This was a long time coming. It's seriously about time that Alicia confronted Liz. I never liked Liz much in this show with her forced smile in public and her blend personality. She's around because of her ulterior motives at school.

Can't stand her tears this episode either. It felt like Liz represents the opposite of Alicia in almost every way.

God I’m so glad they finally confronted Liz and put an end to her annoying ass charm gimmick. They tried giving her a sob story explanation as to why she charmed people but I just don’t really care and am over her as a character.

Thankfully everything all resolved now and we should have no more issues.(unless that memory loss thing at the end is related) But the audacity to say she hates Alicia because Prince nonce likes her instead is hilarious. It’s no surprise Jane acted the way she did with Carol/Alicia then, Liz had that same sort of insecurity which amplified the emotions of others around her.

I will admit I felt an iota of sympathy when she brought up no one ever teaching her “how to be the saint” and expecting her to be perfect, but she still could’ve reached out for help. She was just drunk on the devotion and simping she got.

Gotta give Duke credit though, flirting with Liz to get her to come along to meet Alicia and then looking at her like she was a dumbass for confessing to him is killing me 😂

Speaking of confessions, cat finally out of the bag with Duke confessing to Alicia. It’s a shame we wasted such a good villainess character like Alicia with this dude. She deserves a way better love interest. I reckon we’ll end off on Alicia responding to Duke and helping him get his memories back next week. This memory loss to get a character to realise their emotions trope has been used a lot lately. UY, Ranma and now this lol.

Good to see Will back in the palace and with his brother! I thought he’d still harbour some hate, but looks like they’re on good terms. I wonder if the mages that he got banished with are the ones behind the memory loss incident along with the king’s mother?

Liz: I love you, Duke
Duke: I love Emilia Alicia
😂😆

And, then... Duke forgot about Alicia just overnight!?? Okay, Alicia has only one episode to solve this problem.

Alicia's counterpart Liz is well-written. She's not someone who's more good or more evil than Alicia, she's just human with all human emotions, she can feel love, and she can want love, and she can feel jealousy when she doesn't get want she want, she's displaying her human nature through her spell. Human nature is the hardest thing to deal with. But that's not a problem since Alicia also want to tackle the challenge on the hardest level, because it's her ideal villainess. Now Liz will test Duke's claim that he'll still love Alicia no matter what. Duke is the only one who hasn't display any real strength yet, and now it's time for him to show that he can be worthy of Alicia.

Oh thank goodness there is a 13th episode. That would have been wild thing to end on.
So this kind of confirms that Liz wanted Ali dead in my eyes, but I guess the awful charm is gone and she'll actually be a decent person now?

So many possibilities. We saw the golden rose start to wither. Is the "game" (villainess otome reincarnation isekai) resetting itself? Is Uncle Will actually evil? Is the King actually Evil? Did Liz use a forgetting spell? Regardless, this will likely end in her exile and Duke proving his love.

I was confused by how Liz's case was resolved just like that. Everything seemed to be going well, but then we saw that in the end.
I forgot that this anime is 13 episodes long. lmao

My bet is it's caused by the other kingdom that keeps attacking Liz. There's no way they'd build that up and turn it into nothing. If it's really Liz, her character-building just becomes stupid and everything she says in these past episodes, especially this episode, doesn't mean anything.

I was right about Liz’s ability to control people—everyone has finally returned to normal and will stop being her followers. Although I can’t entirely blame her, as Liz didn’t know about her charm ability, nor can anyone fault her for falling in love with Duke or disliking Alicia because of it. However, the fact that she took the book with her doesn’t sit well with me. It seems like she might not have decided to move forward on her own terms and could now start using her charm ability willingly. Maybe that’s even why Duke doesn’t remember Alicia.

Speechless Alicia is so damn adorable. Finally, everyone stood up to Liz’s bullshit charm. It was a long time coming, and everyone was finally free of her control. Still, it was a bit anti-climactic the way they dealt with her. I was expecting more fireworks, but we just got a long speech and plot dump. I guess it’s better than seeing it drag on any further. Will finally got to see his brother, the king. WTF was that ending though? Why the fuck doesn't Duke know Alicoa. Please don't tell me fucking Liz did something to him with that fucking book!!! I can't believe this bullshit!!!

Saw that ending coming from a mile away.
People don't change their long time opinions and goals so quickly. Additionally, borrowing the book explaining the Charm Magic of the Saint right there was incredibly suspicious.
I'm surprised that none of them realised. Sure, you could say it's obvious because we are watching this from an outside perspective but I feel it should have been obvious nonetheless.

duke is such a big simp for alicia he'd even flirt right in front of others let and even in front of her brother too it's gotten to a point where it's pretty amusing too ahahah
was nice finally seeing the tryhard circlejerking simps are thinking for themselves now and was interesting seeing how different Liz has become with the vigour to actually become a better person
really nice to know Uncle Will has been accepted back now but holy crap work has conditioned me so much that when they mentioned about Rebecca doing the crime checks in Roana, my mind instantly went ah yes, so a DBS check 😂

duke tho throwing in the who are you punch at the end like bruh, we are one episode away so like ..................why? are you fr??????????????????????????????????
if this is how they're gonna try to reason a season 2 Imma be pissed 'cause that development at the last second is ridiculous

This show is way too optimistic; normally the question about how to deal with Liz’s Charm Magic would be to kill her or to imprison her with one of those anti-Magic collars plus the king would need to be made aware that his precious saint is an incredibly destructive superpower.

We can just tell Liz has something to do with that cliffhanger which is probably going to be annoying to resolve.

Exactly.

The book didn't get restored for no reason at all. Liz then took the book and probably learned to turn up her charm spell to eleven and mind control people.

It's gonna be a Alicia-dark-magic spell that breaks it. Calling it now.

As lame as it is I was hoping Alicia and Liz would end up being friends but there is no way it wasn't Liz learning about the extent of her powers from the book that caused that scene at the end.

All I have to say is if Duke stays "stuck" with this level of brainwash as a cliffhanger for season 2 I'm gonna RAGE.

Hoping this resolves in the next ep/finale....I mean they don't have to progress to the "oh we [Alicia & Duke] love each other, we're getting engaged" level but at least him remembering who Alicia is again (at the end of this season) would be enough to satisfy me.

100% saw that shit coming when she took the book. Getting Remmed would be a pretty annoying way to end the season, so it's a good thing there's another episode. I'm assuming Alicia will have to resort to the extremely obvious "power of love" solution.

I can't believe duke forget Alicia just from overnight٫ it's must be Liz's fault٫ that bitch ruin everything just because duke reject her feeling of love and everyone should know that duke still love Alicia no matter how powerful spells are and I know that duke will & always remember Alicia because of love٫ true love the really really good kind of love never dies.

what low iq drivel. Give the book that can help her use her abilities better to the person that tried to kill you, Alicia. It surely won't bite you in the ass later. What a disappointing anime with ridiculously ignorant characters.

I knew something was off the moment Liz touched the book, and some strange effect happened to it.

Now, we’re left with an intriguing cliffhanger. Most of Liz's charm over others—especially the "hot boy squad"—seems to have worn off, except for Duke, who’s fallen under her spell.

That’s amusing in its own way. I wonder how Alicia will free him from Liz's grasp.

Or maybe Duke is faking it for laughs, given Alicia hasn’t responded to his confession yet. But honestly, I doubt it.

To be honest, while it’s frustrating to see Duke end up in this situation, it’s also pretty funny.

After all, Alicia was the one who told Liz to pursue her own happiness. If Liz is trying to steal Duke away, Alicia can’t exactly blame her for it.

I trust that in the finale, Liz will embrace the role of the villainess while Alicia steps up as the heroine.

The irony of Alicia defeating Liz with the "power of love" would be a hilarious way to end the season. Alicia will never live it down, acting like a typical heroine.

@DexterLivingston

I went and rewatched that part, and the book didn't glow when Liz held it in her arm, but it really looked as if it transformed and became renewed (@13:10±).

At 14:45± Liz says to Alicia: "I've thought so many times that if only you weren't around --" (she's cut off in mid-sentence as the rest of the gang appear).

Actually a very good episode, but that ending wth? What in the world are they even gonna do with just 1 episode left? Like I can't really see this playing out any other way than being a lame s2 cliffhanger or something. (I'm having flashbacks of Seirei Gensouki) The only other thing is to resolve it in 1 episode which tbh, I don't think is enough time to do anything other than make that whole "Who are you" pointless.

Or maybe in episode 13, they do one of those "I was also Isekaied, and I'm your enemy" or something plots twists. But instead of Liz it's Mel, and she's like "Ali Ali, oh no your prince forgot you! Now be bad ass and take him back!" Probably not tbh, but would actually make her Alicia obsession more interesting, she still funny and fine as is tho.

My guess for the ending is Liz learned something from that book or is doing something behind the scenes to wipe out memories of the duke. Either way they gotta wrap up a lot in one more episode. Overall this series wasn't anything special just a typical villainess show which I'm a sucker for. Absolute guilty pleasure genre.
