Mephisto always knows how to make an appearance in public. But all in seriousness, this is the worst mental state Yuko has ever been.

The fact that his emotions are affected on such levels is painful to watch. Rin of course is deeply worried about him. Shura also clearly cares about him given her reaction. These episodes really had emotional impact on Yukio but he's lucky to have so many friends.

Yeah, no way it’s Yukio. If it was him, the shot would’ve hit the side of his head. So, who the hell shot my Mephisto? Like, sure, in a crazy moment like that, people’s brains get all scrambled and mess up what really happened. But seriously? Bodyguards letting someone wave a gun at their boss? Not exactly doing their job eh.

But yeah, now it clicks. The way Mephisto talks about Yukio—it’s like he’s some kid trying to figure himself out. Probably ‘cause, unlike his bro, he hasn’t wrapped his head around being Satan’s kid.

With how the episode ended, and the name of the next episode, it's pretty clear how this'll end. And I can't wait to see it unfold.

Mephisto sides with us human not because of his moral but because he find human nature interesting. Before being shotted, he can do both protecting us and observing us, but now he can only do one, of course he's gonna choose just observing us instead. He consider human worth watching but not worth protecting. What a demon! But at least he's neutral.

Rin will always be Rin, and Yukio will always be Yukio.... or not?

It really becomes a problem when I have zero sympathy for these characters; Rin and Yukio are being driven by their own childish behavior and Shiemi just cries about how she’s unable to lead them on

Is it just the brothers now? Or is negative energy spilling out all over planet & clouding people's judgement?
Mephisto saw Yukio's gun, but that bullet that hit him came from the audience? Kind of lax security of the Prime Minister!

@IzanaSolos Yukio just want to know how he born and about the parents. Mother and Satan. Because he's not like Rin(half demon that have power). Yukio seem like the mom.

@ajw215799 yeah. Also, Yukio's going around beating people up & pulling a gun on them, why tf are they covering for him?

It’s just one of those Shōnen things where when a character breaks bad, the rest of the main cast bend over backwards to try and bring them back. Yukio is in full control of his actions and he deserves what he’s got coming

Meh. Good for him. i hope he dies in the next episode or at the very least goes away for a long time so we can focus on the good characters.

Mephisto is attacked, and the barrier that was holding back the artificial Gehenna Gate has been deactivated.

Meanwhile, Rin rushes to Yukio's rescue; and here, my friends, is where the moment of betrayal arrives—the seed for Rin vs. Yukio is sown. 🔥

Dude I can't decide which episode is my favorite this season now LOL this was so good! That whole sequence starting with the Prim Minister's meeting was so cool to watch. Mephisto gets shot, he tries to walk it off but doesn't realize how weak he is from his time barrier, the barrier starts to come down as demons rush towards the gate, the paladin evacuates along with the camp, and the artificial gate spreads across the globe. The OST coming in too hand. Great episode!

Who shot Mephisto though? I'm certain it wasn't Yukio. I immediately thought it wasn't him because of where the bullet landed.

Also no way Amaimon was reading a script at the end lmao

And what happens now? One episode left...

It looks like Rin and everyone else are going to get Yukio out of prison, but then what? The order will be looking for them. The artificial gate has spread across the globe, but what exactly does that mean? Will demons be more powerful? It looks like people can see demons now, and just as the prime minister acknowledged their existence too. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes from here, and the next season starts just a few weeks from now too!

I can't believe I'm all caught up! lol I was so sure I wouldn't catch up in time before this season ends

There is one thing I don't understand. Yukio wanted to get powers too, and now that he got what may be the most powerful shit, he doesn't want it? lol

I still don't remember shit about who the fuck Amaimon is lmao

He was one of the bigger troublemakers back in S1, but yeah, it's crazy to think how far we've managed to get with the story, the events of the 16-ish canon episodes of S1 don't seem nearly as important nowadays.

Amaimon reading from the script is peak.

Penultimate episode, and the pace of events accelerates dramatically, leading us toward a rather grim future. This heart-wrenching season finale is set to forever alter the tone of the series, as well as the relationships between our protagonists. I had predicted that the episode would take us further, but it seems I was mistaken. Let us revisit the events in order.

Following a tense and somber Episode 10, the unresolved developments foreshadowed little optimism. Unfortunately, this episode maintains the foreboding atmosphere of its predecessor. Without delving too deeply into the plot, Voln has once again impressed us with splendid staging and a masterful use of colors and lighting to heighten the tension (notably in the confrontation between Yukio and Mephisto). The political undertones are also a welcome addition, adding depth to this already complex universe.

There is nothing more to add on the technical front. The music is simply breathtaking, and the voice actors are equally outstanding. Compared to the previous season, this one is far more polished across all aspects. My only regret is the lack of more dynamic animation during the demon invasion at the artificial Gehenna gate.

This season will be sorely missed after the final episode, which will likely introduce the most iconic scene from the manga featuring a certain character from the opening. However, I can find solace in the third and final season (I sincerely hope this anime will continue someday), scheduled for January 2025. Until then, let us fully savor this magnificent season finale. Let us all come together again with great anticipation for this fifth season, which will undoubtedly surpass these past two seasons.

Again Rin's wasted on this guy. He doesn't even think of him as brother. But Rin can't leave him alone cause he loves his brother unlike the piece of shit. Great acting from Amaimon btw. Also their world will be in chaos now.
