They cut a lot of the fluff from the LN, and I think that was a good call, much more to the point and less meandering. I'm going to go on a limb and say that episode 10 will cover the Tsuwubaki Fest in its entirety and 11 and 12 will finish off Volume 3.
@Fiorno is the 3rd volume bigger than other ones first two took 4/3 episodes this is taking 5. I thought next episode will probably end 3rd volume with cultural festival and last episode will go to 4th one. |

@WaterMage Volume Three has 4 main chapters like the first two volumes. This episode in particular covers Chapter 2 from start to finish. Chapter 3 covers the festival in its entirety, literally from the beginning to the closing of the festival, but there's a bit more after it in the same chapter that I believe can be adapted as the end of episode 10 or the start of episode 11. |
I have read 2 perfect chapters of manga; They are Usogui Chapter 203 and Onani Master Kurosawa Chapter 23. |

@WaterMage It's impossible that they'll adapt the entire volume 3 in the next ep lmao, it's not just the festival that's going to happen so there's still a lot of stuff |

*rolls eyes* It's always disappointing (for me) when a great show does garbage fanservice. Just ranting to myself here. I can't help but drop overall score of the show unless something truly exceptional happens later and forces me to give that a pass. To me such fanservice = show disrespecting itself. Fanservice is like salt. It can be good/passable in low quantities, but ruins the dish when there's too much of it. Girl stumbles on stairs and falls on a guy, burying his face with her (usually big) boobas. Seriously? Such BS cliché scene for the sake of cheap fanservice? Just because MC narration "breaks the 4th wall" doesn't make it better. Ok, I'd close my eyes on it, but the show keeps poring more salt! Like how she has sexy costume later on, or how Lemon is naked under the bandages. Airhead girls exist, but they're not that oblivious and retarded in real life. Sure, this is fiction, but the show's been handling teen drama pretty well so far. Why keep adding unrealistic BS fanservice and basically doing what any average boring anime would do? (like when Lemon became retarded due to heat, strips, again falls on MC, then gets amnesia...). The show is already great without fanservice. Are you really that desperate for more views? Have some self respect show... And what's with always-horny nurse (btw typical nurse with big boobas)??? Is she supposed to be funny? Spying on kids with listening devices, hoping she catches kids in the act so she can record it? To use it to fap material later or something??? Who thought this degenerate pedophile BS was necessary to include in this show? It's creepy and disturbing. You could argue it was funny the first time, but third, forth, fifth time??? She shouldn't be allowed anywhere near kids. Like, imagine you're (a boy) talking to a girl in an empty classroom about ordinary stuff and then you spot one of the teachers secretly filming you two. What the actual F?! |

Another great episode with some silly, funny, and even wholesome moments. Nukumizu using 8k vs 4k comparison was harsh but hilarious and Anna didn't have a clue haha. It's too bad that Komari overworked and overexerted herself but Nukumizu and the rest of the literature club members came through so hopefully she'll put more trust in them in the future. Gotta give props to Nukumizo's sister for making those excellent looking snacks and heck even Anna deserves some praise with her sharing her food although she ate what Nukumizu left out in the open (he needs to learn to not leave food next to Anna like that lol). Speaking of Anna, I sense a bit of potential romantic buildup with Nukumizu as she brushed off that guy that supposedly likes her and was amused that Nukumizu might be jealous, hopefully she's not just playing with him though. |

This anime needs to have a second cour/season soon! The MC is actually a very mature and supportive friend, he is his own character, not a walking cliche dull trope. It's refreshing to see a show about friendship too, maybe he will end up with the 4K television, better known as Anna, but the main pleasure of this show is exactly it's premisse of not needing to rush things for a romantic plot. I know, everyone will ship the MC with someone of the main cast, but still, from his perspective, he is truly just a friend that's going to help without expectations. Like, a decent human being. I know, a true outline from the anime clichê. Remember, friendship is important and has its own meaning, don't just seek relationships for the sake of it. And one last thing: Someone call the police for that nurse, she is recording adolescent's intimacy, she DANGEROUS, lol. |

goddamn lucky mf nukumizu got a face full of that chick, love when the fanservice fanservices, even with lemon's wild outfit. nukumizu calling yanami 4K was jokes though. i like how the komari plotline hasn't been thrown away just because he resolved his feelings with koto, the one-sidedness continues. komari's lil sis was an adorable creature fr. the end with nukumizu and yanami was nice, i really thought he was going for it though lmao. |

@Sigmar-Unberogen You're severely overthinking it. "Nooo, why does this piece of Japanese popular media, well-known across the world for including fan service, has fan service? This is unacceptable!" "Nooo, why does that fictional character in a fictional piece of media meant to be a comedy in which practically every character is a weirdo do weird things like that? They shouldn't allow that character to do those things, that fictional character wouldn't be able to do it in the real world!" "Nooo, why are the characters written to be stupid and airheaded for the sole purpose of comedy are so stupid and airheaded?!" Also, is it the first time you notice the fan service? It's literally not new, there was fan service already in the first fucking episode. You're complaining over basically 80% of all anime. I don't necessarily like this stuff, but I don't mind it either; if you've got a problem with it, then perhaps you should go watch some run-of-the-mill Netflix show instead of anime lol. |

as always a great episode, Nukumizu gets the cliché moment where Hamemiya's chest falls onto Nukkun's face, So Nukkun says that Hamemiya is 8K and Anna is 4K and on second thought, there is some truth to that, thanks to Hamemiya's amazing fanservice. Lemon is not ashamed of her outfit is a very Lemon thing, Corpse Anna uh I mean Ghost Anna cosplay is very cute not scary at all, hmm I wonder who that yellow haired guy is hmm... Komari wanted to show her senpai that she could do all this without the help of her senpai but Komari pushed herself too hard which made herself tired and fainted. Komari fainted and was helped by Nukkun and Konuki-sensei, finally able to see Komari's rugrats, younger brother seemed to be happy with Nukkun who became her brother's friend, Hina was so cute aww she looked so much like Komari that she even liked to imitate her brother's hair, I agree Nukkun "what kind of cute creature is she". Nukkun got the help of her friends to help with the festival preparations and let Komari rest for a while, Kaju also appeared at the festival preparations, she made all the food that will be distributed at the festival and made food for Nukkun's friends, what a sister best sister of the year fr. Anna talked about Komari venting her feelings to read books, Lemon ran, and I'm sure Anna's venting was owing Nukkun and eating a lot lmao, Konuki sensei is so weird lol. curious what will happen at the festival next episode. |

This show is VERY aware of the common romance tropes and calling them out which make the dynamics unique. A lot of character building going on all at once this episode and done well. Btw what is going on with this nurse? I need more answers! |

Komari va does such a good job, I'm really enjoying the character even more thanks to her. Komari dynamic with Nukumizu kinda gives me siblings vibes ngl. Speaking of siblings, hers was so cute.
Looking forward to the festival itself!

I love Komari's character arc most out of them all honestly, the anime makes you wanna root for her. I'm loving it. Yaname sounds as the ghost were great too. Nukumizu u lucky boi got a taste of those 8Ks Komari trying to do everything herself because she feels like she needs to survive alone without relying on others, I feel her so much. But never forget that you will always have your friends to be there behind and support you. I love how Ayano and Chihaya has already become part of the gang too and Kaju being there personally to help out was so so sweet. Also I really like how MakeIne addresses/resolve potential drama/issues quickly and not make a long time of misunderstandings, Kazuhiko and Anna talking about that one Shinsengumi guy. (tho I do wonder if he'll become a problem in the future). And lastly Sensei just really trying to force everyone to do the thing huh, and its always funny to see her staring at the ceiling haha. |

@Sigmar-Unberogen this is what parody means you can't parody something without actually showing and diconstruct it. Nukumizu saying "like LN" and for Lemon revealing she weren't doing anything without getting horny is making fun of entire situation. If a one random fan-service here there in a comedy anime is annoying you this much idk if this show is for you, because they will (I think) keep doing it. |

ImNotAnOtaku1 said: You're severely overthinking it. "Nooo, why does this piece of Japanese popular media, well-known across the world for including fan service, has fan service? This is unacceptable!" Oh the irony! First sentence and you're way overthinking it already. For starters, I stated that I'm ranting. Then, I clearly state that I'm not complaining about the existence of fanservice, which as you say is basically 80%+ anime. My complaint was about abundance of fanservice and quality of it. I also stated why I think that's bad IN MY OPINION, you don't have to agree. I'll repeat myself and state again that IMO cheap fanservice devalues the show. It's a self-humiliating tactic used to garner more views. Now, I know this tactic is used because it works! But that doesn't mean I support it, because a show I considered to be 10/10 can no longer be 10/10 because it humiliated itself and became part of the 80%+ average anime. When it comes to comedy, sure, we can argue that comedy is subjective. Doesn't the nurse scene cross the line though? Like, hahaha a pedophile teacher is spying on kids in hopes she catches them kissing or more on camera? She's literally trying to get some spycam CP at this point. Again, I'll repeat myself and say, "a bit of salt can make a dish taste better, too much salt can make it inedible". ImNotAnOtaku1 said: This is a dumb suggestion to be honest. Perhaps you now understand why. I'm ranting because a good show is in my opinion humiliating itself by resorting to cheap garbage fanservice which is making it worse overall. I'm not complaining about anime in general being shit due to existence of fanservice. I'm stating why I'm disappointed with this particular show.if you've got a problem with it, then perhaps you should go watch some run-of-the-mill Netflix show instead of anime lol. |

@WaterMage Parody made more sense in comedy like "100 girlfriends". Overuse of Parody/cheap fanservice feels more out of place here for me, hence the rant. I stated clearly that my complaint isn't about the existence of fanservice but the abundance of it. Too much of something is not always good. I explicitly used Nurse-scene to emphasize how comedy stops being comedy. Are you going to claim that's a parody too? |

@Sigmar-Unberogen is it really that much there was the Lemon one in 2nd episode, Shikiya thing last episode and then this one. There was something here there but it wasn't even disrupting anything, if someone REALLY hates fan-service that much maybe then. Kounuki sensei is supposed to be a weirdo that's why everyone keeps her distance from her. She also appears after 6-7 episodes, it's annoying and wierd and it is criminal behaviour yes but it's funny too. This show doesn't take itself seriously if you take this very seriously to the point this things make you not enjoy anymore idk. Because of her antics it give a good scene with Nukumizu and Yanami so I ain't complaining. |

WaterMage said: This show doesn't take itself seriously if you take this very seriously to the point this things make you not enjoy anymore idk. I'd argue against the show not taking itself too seriously. Unlike "100 girlfriends" (for instance) which is a dumb comedy/parody, this show takes itself pretty seriously when it comes to depiction of teen drama for instance. The show left a very good impression with the first episode so you should understand why I'd feel disappointed. I assumed it was special. Even now I think the show is pretty good, I wish it was better. That's all to it. Lemon, for example, is a pretty realistic teen girl, but then we have her doing totally unrealistic BS like not even wearing panties in class while bandaged, or going braindead due to heat and stripping. All of this is done purely because the show wanted to have fanservice moment - the end. That's what's disappointing IMO. You can have comedy without such BS. Now, singular moments I can give a pass despite having allergic reactions, but when it keeps reoccurring and compiling it gets annoying and frustrating, for me at least. (mostly because, as I stated, I consider fanservice to be "sacrifice quality for views" move). That aside, take the nurse for instance, again: Nurse talks about her sex life with kids - "hahaha what a weirdo" Nurse spies on kids with listening devices - haha? *concerned laughter*. Nurse talks about her sex life again (wanted to) - hah... (students reaction to her made it somewhat funny) Nurse using freaking camera to spy on kids - *laughter stops*. See my point? It stops being funny when her weirdness gets repeated and gets worse. What makes it worse is that in previous instances you could argue she was trolling kids or was listening secretly to stop "mischievous" students before they'd do the deed or something. This time she clearly intends to secretly record two students kissing or more, after apparently stalking them. It's no longer possible to argue she has noble motives here. Is her pedophilic behavior supposed to be funny? Because she's a woman or something? Dunno, I think they went too far with "comedy" in this. Less we see the Nurse in this show, the better. |

@Sigmar-Unberogen I see your point and understand your grievance. For me atleast some fan-service here and there's doesn't really sully the show or cheapnes. But again it varies with people. Show takes itself seriously but to the core it still kinda parodying run of the mill romcoms. Lemon I think has self-awareness problem she is doing it way too many times to just label as an excuse for this moments. Konuki as I said is completely criminal degenerate behaviour. But still she's a very minor part. If you like it you like it. If you find very distracting then it is what it is. I am neutral I do think it's going a bit to far, but as I said it's once here there and it does get laughter out of me(my standards are low) |

Nukumizu had me laughing a lot in describing a "LN Moment" when Himemiya came tumbling down the stairs and crashed into him. Same goes with his 4k and 8k analogy. In my eyes, I don't see Anna as 4k, but no matter. As before, this episode makes me like Komari more and more. She did push herself too hard in trying to do a lot of things by herself with minimal rest with the festival coming up and that led to her collapse. Her talk with Nukumizu back at her home was heartwarming and it also showed how much Nukumizu wanted to help her. Thankfully, the same could be said for everyone else of the literature club along with his other friends as they all worked together to make their exhibit look rather stunning. Special mention goes to the school nurse, Kounki. This devious lady tried to tell her past experiences before Nukumizu flatly refused, but she was ballsy enough to spy on Nukumizu and Anna talking alone in the exhibit room together. Overall, this episode had its funny moments, but it was mostly wholesome and heartwarming which made me happy. I do hope the festival is a resounding success for the club, especially for Komari, as she deserves so much happiness right now. =) |

Seeing Komari-chan like that made me feel bad. Her feelings towards Tamaki-senpai are still there, even if she tries to hide them in her writings or making others thinking that those disappeared. Komari-chan would be a great next president for the literature club, but she would need a lot of help and training from other club members. But it’s ok, everyone supports her and want to feel like she is completely integrated. The action, interaction and characters are amazing, no wonder why this anime is so appreciated! |

"Tuna and mayo is the pinnacle of human wisdom." I felt that, so true. Anna supposedly doesn't care about Nukumizu falling in love with her, yet she treats him like this, I bet deep inside she is becoming crazy for him ❤️ Komari is so fucking cute, I like her more than Lemon honestly, she is a great girl, at first I didn't cared about her that much, because of her character type, but yeah, if they wanted to convince us to like her, they absolutely succeeded. |
Sorry if my english is bad (っ˘▽˘)っ~~~ Btw, cry about it. |

That aside, take the nurse for instance, again:
Nurse talks about her sex life with kids - "hahaha what a weirdo"
Nurse spies on kids with listening devices - haha? *concerned laughter*.
Nurse talks about her sex life again (wanted to) - hah... (students reaction to her made it somewhat funny)
Nurse using freaking camera to spy on kids - *laughter stops*.
@Sigmar-Unberogen I suggest you to drop this show. Really. You can't enjoy the joke. And I see you often complain about fanservice even in other series. Even in a series that doesn't emphasize fanservice like this show, you still complain. So you better avoid all shows that contain fanservice. For your own good. "You don't want to know their character. You want their character to be the way you want it to be." |

I complain because I have my reasons. If you've actually read my comment, you'd know I've stated that I think the show is still really good. It just isn't IN MY OPINION 10/10 any longer thanks to IMO totally unnecessary and cheap fanservice. I even stated why I think it stopped being funny. I'll repeat myself yet again, my OC is ranting and is just my opinion. You don't need to agree! |

@Sigmar-Unberogen I neither disagree nor agree. I'm just making a suggestion, and pointing out a few facts about your replay. Well, in the end it's up to you. Again, I'm just giving suggestion. Cuz when I don't like a show, never mind watching it, I don't even want to comment on it. So that's why, when I see you dont like fanservice, I suggest you not to watch all fanservice shows. |

I am neutral I do think it's going a bit to far, but as I said it's once here there and it does get laughter out of me(my standards are low)

@WaterMage And I see your point too and have nothing against it. People have different tastes and opinions, that goes without saying. You do you. Enjoy whatever. I'm just glad we agree on the nurse scene going (a bit) too far though. I simply expressed my disappointment with a rant in my original comment. That's all. Again, if this was "run of the mill" show, I would likely not care, but this isn't such show. I wish it was better, someone will say it's already better. Again, everyone to themselves. |

While the episode is great, this pacing will bring potential trouble in second season, where it will be hard to find a stopping point in S2… |
