Aiko :p

Another good episode imo. Time to step things up to beat Eiji. I kind of like Eiji's ideas with his manga work this episode. The guy is strange but he sure has talent.

Novelist mangaka's trouble, but took care of it by everyone visiting her.

About new manga magazine and new position. Niizuma is cute when soon to leave editor-in-chief visits each mangaka. Also his memory of Saikou's uncle. I kinda shed tears watching that part of anime even if I know it from manga.

lol~ both of them are into dark hero for new works!

Ohoho. Its time for Zombie and Demons!

From the looks of it, they skipped the second arc of Nanamine! Dang. I guess it is for the better... but I won't see the other manga in color. Bakuman also has deep content, so the remaining episode count will be dedicated to this.

lol, it sounds like their ultimate manga will be a demon version of death note with double protagonists similar to L vs Light. Knew that was coming sooner or later =p.

Bakuma, it's always good. They skipped an arc huh. So manga readers, the final 8 episodes going to wrap up the series you think or odds favor one more season?

I'm happy they're skipping the other Nanamine arc, because I am really looking forward to this one :)

It would be nice if the missing arc is getting an OVA later on, though.

Aw man here we go the introductions to Zombie Gun and Reversi

It's great to see the parallels between Bakuman and the actual mangaka themselves. In future episodes we'll get an idea of how Death Note played out behind the scenes with Reversi being used as the metaphor.

Sad Iwase's conflict just was in and out like that but there isn't really any other way to do it : / I've always disliked Miura since he was introduced, he never really connected with any of his others the way Yuujirou did with Niizuma or Hattori and Ashirogi Muto. He just does things for his self without taking other people into consideration

Pretty nice episode.

Loved the end, they both are going to do similar manga's, only on one side are demons, and on other zombies, can't wait to see more. :D

Dark hero? Fight between ideals? Well that's Death Note for you, probably everyone have thought about it while watching this episode. And I thought about it just now, DN is a perfect example of unorthodox battle manga, isn't it? :)

One more thing - is it just me, or Eiji's zombie manga reminds of that new movie, Warm Bodies? It's about zombie who falls in love with a human girl. It's not usual theme in zombie movies, after all :)

The Dark Hero idea immediately reminded me of Death Note. Seems like an okay manga.

I'm not into the whole zombie thing - but I would probably prefer reading Eiji's story over AM's. Can't wait to see how this season ends. But the whole "LET'S SHOUT OUT OUR IDEAS AND GET AMPED UP FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME!" gets old...

Well, this is the final season - that has been confirmed. I am REALLY hoping they can finish it up in 8 episodes but I'm not sure how they will unless they skip a lot or Miho gets her arc shafted (which is a very real possibility).

It's a tough call, slower paced but unfinished or rushed but animated til the end. Personally, I would prefer it to be animated til the end. I really want to see the Miho arc - I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Also, just my opinion but the skipped arc wasn't very good and I was glad when it ended in the manga.

With a whole arc skipped, now they have 8 episodes to adapt 25 chapters.

It's more than enough, I don't think they will have any problem with the pacing.

8 episodes are enough to adapt the rest without skipping anything.

OT:
I'm glad they skipped Nanamine's 2nd arc, it felt really out of place in the manga and it was just a recycled version of Nanamine's arc, but he found a new way to do things; making old men get serialized in Jump with the ideas of hundreds of young boys, using money again.
They also covered the back-story cleverly by changing the old man with the Chief Editor.

I really felt for Iwase in this episode. The goal she was running after is no more and she got nothing left to go after, no wonder her work was half-assed. Though the problem is hers to begin with, holding pride in herself and she led herself to this state, but good to see that she finally realized there are people who care about her.

And finally we reach the Death Note of Bakuman, though with demons and more battle-like this time, and Niizuma's zombie manga. I'm disappointed a bit with how they left out the new Chief's 'coolness', but hopefully they'll show it next episode.

Actually, when Saiko was thinking of stuff to increase the quality with after Shuujin had decided on the demon powers, I thought he was creating Death Note itself xD That would've been funny.
And the art of the Justice Demon really reminded me of Zetman btw.

Also can anyone confirm? Is this the last season? It has a certain feeling, like it's almost over when it's getting really interesting :(

It was the most interesting episode. For, the characters named the best manga--Hi no Tori, Glass Mask, Rose of Versailles and Barefoot Gen. And they said Eiji was going to create a best manga that would not get outdated. I'm not sure what manga it is, but if it is Death Note, he fails. Surely Death Note is fun to read and became controversial in real world, but that's all. Unlike Barefoot Gen, it's not a manga that would fundamentally change the readers' view on life.

Iwase getting depressed over NATURAL becoming less popular but everyone comes out and encourages her to continue drawing manga. Sasaki leaving Shounen Jack and transferring to Hissho Jack as the Editor-in-Chief. Loved the scene where Sasaki tells him that he has been somewhat 'favouring' Ashirogi Mutou and seeing that flashback with Tarou.
LOL Niizuma's new manga does remind me of that new movie 'Warm Bodies.' xD
Ashirogi Mutou's new manga is basically Death Note, hell yessss!! Looks so dope. :D
