| Jiren is powering up. WTF! Jiren's on fire? Vegeta goes SSGSS. Goku goes SSGSS. Jiren sends 17 flying. 17 pushes Vegeta out the way. Dat stomach blast. Vegeta reverts back to normal. Ha!! Top. 17 appears behind Jiren ready to blast him. Dat blast. Jiren's back. He's been hurt. Vegeta goes SSGSS again. All 3 blasts. Jiren breaks through them. Vegeta, Goku, and 17 are down. Freeza attacks Jiren from behind. lol at Freeza having crazy eyes. Jiren knocks out Freeza. 17 fires at Jiren. Jiren backstory. Dat blast. Wasn't expecting 17 to blow himself. lol at Kid Jiren wearing a skully. He look like he into hip hop. |

| I love how no one cared about Freeza at the end there. #17 sacrifies himself and puts up shields on Goku and Vegeta? Freeza can deal with that by himself lol. All the benched people seem to have forgotten about him. Even the commentator at the end was only talking about "those two" against Jiren. |

He got beaten by Jiren endless times, randomly pulled out a new form then able to freely transform without apparent drawbacks, used his "finishing move" Final Flash twice, used "self destruct" that supposedly drained all his stamina. Then after all that, he was able to transform back to the new blue form immediately, then get beaten yet again by Jiren all within like 3 minutes. And yet, he is in better shape than Goku at the end of the episode. This pretty much says exactly what I’ve been thinking in regards to this entire final battle, and the rest of the tournament as a whole. No matter how cool the fights are and how entertaining it is, this is always in the back of my mind, what was even the point of this 48 minute battle royale if they just never get tired, only when it’s convenient for the plot they do like with 17’s sacrifice in this episode lol. And I was thinking MAYBE Frieza would give Vegeta energy to keep fighting so it would make a little sense, well they didn’t even do that lol. Oh well. But besides that bullshit, I’m glad this episode finally made this fight with Jiren interesting besides “guy that just takes hits and never shows signs of taking real damage”, his backstory is pretty generic but I guess when they only have like 3 minutes to tell it, it’s gonna be simple (forget about the timer and how they all stopped fighting just to hear it lol). I’ll take it tho, anything to add something to this impenetrable wall of a guy Jiren is, and then 17 even found a way to hurt him when he put a hole in his uniform, does it make much sense that 17 can hurt Jiren? No lol, but once again I’ll take anything I can get to make this a cooler fight. Unfortunately for 17 tho, he had to blow himself up for the two main characters to keep fighting, although I’m not sure if they’re doing much in that state lol. I noticed they didn’t cross 17 off on the godpad yet so there’s a chance he’s not gone, but still a great moment for 17, he’s without a doubt an MVP of this tournament, it’s great that he’s not only badass in GT, but also here in Super too. And lastly, nice effort from Frieza but you ain’t him chief lol, he’s just been continuously taking Ls since Top ruined his whole career, maybe he’ll be a clutch near the very end tho, he’s not out yet for a reason. And next episode already spoiled that Vegeta is out next, hopefully it’ll be better than his “sacrificial strike”. |
| Jiren's backstory was underwhelming; he's like everyone's first D&D character or something. That's sort of interesting actually, but we haven't seen him really do anything to make his usage of others feel meaningful. 17 was cool though! |
