| If it was 13 I would rage mostly because scanlations are very slow for the manga. |

So unless she writes the show, they'll either have to stop or make something up... I know from people talking about future matches that she has indeed written more beyond Bijou. Enough so that if they wanted to stretch out the Bijou match as much as Tousei's, there would still be plenty of slice-of-life left to fill out twenty-six episodes. So if the Summer Tournament series is indeed announced to stop airing after just this season, it will simply be because A-1 thought they'd do better that way. A-1 is single-handedly running the Anime no Chikara thing, so it may just be that they've taken too much on their plate, and/or specifically made more Oofuri now to ensure they won't bottom out if Anime no Chikara doesn't go as well as expected. |

| It will be 13 episodes indeed. Kinda sad though. We can just hope that some company licenses the second season, otherwise there wont be an S3. Ookiku, though is pretty popular in Japan. But not as popular as Major (yet to see myself) or Cross Game (which already ended, both Manga and the Anime). Clicking spoilers ruins shows. You have been warned. Remember that Mihashi and the gang are in their first Koushien and we already have this much excitement. There are still 5 Koushiens left in their High School days after this (excluding the practice matches and the preliminaries of course!). |

Thanks for the correction :) I always thought the end of summer changes their high school status, so I thought they are still freshers since the second year's semester 1 starts after the end of summer. From the figures I've seen in terms of manga and DVD sales, Oofuri is far above those two titles (approximately 2 to 3 times more). Don't know about the TV ratings though but I suspect Oofuri's faring pretty well too. So I think we can say that Oofuri is more popular in Japan than the 2 titles you cited. Personally, I love Cross Game too, but baseball is only one third of the title, with romance and slice-of-life being the other two genres involved. |

| I'm not that surprised it's only 13. I dunno why but when waiting for this long and it was still questionable how long it would be, it just seemed to be siding with the 13. Hopefully we'll get more seasons in the future. |

| they not have good place to stop if want make this season have more than 13 episode, I guess they wait for manga material have a "checkpoint" befoer making more adaptation of it. Damn... I got spoiled on this thread, whatever... |
