Finally an episode who sets up something good. The mysteries are well handled and even if the "new" character had really so few screentime it was developed very well. Overall 5/5

ok I have no idea what is going on. Not sure whether this is because I had like 2 months break between ep 3 and ep 4, or because it's confusing at the start. Still, cool episode

Your not alone, im watching them in order and i still have no idea what the hell is going on lol. This series has one of the most confusing plots ive seen. I hope things will start to unravel the further we go along though. All i get from this episode is that Thoma and that other little kid finally rescued Helga. But i don't get why she is a girl of few words and why she freaks out every time she looks at someone. It is like she has a connection to all these mysterious characters that keep showing up. Now we get once again a new character, an old women that says she is 24 which is strange for sure but im assuming maybe she had some sort of experiment done on her? Also that ghost girl that shows up i have no idea who that is, but assuming its her sister.

All of this is even more complicated by the different time frames that take place in the show, i think this is one of those series, that finally after i understand everything, ill have to go back and watch again to fully appreciate it.

The next episode, yet another mystery women shows up and it looks like the mother of that old women in the flash back but i guess from a different time.

I guess Helga is the reincarnation of Serafina and Christina who those white haired children seek since like hundreds of years. I don't know why is she so important to them but they missed Serafina 100 years ago which was a great loss for them. I want to know the reason behind those paintings too.

No, they showed the other escapee who went back to his family but seems to have gotten old too. That woman was most likely his wife.

4th episode now and we add ghosts and super aging people...this is starting to become too much. We need some answers for some of this.

the moment i saw her dead sister's ghost, i knew this episode was gonna be eerie for me. i just don't like silent ghosts in the background, it's too ominous. *shiver* paired with the fact that only helga could see the ghost. what i don't get is helga's dislike towards thoma, the boy is trying to be friendly every time he sees her but she gives him the snake eye or makes the mood of the room into a soggy wet piece of bread. like girl, what has your panties in a bunch? chill a bit on the weird animosity lol. and it's weird because it's obvious that she's a kind person, i think she's the type that needs to warm up to somebody first.
no children huh... don't wanna say i'm upset...
it's strange that they aged so fast, what were they doing to them? some weird lab shit? sucks that she's only 24 and yet she's already dead. i'd bet that sweating old man at the end is also up for his due time as well. one of the ending bits, after the ending song with the classical music in the background is sooooooo familiar to me. i can't put my finger on it, i know that i haven't heard it from this anime so it must be from somewhere else where a specific tune sounds like i've heard it before... driving me up the wall.

Some crazy experiments are going on, but how would someone benefit of letting a person age rapidly like that..? At least I can't figure out a motive which would satisfy me within this context, it will surely make more sense as the plot moves on and once we find out more about the Belfort children.

Shinons death was in any case pretty sad, too bad that she wasn't able to see her mother. Speaking of which, the other old person that escaped already met up with his younger sister( I guess)

The reason why Helga could see the ghost of Shinons sister must definitely be linked to her past of which I definitely would like to learn more about.

We get hints here and there, but also plenty of new questions pop up in each episode, great watch so far.

And... we're back to me having no idea what the hell is going on. I've somewhat missed this feeling
I really have no idea what to think of this episode. It's clear that something was done to the woman, and its related to the children, I'm just not sure what. Dumas doesn't age as much as the others despite the fact they are all meant to reincarnate in groups together it seems like? And here we have a woman who has aged too much, and can see the ghost that Helga can. Was the woman given the memories of one of the children in an attempt to see if that would slow her aging or deterioration but instead it had the opposite effect?
I did have to have a little chuckle at the tree branch that oh so conveniently goes to Helga's window and none other though.

Helga detests Thoma. Wonder why that is.

Rapid aging is always a downer, and I find it hard to believe there'd be any experiment trying to purposely induce it. If anything, said rapid aging would be a mishap with an experiment intended to achieve the exact opposite, like an experiment in eliminating the effects of aging.
