| SEEING MORE RICKERT V SILAT IS WHAT I LIIIIVE FOR! We got some horrific grotesque imagery of the rape trolls, some quick Serpico kino, and a glimpse of Guts possibly coming back into the fray, hopefully to back on his shit, out of that ship, and into some required apostle ass kicking! That last piece with Silat and Rakshas lunging at each other was raw as fuck! |

| This chapter felt weird. I appreciate good-looking art and crazy things that have started happening with Rakshas' entrance, but at the same time the direction and pacing felt off. Too chaotic. Not because of chaos taking place in the Kushan capital city, but the way it was portrayed. Rushed in some places, but sluggish in another ones in a way that it hardly could be called as "a moment to catch breath". Going back to Rakshas, woah. He was capable of opening the gate to Qliphoth. Aa Daiba has noticed, it is not something a regular apostle is capable of. Let's not forget that Qliphoth is Slan's domain. Perhaps she decided to aid Femto aka Griffith? Who knows. Heh, another break, as expected. Well, hopefully it won't be a hiatus lasting for many months, but who am I trying to fool? We are talking about Berserk, after all. xD Guts mopping over "muh sword" at the end of a chapter might become the Boat arc's successor in terms of symbolizing long and frequent hiatus. |

| Rakshas' new design is dope, reminds me a lot of Mergo's Wet Nurse from Bloodborne. I'm wondering what the source of his power is, people on here are saying a godhand member which would be pretty hype. Either way, I hope we get to see the side cast shine while Guts takes his nap. |

| Have to be honest, not a fan of this chapter. Too many panels were hard to follow and in the end nothing changed from last chapter. Trolls are here now but so what. |

| We are finally in the endgame it appears after almost 3.5 decades of publication however this final arc and takedown of Griffith will likely take another 4 years meaning the Manga will end in 2029 which is a perfect ending in my opinion a 40 year long comic epic. |

Saying guts mopping over muh sword is a huge oversimplification lol
| @24846 It is, and it's also something that sounds kind of provocative, but it was meant to sound like that. I believe there is no need to sugarcoat a particular aspect of a story arc that simply does not deserve it. I'm disappointed that a story element (utterly defeated, depressed Guts) that was initially portrayed so well, in a grounded and realistic way, has devolved into something frustrating, even bordering on the unintentionally humorous (which is definitely not positive, given the context of that scene), akin to the infamous so-called "Boat arc". As of now it's just less spectacular and significantly shorter than said Boat arc, but the essence is still there (hiatus after hiatus, a repetitive element chosen as a way to drag out the plot perhaps for longer than it's necessary). I'd love to be proven wrong in the future and see those moments turning into actually a good build-up, but to be honest, something is telling me that there won't be any meaningful payoff. I feel that the story will just have one or more moments like the one we are talking about, and that's it. The plot's gonna continue. After all, as they eventually went ashore and left the boat, here Guts might just "get a grip" at some point and rush to the battle or something. (apologies for the late reply; I read your post long ago, but I forgot to reply and remembered about it after I visited this thread for the first time in many weeks, lol) |
