| A sweet and emotional closure for Lemon feelings at last. That ending though, I really thought for a moment that Anna was going to ask the mc to be her pretend boyfriend, but nope that's Anna and her ideas are really strange and definitely not romantic haha. |

| Yep, Lemon is still far and away my favorite. Good guy Nuku was able to be there for her to finally admit her feelings at the shrine. Letting it all out will make you feel a lot better. Not only was Lemon able to connect with Chihaya, she and Mitsuki were able to get their feelings off their chest. This was what I was most curious about, to see if it would continue the trend of the girl losing. When I saw that they were alone back at their old elementary school, I was thinking there would be some dramatic confession. Instead they simply came clean about their feelings. A pretty mature way to settle things. No giant emotional outbursts or "what about me" speeches. As for other aspects, I'm kind of glad Chihaya has a bit of a backbone. I was afraid she would just quit when the going got tough with Mitsuki. I'm also really happy that a girl as good as Lemon didn't get with the walking saltine that is Mitsuki. That guy has zero personality or charm. I found it funny, and somewhat odd, that Nuku mistakenly wore Lemon's t-shirt. I can't tell if this was trying to imply some kind of future development/relationship or not. Another great episode. Not really sure what the deal was with Anna at the end, but her nonsense is starting to get on my nerves. She continues to prove to me that Lemon is best girl. |
| To think, I actually almost passed over this anime, but when I was bored one day, I decided to just watch a couple episodes. And now this has been a fun anime to watch. One of my favorites this season. I am glad I decided to give it a try. |

| @tywhoppity The only thing I found was this. According to the caption under the painting, "Sparks were considered omens of good fortune, so it was customary when a beauty left for an assignment to send her off with a few sparks for luck." Did Kaju think Nuku was a geisha? 🤣 |

| This was one of my least favorite episodes as its obvious that Lemon cannot let go and that hand holding and another confession at the end did not look good. Nukumizu did not do her any favors by having Ayano walk her home but at this point I'm sure he's done being in the middle between them (or at least I hope he is). Regarding Anna, I just knew that she was going to use Nukumizu to find someone else as a "substitute boyfriend" but hearing her ask for Ayano has to be a joke, right?? Maybe she's "testing" Nukumizu to see his reaction but if not, wth is she thinking. On a separate note, I had to pause this scene as I got a kick out of the manga's names (kudos for the English name translations), and a couple of them sound interesting in a trashy sort of way haha.  |

| peak easter eggs with fujimoto's works like chainsaw man, sayonara eri, look back and even his one-shot collections, damn whoever added that really cooked. good lemon and ayano got their talk but i'm not sure how to feel about the hand holding lol. asagumo was great though. only wish the night scene with nukumizu and yanami at the start last longer, seemed like it was shaping up to be the best part. rip at the end though lol. |

| Lemon-chan looked confused but she eventually decided to mend her relationship with Ayano and I'm glad to see Lemon and Asagumo getting along well. Kaju got some more screentime in this episode although a little but it's nice to see her smile. Anna will never change it seems, how could this girl want to borrow someone's boyfriend for her personal use lmao, poor Nukkun  |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Probably the best conversation that Anna has had with Nukumizu there at the beginning of the episode. Finally. Everyone always says they love how they interact, but I've actually usually been really annoyed by it. I'm glad this one felt a lot more equal, understanding, and kinda even effortless. Also, good on Anna for not getting defensive when Nukumizu said he didn't want anyone talking behind anyone's backs. Just a good conversation overall. |

| Anna giving her take on the love triangle between Mitsuki, Chihaya and Lemon, and Nukumizu being considerate of the feelings already on display, at least she can offer her advice being a close friend, but that will betray her feelings if she thinks otherwise. Indeed, him finding Lemon at a hidden spot where she practices her runs to have a pep talk, she still thinks about him, but the more she thinks about the relaitonship, the more she becomes severely depressed about it, and talking to the both of them will help to clear the air about their thoughts of the convoluted love triangle. Indeed, the attachment between each other goes back to their childhood days, even the park where they always met and had fun together, despite their circumstances that brought them to this day, depending on each other without knowing the affection that Mitsuki's into Lemon, but only knows that feeling once he started dating Chihaya, even towards their future. Even Mitsuki acknowledging Nukumizu being the friends of Losing Heroines, he embraces the couple time for the relevant couple right till the end, even to their significant pinkie hand-holding scene. It's a wrap for Lemon's Losing Heroine story, though Chihaya using GPS to stalk Lemon and the rest, that's wild lols. But Anna trying to find a substitute boyfriend...within Mitsuki, that's so twisted lols, she be giving us a heartscare. Volume 2 is done, and it's the chibi Komari's turn to shine! |

Well, he did not say "Tsuki ga kirei, desu ne?", which is the typical saying/wording of it, but it is at least teased there, especially with the whole show being a callout on (anime) tropes, so maybe? |

| I like how this isnt your usual do the morally right thing to do and went with comments like Anna telling Nukumizu that if she were talking to Lemon she’d tell her to go steal that man and with Ayano basically light but still cheated on bootleg Takagi when bro decided to hold hands with Lemon. Also Nukumizu could have literally said any excuse to take a walk but decided to use the “the moon is beautiful tonight” which basically means “I love you” in japanese lol, I guess bro was trying to bait and switch Anna into thinking that but ended being the one getting played in the end when Anna pulled the “can I borrow Ayano”, Nukumizu’s face in the end was priceless tho, he looked like he got enlightened that this bitch aint the one for him lol. |

| Looks like Lemon's arc was resolved with less drama than I thought there would be, but that in itself isn't a bad thing at all. Going by their talk to each other, Lemon and Mitsuki did have feelings for each other, but the timing was never right for either of them to make that move. Despite that, it's nice to see them still get along and that Lemon is fully supporting Mitsuki and Chihaya's relationship. Same with Lemon and Chihaya getting along much better than before, too. It might've been hard for her, but I'm proud of Lemon for confronting this issue and being at peace with it. Now she can truly move on. =) Anna continues to be amusing with her teasing and trolling, especially towards Nukumizu at the end of the episode. I do feel bad for Nukumizu here! |
| Lemon smoothed things out with everyone, but it wasn't easy for her... Volume 2 concluded with the arc for Lemon coming to a close, and it was a painful acceptance for her, but at the very least, she talked things out with both Mitsuki and Chihaya, and now it seems they are getting along. Lemon's VA did a great job bringing her emotions out, and even though she ends up being a losing heroine, she also won in the fact that she can remain friends with Mitsuki, while getting along with Chihaya. This episode definitely took a step back from the comedy, but it was still very much there, but well executed so that it didn't take away from the drama. The one thing to really take away from this arc would be the importance of clear communication, and while Lemon might have lost because she didn't communicate, life can move on because she did communicate in the end. I wonder what we'll see next in this story, maybe an arc for Komari? |
| Chika's loss was different from Anna's and Lemon's. Anna and Lemon both had a clear path to their romance if they had not vacillated and confessed their love earlier; both having opportunity to do so before the rival met the boy. Chick was always the underdog, with the boy having little feeling for her and lot for the longtime girl, with just the narrowest chance for Chika presented by Shintarou's incredibly poor communication of his feeling to Koto, and Koto's non communication of her feeling (and these two are the supposed masters in the literature club?). She was an unexpectedly brave girl who knew she only had a small chance, and tried anyway. There is a very delightful progression in her opening up gradually afterwards, maybe because of the courage she had to summon to confess, and weight of not knowing removed from her. Anyway, the lesson being pounded into the audience from nearly all the dramas herein is: Man/woman up and tell them how you feel, dumbshit. |
