By name-calling it, I pretty clearly expressed my negative opinion on the topic, so I think it conveyed it well. If I wanted to provide more detailed thoughts on it, I would've done so. I have been reading Dandadan manga for years at this point, but it's nothing really special, and the way it is being so highly praised is unjustifiable, IMO. I like the chaotic nature of many of the fights and the world, which showcases the author's creativity. The humor is many times too crude for me, but it manages to be funny sometimes. I like Okarun and Momo's relationship; it's built fairly well for a show that isn't even tagged romance. In regards to the adaptation so far... Science Saru did a great job, and the voice acting is great; it's quite self-evident, so nothing else has to be said. The earlier arcs of Dandadan were easily the weakest (although it's still fairly enjoyable) part, and where it picked up for me was around chapter 50. Overall, it's a solid 8.2, |
| Only 5 episodes have been released and I don't know the manga, but how is this series more refreshing? it has all the motifs already known from shounen. A possessed MC who gains powers thanks to this, a friend who also has powers, some sexy but old character, ghosts and monsters. Mc, of course, is a loner and weird, so finding friends is important to him, etc. I've read many comments about how crazy this anime is, etc., but there's nothing crazy here, apart from the attempted rape in the first episode. it's weird and chaotic but every other anime is like that now. Maybe after watching Gintama, scenes like stealing balls etc. don't shock me because I've already seen it XD |

| Im surprised people aren't saying its not a shonen, usually when anime comes out and elitists like it, they pretend its a different demographic, usually seinen. People recently did that for Frieren for example. |
| I don't know, for me they all correspond to the standard formula in a varying degree. Just adding much larger doses of 20's and 10's "modern culture" instead of some 00's in Naruto, as well as trying to be more in line with modern trends like edgy and guro fashion. |

| i prefer csm and think it has higher rewatchability, considering the fact that i've already rewatched it like 4 times since it came out in 2022. i'd rather reread dandadan than rewatch because i prefer the manga for that. |
