Who knew a preist and ogre could co-exist after all. I guess there are kind souls in their world. Unfortunately, as this anime takes place in a world of despair, their peace didn't last long. Looked like a standalone style adventure episode but it does goes to show the bond between a human and non-human. It's too bad peace never seems to last long in this show. |

Quite a packed ass introduction today. No ED. They wanted to really maximise our time with Uhak. Definitely one of the more interesting champions we’ve been introduced to so far. A kind soul, but utterly terrifying at the same time. So the village got hit with a Higurashi style fear disease or what? I’m confused on how and why they started turning on each other. At that point I got no issue with Uhak eating their dead bodies, no need in letting that go to waste if they’ve already resolved to kill you. I think everything really went to shit when that wolf pup got killed. Speaking of which, the sound effects in that Belka scene were pure nightmare fuel. Fucking hell the sound of her brain getting eaten will stay with me forever Think it’s fair to see he’s one of the weaker competitors? But still excited to see him fight since he has immunity to word arts. Not as good as the last couple’s, but solid. |

So more new characters are introduced… I’ve watched all 20 episodes (so far) of Ishura in 2025 and I could not tell you who the main character is nor could I actually tell you what it’s about. This series just seems to be a slow burning anthology with no connected storylines or characters and it’s honestly, pretty boring. |

Is it just me or there are too many spoilish comments lately? I don't think this is a right place to discuss light novel. Anyway, I'm very wary of Uhak, after all it doesn't make sense to have two giant candidates with kindness, one of them has to be different, and Uhak plays this role. Some might say that Uhak is still kind but from his own standard, not human standard. 4 episodes left with 5 characters unintroduced yet (from anime official site). I doubt that there'll be enough time for some kind of big show down. |

One of my favorite episode. They totally overdid themselves with Uhak's story. His introduction is just 30 pages, even less than Toroa's and they have expanded on it greatly, showing way more than the novel showed. I really expected them to cover 2 characters in this episode, and rushing through the story, showing the bare minimal, but they did what ever good adaption should aim for. Take an idea from the source and expand on it, tell a story better. I never thought I'd say that an anime adaptation of a chapter is better than the novel version. I never regarded Passione as a great studio, but this season defnitely make them stand out in my eyes. Since novel adaptations are usually always rushed. Now since they only did Uhak this episode, and the next episode is name Kazuki the Black Tone, that means they will only cover one character again... I hope they make a banger adaptation like this episode, cause Kazuki's part has to be one of the best this volume. I also hope they do a one character introduction for Tu the Magic next episode, since her part is my absolute favorite, but one can only hope. But that confirms that there is no way they will cover the tournament this season. There should be 2 matches at the end of volume 3... So either there are more than 12 episodes, or it's a first time I'm witnessing an incomplete volume adaptation. But that can also mean that there is a big chance they are making a season 3. Because originally I doubted that... I thought they'd show the 2 fights, make viewers really excited, since those matches are breath-taking and then tell us to 'read novel'. I think it's way better to make these thoroughly explored character episodes, rather than rushing them, when the character stories in the novel already feel like they should be much longer than they are currently are. The 3rd volume is also about True Demon King, so it's good for an anime to take it slower and not rush, so that the True Demon King can leave a greater impact. Like Belka's story this episode was perfect, showed how terrifying the True Demon King truly is, had it been rushed, it wouldn't leave as great of an impact... Regarding the episode, I was especially happy with the following scenes: 1)how Uhak eats berries and nuts 2)Why she named him 'Silent' . The story of Melyurge the Silent who was able to stop conflicts without saying a word. 3)Seeing little Nofelt(Uhak's sponsor) and Kuze as kids, considering it wasn't shown in the novel.4) About bunny and how Cunodey treated it, and the look on Uhak's face. 5)Belka scene and how Uhak stops Word Arts and his angry face 6)scene with Kuze arriving was way way better in the anime. 7)Uhak leaving a flower on her corpse, which I don't remember to be in the novel |

Ok, in this episode we are introduced to a character that overturns the very foundation of this world. Uhak the Silent. He's a silent champion. He negates word arts so you have to face him with just physical strength. In the episode it's stated he "forces his perceived reality upon others, willing it into law." So since he doesn't have word arts and can't use it others around him can't either. So it might not be just limited to word arts that he can negate based on this description. It seems to imply maybe he negates the supernatural as well. Not just specifically word arts. So besides spells and such he could be immune to other things like the Vampires. Also magic items maybe? like those enchanted swords Tora uses? could be considered things he can negate. So Uhak might counter at lot of the champions He's an Ogre so one of the more physically powerful champions. He's basically a straight counter to those like Kia the World Word who relies on abilities other than physical. Uhak basically turns off magic and forces everyone to play Mortal Combat instead. Honestly the other champions might not even get to fight like the Giant lady that was killing everyone this episode. We also got Yukiharu the Twilight Diver someone that's researching into the True demon king. He also has a talking box. Definitely not going to be important. You might be able to tell what it is by the voice though |

@LeWatcher Uhak's power is to negate all supernatural things, so all things that violate the laws of physics will disappear, such as giant bodies, kaiju, dragons etc. will collapse due to their weight. |

I’m very pleased to see this episode was completely dedicated to introducing just Uhak, that really gave it the time it needed to flesh him out, kinda funny I’m saying that since he can’t even speak but actions are louder than words as they say. And yeah, I knew this village wasn’t gonna make it past this episode, I was pleasantly surprised that he was so welcomed at first but the whole time I was like “there’s still time in the episode for it to get bad”, and bad it got lol. I’m thinking it probably started with the killing of the wolf pup, the moment Cunodey did that it was over, she was justified in that action but there’s no universe where Uhak brought her that pup for that reason, even knowing why she did it it hurt to watch. And then the stuff with Belka happened, it was really cool seeing just a taste of what the True Demon King is capable of, same with Uhak and his ability to negate Word Arts, but yeah eating Belka’s brains wasn’t gonna go over well with the people’s view of Uhak, even if he just saved all their asses. Now I’m seeing some say that the True Demon King caused the people to go mad, but I can also see it being a case of people letting fear get the better of them, either way it was kinda satisfying seeing Uhak tear some ass there, you come knocking on the big guy’s door, you get the big guy, can’t say I feel bad for them, and it also fills the Ishura quota of having many die in a character introduction lol. And it was really sweet how Uhak did not eat Cunodey despite her wish to be eaten after death, I’m glad he still saw her in such a good light despite what she did to that pup. And lastly, nice to see Kuze again, this story kinda tied into his backstory so it makes sense he would show up, same with that Nofelt fella who was also apparently one of Cunodey’s kids, it’s fitting that he would be Uhak’s sponsor. |

Silent has an interesting ability. I wonder how it will fit in with the others later on. He used his realism on Belka. Her flesh collapsed under its own weight. Turned off the magic, too. Brutal. That's interesting. For him, the most dangerous enemy is simply a well-trained person or group. The ones who don't have any special magic or abilities. And then there's the opposite. The World Word Elf. How will she interact with him? She'll give him orders and he'll be like, no, sorry, didn't listen? She's going to bend the world and he's going to straighten it out? So he's the perfect candidate to kill her. The anti-mage. So she realized her hypocrisy when she wrote the letter. Ogre had brought the wolf puppy to be sheltered and nurtured. His logic is simple. She sheltered me (the monster), so she helps everyone, or so she says. The wolf pup needs help. She helps everyone. So he brought it. He's not familiar with human hypocrisy. |

@CaptainKenshiro Technically, a giant with a bow could shoot him. A real steel ballistic arrow would be a little hard for him to stop. The fake hero is also a strong contender for killing an ogre. He's basically just a badass swordsman. Interesting that the author makes up all kinds of rock paper scissors. The Willow-Sword could probably take a swing at an ogre, too. But because he's an alien and his powers have a different basis. |

The travelling Yukimaru the Twilight Diver, having survived Heng's decimation, continues his journey in the Gokashe Sand Sea towards Arimo Village, and it always seems that he's luck incarnated. The distant Arimo Village, where Oracle Cunodey the Ring Seat and the orphans stayed, the witnessing of the ogre of Uhak the Silent, he's one strange entity doesn't kill humans, or rather, understood the language of the world. Cunodey bestowing the Silent name on Uhak, as a reference to one of the village's best negotiators, even acclimating him to life in the small village itself, the oracle finding solace within him for the village to also get used to loving and appreciating his presence...only to witness her killing a wolf pup that he saved out from the cold, that's brutal. But nothing says all the more than the giant of Belka the Rending Quake opting for cannibalism hearing the True Demon King's voice within her, only to go into a rage, Uhak interfering with his Silent word, only to take his cudgel and start executing her to do the same as well, Arimo Village never remained the same again, with the clear evil energy that Uhak is the new terror of the village alongside Cunodey. Kuze saving her in time, with the difference of Uhak learning the reality of the world around him, and their lives were changed forever. Aureatia coming for Uhak to take him in, what a tragic story for the ogre who shows indifference yet is kind-hearted and nurtured in silence. What a powerful episode this is. |

I wonder what Yukiharu's goal is or what he’s searching for. There’s a woman of some sort with him—probably inside that thing he’s carrying on his back. Oracle’s story is a tragic one. He may be an ogre, but he’s kind nonetheless. Minia—or rather, humans—always fear what they can’t conquer with their own hands. They turned against the very people who showed them kindness—the old lady and Oracle. |

Alright so the bum i called previously have some strange name, a japanese one? perhaps he's the one that been called a visitor from a Lycan before, and he researching the existence of the True Demon King? Perhaps the box that Tanjirou always brought on him can be the answer to his existence there? Meanwhile the premiere story related to another monster champion. An Ogre with a very absolute ability. Yeah well damn after reading the replies above, he's one of those kind that can easy destroy the previous strong contenders. Poor Sekai No Kia, i hopes she's not meeting those ogre first. Wish Elea found Uhak information first before dealing with the oracle ogre whenever they meet. Otherwise its a done deal to she, and her grand ambition. Really worth the one-only episode introduction regarding the powerful ability the silence ogre had. Yes, cause Kuze also there too. A first season character comeback is so appreciated. |

this anime actually has a good potential since it has so many interesting character with their own unique power and traits, but the endless single story introduction and we never ever get to reach the tournament is kinda tiring, I mean, it takes almost 2 season just for introduction, seriously? and I still don't understand what's with the author obssession with "the blablabla A", "the blablabla B" title thingy.. almost everyone has a title, it became a common thing for everyone to have that make it lost it's meaning. |

@Abyhape Those title represent who they are or how their abilities work. (Except Tu, the magic.) |
