| Is everyone aware how much Ryoga is an asshole compared to Ranma?? Everytime Ryoga tries to spread Ranma's secret to everyone or he refuses to help, etc. Anyway, this episodes shows Ranma is a cool person, genuinely worried about shampoo even tho she tried to kill her and Akane multiple times. |
| Not gonna lie, i was convinced all of this would have been handled like Urusei Yatsura remake in regards to the amount of episodes, so it still feels odd to abruptly go on hiatus at 12 only like a average seasonal series and with a episode that didn't seem very season-finalesque like many others already noticed. Nothing much to add honestly, i preferred how the original anime made Akane regain her memories of Ranma, especially... As someone who still considers the 1989 series as a top 10 favorite in Anime, it was a pretty good callback considering also artstyle and new OP and ED. Will return for more. |

| This season's ending is not as abrupt as Dandadan's, but still feels like it just ends all of a sudden. It's all good though, we have immediate season 2 announcements after both. Switched back and forth from sub to dub for the first couple episodes and settled on sub, and watched this last episode dubbed. And I gotta say: I think dub is the way to go. I think the voice acting fits the characters well and isn't as jarring as dubs sometimes are. But most importantly it's just more pleasant to listen to; with the sub, voices can get irritating imho. This goes especially for Akane- it's like she's a whole different person dubbed, and she feels much less annoying and I just like her a lot more this way. Anyway if you couldn't tell already, watch this and the next season dubbed- unless you are like super against dubs and avoid them like the plague, then you do you ig. Anyway yeah so that's the first season of the reboot/remake/whateverthefuck of Ranma 1/2 that started airing back in 1989. Can't compare the two because well I've never watched the original (briefly watched the first episode of the original, and it seems pretty similar, I think I'd like both pretty much equally. I'd prefer the fresh coat of paint of this new one, but I hear that it is kind of rushed compared to the original which covers more and probably flows better as a result. Again, can't compare, but just judging from this reboot alone, well I like it), but yeah, this was solid. Sure went by quick. Was expecting a 24 episode season with just how quick it felt, and I wish it would've been so. But again it's ok, season 2 is on the way already. Solid production, and each episode is packed with fun- and yeah I gotta say again is even better (because everyone sounds much less annoying imho) dubbed. Would I watch 160 episodes of this? Would it get old fast with just Akane beating up Ranma all the time (everyone punching each other all the time is dumb and hilarious, but Akane punching Ranma just pisses me off. If there's an episode where Ranma gives Akane a nice helpful serving of pure gender equality, that'll be the day)? Idk, idk if this plot or whatever does progress in any way. If it does, sure I'll watch hundreds of episodes of this. But if is purely episodic with now building of the central plot of Ranma and Akane's engagement, then it'll probably eventually be a pass from me. For now though, since we're just 12 episodes in- and boy what a fast 12 episodes these were- it's been quite a blast actually. Solid 7/10. Looking forward to the next season. edit: oh yeah forgot to mention something HIGHLY important: Shampoo best girl baby sit the fuck down. Man I know Ranma's engaged and all, but I hope he returns at least some of all that love that Shampoo is giving him. Who cares anyway, Ranma and bitch Akane don't (on the surface at least) want to be engaged and definitely don't act like they are anyway. Well at the very least, the act like an old married couple maybe. But still, I don't really care about Akane, especially after her character-'development' haircut. Like apparently a lot of people don't like Ryoga, and I'm assuming it's because he's getting between Ranma and Akane. So yeah idc about Akane so I have no problem with Ryoga whatsoever. And speaking of Akane's haircut: WHY OH WHY bro, she looked way better with long hair. Short hair can be cute and all, but Akane's kind is NOT it. I get they have to make it like the original, but if they could change one thing up, I'd definitely bring the hair back. I'll allow all the bitchiness, just bring back the hair 🙏 ok rant over be on your way now |

| Ranma is right that its kind of a waste to reject Shampoo. His relationship (if you can even call it that) with Akane was very rocky so far. Great adaptation so far. Very high quality animation and beautiful art style. The only sad part is they didn't have the guts to go uncensored. |

| Love it so cute, Ranma seemed like and ass in Akane's "Flashbacks/Memories" lol. Shampoo should turn to yuri, that would be peak. Thought there would be more episodes, so sad its only 12. Watched this an DanDaDan, now both animes are finished. |
| The episode was hilarious as always but seeing Shampoo cry hurt :'(. And that's how the season ends... This was such a good remake. Having watched a bit of the original but without getting that far, I remembered a few things while watching this but everything felt so fresh anyway that it ended up being just as much fun as the original and with a nice visual update. Now, as much as I liked it, I still hate the Barbie doll body thing. It's a shame that it's there, I never liked it and never will. Best girl goes to female Ranma. It's the first time I watch this series in its original language and one of the highlights is definitely Megumi Hayashibara voicing her, she's too cute. That said, I feel that Shampoo only loses because she showed up too late. She has my favorite design and is cute as hell so my decision might change from here on out haha. Another highlight for me was the little intros in each episode, I really enjoyed that. Looking forward to season 2! |

Thats what I’d do🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ Like usual I gotta say some gooner shit and that is…Ranma is exactly like me bro went to grab the bottle with no hesitation haha and there were a LOTTTT of Shampoo ass shots in this episode man, that dress she was wearing made her look THICK asf ngl and i didn’t even realize she was THAT STACKED man 10/10 fr fr😩😩😩😩😩😩 All that horny shit aside I knew there was a season 2 announced or cour 2 or whatever and didn’t expect this episode to end so abruptly like that there’s a lot of things that still need to be covered but I’m guessing all that will be solved by season 2, but tbh the ending felt like there was gonna be an episode 13 ngl💀💀 Funniest part in this episode was Ryoga saying he’s gonna beat up Ranma and then you punching sounds only to see Ryoga knocked out bc Ranma screaming bc he beat him up🤣 Overall my critic rating is a 9/10 but I’m giving this a 10/10 bc this was such a fun and funny watch man I love this shit and i can’t wait for season 2 man🤩🤩🤩🤩     |
| This series manages to continuously annoy me (in a bit of a good way)... Ranma is always so stupid, Akane is always jumping to conclusions without even hearing him out, and all these side characters are getting in the way of what we all really want. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed every episode (as someone who didn't watch the OG), so I'm certainly looking forward to S2 of this infuriating story. Anyone else feel like this season finale was kinda bad though? It just ended without any cliffhanger or anything, felt like it needed one more episode to finish up this season. |

| When I first heard the name Shampoo, I thought it was just a cute name, but finding out she actually uses shampoo as part of her ultimate technique was hilarious. It was heartbreaking to see her so crushed in the end, but I’m sure she’ll make a comeback in the second season, or at least I really hope she does. |
| Damn Shampoo just learned about Ranma female and Ranma male being the same person, it's sad how she just left... I'm looking forward to seeing S2 now, kinda sad it ends up in the middle of the story like that for Shampoo's development with Ranma :/ I wish they did 2 cours back to back because the anime has been pretty good so far |

| now that ive watched season 1 of the remake i can finally say a bit as being someone that has seen the original the original is by far still superior in pretty much everyway now im not saying the remake is bad cause it is still really good its just there are certain things that could be better like the new OST is no where near as good as the original, also ther overall art style just at times feels cheap in a lot of ways and lacks a lot of details that the original had the original loked a lot better also the over all feel for a lot of moments felt a lot more rushed in this than in the original and yeah i know the original had a good amount of filler but even its filler was really nice to have imo with that said the remake again is still really good and im really happy to see the series is back like it is its nice to know that ranma is not forgotten and is making a huge comeback like this the only thing now is to see how far the remake goes as i can only hope it does the whole series as even the original didnt do the full series |
