| First episode is streamed earlier on FOD today. Chroma actually have my attention the most in this anime due to his charisma and personality. Berry and Chizuko also seems like fun characters to have around too although they need more time to flesh out their personalities. Animation looks so-so but I don't think that's important. The whole magical girl theme stuff have been done alot before but this one has a cartoony humor to it. |

| Funny start. Comedy of the season candidate for me. Chizuko reactions are amusing. This is like a non-lewd version of Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete. Chizuko x Berry Blossom would make a cute yuri couple for sure. :3 The eyes of the characters look pretty unique. I like them. |

| Mangaka Yone Sawata and her lone completed series produced by a brand-new studio, in a world that mixes the real world with fantasy and Mahou Shoujos...well... The Niigata girl of Chizuko Date is as normal as she comes, taken care of by her grandfather since her mother's out for work stuff, but it's only when she witnesses brown bears, something feels off, but there's nothing to be worried about since she's staying at his place for the short time. Even her grandfather needs to tend to work stuff, leaving Chizuko all alone. The same brown bears and a talking cat of Mashrou that belonged to a girl, it just seemed like normal for Chizuko, but witnessing the battle of good and evil of an evildoer vs. the same girl that she coincidentally met, Chizuko's seen the light...to be obsessed about Mahou Shoujos. The constant Kaijin alerts has Chizuko racing to the scene of evil, and more because of her literally gushing over Berry Blossom dealing her justice against Fossa Magna's leader Chroma...who found her criticizing his evil, because his attempts were lame at best. But too bad, Chroma has Chizuko in the palm of his hands trying to deceive a hardcore fan, or rather, found a comrade to exact his evil plans in the evil organization. And as much of a nightbare Chizuko wants to believe...it's not, because as much as Berry Blossom's merch are around, so too is Chroma working in the real world as well. KanoeRana's ED is quite playful. Is this the toned-down family-friendly version of Winter's Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete a.k.a Gushing Over Magical Girls? Sure looks and feels so...but will it stand the test of time? |

| Forgot this show was even on my list, Based of first episode vibes I can tell I'm gonna love this, Chizuko seems a lot like Utena if she was a bit younger and not a Sadist. Chroma also seems like a vibe. Weirdly kinda gave me team rocket vibes of him. Very strong first episode. |

| This was such a cute silly episode, I was already a big fan of the unusual pupils and the show is so charming, I'm glad the grandpa is going to be part of the show because he was super sweet, I love this show already. |

| Well, Gushing over Magical Girls is still relatively fresh in my mind and that show was peak, so I'll be (sub)consciously comparing the two, whether I want to or not. Mixed bag with the comedy, some laughs, then you had the "blurting out your own name" cheesy dialogue scene, one of the unfunniest scenes in a long time. We'll see. |

| Now thats an interesting way to advertise the studio. What a sight to bump into as you start your one week stay though. Chizuko though sure is rather tactum. But relocation families always have it tough. Running into a battle while exploring gotta be a new exp though. Can't beat that as inspiration for becoming a super fan i guess. For a villain Chroma's pretty limpy. But that was a curious way of recruiting new talent. Man this town is just of surprises thats for sure. Overall a fun opening ep that featured a great balance of character intros and comedy while leveraging the magical girl angle. |

Holy fk twice I lol'd really hard, from the umbrella scene and her just blurting her name out. XD I like this more than the other since no ecchi and just more hilarity, def going to follow this.

| A very nice and cute start to this anime. The characters seem lovable, I find them to be endearing and quite funny to watch. The comedy was also quite nice and I also really like the overall concept. That first episode felt like a good mix between the more "naive and cute" magical girl show and the one that delves more into meta stuff to parody the genre. This first episode looked quite good, I just hope it will not be a "first episode syndrome" with the rest of the anime looking extremely plain. I wonder what will be the importance of the blue hair girl with her butler that we saw in the background in the mall. I also really enjoyed the musics during that first episode. |
| 5/5, but barely. Seems like a really fun and light-hearted anime. I don't understand or fanaticism, but I generally don't understand fans typically. So silly, so the other kids hate having to miss-out on stuff because of those two. MC loves those two. Those two CAN cause a lot of destruction as we saw when she fell for them. |

| There are many magical girl shows this season but this one has a nice charm. I like the idea of her helping the villain out since he's just a theater act with three bear bodyguards. |

| ROFL The mahou shoujo causes like 90% of the damage while all the evil dude did was stand there and take the hit. . And the evil dude's idea of "evil"... is pretty much "petty pranks"... (and he's a M... he loved getting hit by the mahou shoujo...) What the fuck is this evil dude? . BTW... these Bears... are kinda cute... they're also fairly innocent and nice, they don't go on a rampage or anything. |

| Animation is OK I guess. As for the show, it seems fun. Both the "villain" and Magical Girl seem like idiots who cause more harm than good lol. I'm talking about that totally unnecessary destruction of the bridge. But people don't seem to care because of merchandise and marketing lol? (although some people do get pissed since they can't go outside due to the shenanigans of a villain who's so weak he got smacked by an average lil girl lol). |
