Big yikes. Heard this was bad, but didn't expect this.
Was hoping for a visual feast at least, but even that was pretty mid.

Yukina was the best thing about this. Wish she was the focus. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

4/10, Biba and his motivations were a joke.

I was expecting this moment to turn Ikoma's core into one of those stones that he found with his sister, maybe give some real meaning to those stones idk

Ayame was wonderful this episode. After opening the city's population to slaughter, she helped a few dozen people and help "free their minds and hearts"

Due to helping those dozens of people, she is now fully free from any responsibility for the hundreds of thousands of deaths in the city.

If only there were a few more of Ayame, then humanity would have found eternal peace through the magic of mathematics

Munmei was such a poor thing this episode. Due to being such a poor thing, she is now absolved of her role in smashing up everything this episode and opening the gates to the last fortress. Such a poor thing!

As she strives to make some rice paddies as her dream, i'm not sure there are enough other fortresses left for her dream to come true as fortresses just seem to end up ruins when she visits. No fortresses = no people = have to make some rice paddies in open land.

Ikoma showed how great he was when he actually used his gun and killed off the weakling subordinates. This showed that he was actually aiming for Takumi to die when he did nothing during the train scene despite there being only a bunch of extras in front of him. Why? Because jealousy, as Takumi was so much more handsome than him!

Seeing the Kotestsujyo moving off as Ayame commands, one can only imagine the fate of the next area they visit. As the blessed vehicle of Ayame, Munmei and Ikoma, their destinations only only receive eternal peace and grand excitement of explosions and collapsing cliffs

The rushed ending made me laugh. "Sure we got thousands of innocent people killed, but as long as we're together right? Let's all smile and laugh and never think about or mention that again. The End."

Eh, wasn't a fan. An average zombie flick and a shitty revenge story, a lot of style, the substance and exposition is discarded. Plus I refuse to believe that the masses act THAT moronic all the time. 5/10.

Well was enjoyable. For sure not like AOT quality but its a good watch. Also we have the happy ending so that's even more better

Alright ending, can't complain.

Series overall was pretty good, like Snowpiercer with zombies. (I haven't seen AOT so I can't compare). The forced overly dramatic moments and annoying characters dragged it down for me though.

Man, this show fell off hard toward the end. Confusing motivations, tons of plot holes, and characters who learn absolutely nothing and forgive each other for doing horrible things at the drop of a hat. Pretty much the only character I liked by the end was Kurusu.

There are limits to how low you can go with a show, and needless to say we crossed those very limits with this show, long ago.

The usual happened, dude came back, fought the main villain.. defeated him and brought his girl back to life, which kind of made him a dead person for a brief moment, but yeah he came back to life.. I mean he's the protag so yeah. And we had a super happy ending. That concludes this episode.

This show as a whole tried to took inspirations from god knows how many shows but failed spectacularly in execution.. can't even get it done a single aspect in the end which is hilarious. They never explained the origins of Kabane too lol, which were supposed to be the main antagonistic forces of this series. But okay that isn't the only thing they didn't.

Nothing stands out apart from the music and animation. Not going to bother myself with the movie.
3/10.

Bummer that we probably won't get season 2. Such an impressive anime from start to finish and I wish there were more.

So Biba has appeared to be just a maniac. Intelligent, cunning and charismatic, but still destructive maniac whose only objective was to stir up chaos and begin an age of even more nihilistic world. As if the kabane threat was not enough.

Yay, not only Mumei was brought back, but Biba showed at least a little bit of sanity and injected the white blood into Ikoma's body before it was too late.

I really had a lot of fun watching this show. A solid shounen with beautiful visuals and music and unique concept, resulting in it having a fresh take on the zombie genre.

Have to admit that this anime was much better before Biba was introduced, as the story and characters quickly became less dynamic afterwards, mostly falling in line with the very conventional narrative layout from then on. That said, it's still pretty good, as the first half was excellent, and I can't fault the battles or music.

Just wish it stayed as a tense story about people struggling to survive amongst the hordes of Kabane, as that was where this anime shined, and because the human agendas that were introduced later were shallow and uninteresting in comparison.

This anime was a train wreck. IIRC, the only character who had correct motivations was the girl who got pissed at Mumei for speaking ill of the kid's dead dog, and then this episode for slapping that bad guy asking to join the train to escape. There should have been no reason to save Mumei after she betrayed everybody a few episodes back, and got an entire station killed by letting in the zombies, manipulated to do so, or not. There's even less reason now with her becoming a smoke monster and killing who knows how many more people.

In the earlier episodes I was able to laugh at the show's stupidity, but these last few episodes I couldn't even do that with how bad it got. I feel very little other than contempt for the clusterfuck it became. Mumei was by far the worse aspect of this anime, which was surprising because I thought it was going to be the ever annoying Ikoma, but he can be okay sometimes when he's got nothing to complain about.

Looks like Biba was the coward all along.
Biba he actually saved one life at the Least and that one is Ikoma.
Biba was the Mastermind of his own death.
Miss Ayame she still doesn't realize how Kurusu feels about her lol 😂, I'm rooting for them.
The Soundtracks were amazing ✨🤩.
Really enjoyed the 1st half part of the show the most but the rest is all good.
Score 8/10 by me at MAL (Would've gave 7 but because of the trains actions I gave it 8)
Finished on 16th September 2024 at 22:57 Hrs IST.

I can't believe it took me 8 years to realize this was an original series and not an adaptation. No wonder the writing was so shit.

Original series either become classics or are absolutely abysmal, because anime screenwriters seemingly can't write good script without a reference made by a "professional". Very rarely you get something that could be considered just "OK".
