My favorite part of this fight is that Kubo saw the design they did for Kyoraku's zanpaktou spirit in the old filler and decided "I like that. I'm gonna keep it."
| @Red_Ranger_Wien Kubo made those designs for the rebellion filler arc. Every Zanpakuto spirit was designed by Kubo. |

| It was a nice episode 4/5 to me. Kyoraku is a type of cliché character I'm not a big fan of, also I don't like so much this kind of powers made uberpowerful /still the child's play shikai is interesting/ but I really liked how they adapted his bankai for the anime. To me this was one of the most challenging things about watching an anime like this years after the end of the manga, they were able to keep this stuff interesting, imho, they depicted it with that gold color, a sort of raditonal 'sumi-e' style etc. I am curious to know who's gonna be the main fighter in the next episode, maybe Kisuke? |

@deg I've been complaining about this for a while, that's the dumb UNO reverse card bullshittery that I dislike about Bleach, this isn't new in shounen but Bleach takes this bullshit to a whole new other level and gets pretty retarded.

| @xZabuzax that's one of the things I don't get about the reception of this arc. All they say is "peak this, peak that" but the fights are poorly one dimensional. Unlike the previous arcs they at least had "bruh" jokes in between and had good trash-talking. TYBW has neither. |

| @Gator As someone from that area fo study, it just really doesn't translate well if you are not familiar with japanese games and theater plays. People outside Japan are destined to kinda just look at it and go "Oookaaay...?? What was that all about? lol", and that's comprehensible. Someone wrote a deep dive a while ago about it on a post, if you are curious about the content, however. |

| Wow two good episodes back to back, perhaps I judged this season too soon. I hope the remaining episodes of the season are as interesting as episodes 8 and 9. |
