Money problems and Gaku making an important move in the same episode! No joke, I was hoping the company would manage their finances better but it's harder than it looks.

Gaku getting more and more daring each episode.

Future Gaku owns a boat and people come to meet & greet HIM, including bikini-clad gravure idols. But he's still the same introvert.
Human relations are Haru's specialty as he demonstrates with the wine mouthwash stunt to grab the attention of an entertainment industry bigwig.
Rinrin's the most sensible one there.
Kirihime's dad is not happy that DragonMusume's anonymous creator, Hebijima got poached by Trillion Game. She makes a valid point that he was wasted talent.
He is vicious and starts rumours over God Promotion circulating, undoing Haru and Rinrin's work.

I knew Haru didn't seem like the type to have bad breath but like, still. Using mouthwash is definitely one of the ways to speedrun getting connected with a big shot of all time.

Sakura sure loves to yap about heart but he definitely demonstrated he had it at the end there.

What that Old Man from Dragon Bank did was unforgivable. It was also a MAJOR crime, way beyond Insider Trading. I've seen some under handed things before, but this one takes First Prize!

I'm glad we got more of Haru this episode. Not only with his guts, he got to pick up a beautiful woman but simultaneously he got to introduce himself to a very important person in the entertainment industry.

I know short selling and I'm also glad viewers get to be introduced to these concepts.

I truly wonder how many stock fall "predictions" (which function like self-fulfilling prophecies) in the real world have been legitimate pieces and how many were targeted shorting attacks, instigated by mercenary "analysts".

Shorting works by borrowing stocks and after a certain time giving them back to the lender for a fee. Shorting is explicitly tied to borrowing stocks, so for as long that is allowed shorting will be at play too.

Both borrowers and lenders take a risk. The borrower bets the stock will fall, while the lender hopes it will not or -even better- that it will rise. If the stock drops 30% then the borrower has a 30% net profit minus the fee; e.g. if $100,000 worth of stocks was borrowed then the borrower owes $70,000 worth of stocks and pockets the $30,000 (minus a ~5% or so fee).

So when stocks fall the borrowers gain and the lenders lose. By contrast if the stock rose 30% then the borrower would lose, since they'd owe $130,000 to the lender + the fee. I suspect this is what will happen in the next episode. We already know God Promo's stock will not fall more than 30%, the writers already spoiled it with their future scenes - the cruise ship one in particular.

So I assume Haru will come up with something and their stock will rebounce. And if it rises way above its original value the old man will lose a lot of money..

More Haru moments is always great to see aha, but now GodPro has their stock destroyed, and they won't ditch Hebijima who became a real bro I guess lol, but now we probably need Haru to save the situation

Gaku and Rinrin being pleased that Hebijima is with them, it's all thanks to Haru and God Promo making him an instant millionaire, but being the one who controls the media empire is quite the lofty goal, and there's no one else than Haru who can make connections with his slick talk of lies. And if anything, Old Man Sumeragi being the don of the entertainment industry, who doesn't show himself a lot, reaps Kedoin's eyes...and Haru having his super-important mouthwash to create the fabrication, he's always many steps ahead of the game.

While bankruptcy is on the tables for Trillion Game, Inc., selling God Promo stock is a no-no, and security loans are the next best thing to at least keep their company afloat, even if they could lose it all within a split moment that's just more than enough to cover their development costs. And Dragon Bank President Kokuryu wanting to shorten the fuse on God Promo, word gets out rather fast with both Haru and Kedoin knowing what's up. Hebijima thinking that Trillion Game could fire him instead, but he's too inside of their deal to ever back out of this now.

The short selling craze puts both Haru and Gaku at a loss, so what will the rebound actually look like?
