Bad opening.
Bad seiyou for Tomoe.
Bad blond hair.
Bad osts.
Bad pacing.
Bad environment.

I was waiting for this too much and was rly disappointed ;-;

Really? I think Tomoe and nanami's seiyuu fit decently actually. Tomoe's hair isn't blond it's white/silver,so I think they made it ok.It's the way I imagined it from first day I started reading the manga.of course the pacing isn't like in the manga.Personally I'd hate it if they'd do something like animate 1 manga chapter in one episode .....it would get kinda boring. I agree, and this is something I am a bit sad about. The art is pretty but obviously made with low budget.KH deserves better art :X:X Despite that I still loved Tomoe :X and the episode was fun also.

My point WAS that they shouldn't have made his hair blond in so many scenes xD His hair isn't blond and that's why it's bad! xD

As for the seiyou, I just expected something a bit more deep. Sure it sounds mysterious but it sounds so light and girly sometimes. Just no. If it were a tone deeper, everything would be better.

And it doesn't have to be the manga's pacing to be nice. It just wasn't nice xD And yeah ,ti should have better animation. It was a funny episode but dunno, it didn't give the same feeling as the manga T^T Oh well, as long I still have my manga, it's fine T^T

I was looking forward to this one and i can't say that i am disappointed the characters where pretty funny.
Tho it did feel a little rushed to me but that might be personal.
Looking forward to the next episode.

Firstly: I LOOOVE THE OP. It's so addictive. And the ED is very interesting.

Hm... I think the first episode is a little bit too fast-paced, but it isn't really a flaw, just my personal notice. But I have to say, this show is really cute!ww I really liked the main female lead, finally a shoujo heroine that isn't a hysterical ojou-sama. I liked graphics, though they're simple, and the animation seems rather cheap.

I have a very good first impression of this anime, so I'll continue watching it. And when it's done airing, I'll read the manga, I think.

I found subs on the page haruhichan.com from the group anime-koi...can someone tell me if these subs are any good? Would be appreciated!

I felt they did a nice job. Some of the vocab was a bit different for one familiar with the manga, Land God becomes Earth Deity, and shrine familiar becomes divine messenger.

I definitely enjoyed the ep. It was fast paced, but it didn't really bother me.

I have to admit, I'm more of a fan of Karakuri Odette, but this is wonderful anyway! The adaption makes me happy, and it helps that generally the series fills me with smiles anyway. So cheers to this start, the look and connections of the characters get a thumbs up from me.

I loved when she was like, "I'm homeless because my dad left me all his debts..." and he was like..... ::pause:: ". . . . I DON'T CARE!" *kick*

lol

So good. Looking forward to more of Tomoe's smexyness.

Is it just me or are these new anime moving too fast in the first episode? By the end of this episode she seemed too accustomed with her "new" life. I don't know, her saying "let's go back to the temple" at the end. She sure got used to the chores and such in just a day!

Oh well, I'll give it a shot.

I'm not a big fan of romantic comedies and I don't know why I picked this show up in the first place, but I guess it was because the main character (Tomoe) looked hot. But after the first episode, I'm quite surprised, it's pretty good! I've never read the manga so I don't know anything about the storyline, but it seems pretty interesting. I liked the opening (the ending was alright too, but nothing special) and the art, too.
Looking forward to the next ep.

Waiting eagerly on a kind group to sub this first ep!!! I personally think the main guy reminds me of a badass Yuki from Fruits Basket instead. The artwork is really similar. But I agree, quality of art could be so much better. As for the opening song? Weird. Don't quite like it, yet it seems to fit.

A friend of mine is super into the manga, but I wasn't a big fan. That said, I found the first episode to be okay. I know a lot of people mentioned the fast pace as a turn off, but I found it helped me keep my attention. *sigh* I'm probably just an old lady that's outgrown shoujo it seems XP

One question I had though for anyone still monitoring the board: there were a lot of complaints about the VA choice for Tomoe...what would you have preferred instead? I thought he fit well...

TBH this just looks like a cheap half assed adaptation of the manga and they are already shortening scenes and changing them, like they did with the hag part for example.

This just seems lazy, it is another Shoujo that they decided to be cheap with. I can already safely say the manga is better and will continue to be the better of the two.

Yes! Even though I've already said my 2 cents, I thought the same thing you did when I saw KH. Lol. You put it in a blunter way though. :o Wished they put more effort into it... especially the first episode.
