Looks like Anna's popularity and their recent project got more popularity. Unfortunately, this episode was not all fun and joy as it's soon learned that the shop she went to is closing down soon.

Seems this episode had less of the usual cherry moments but I'm still looking forward to see how the group develops together.

Anna and her Engrish, haha. She's is such a treasure. <3

It's a shame that the music shop is going to close its door for good. Poor Anna. :(

I guess one would expect it with a cast like this right, but that engrish caught me off guard ... it also left a mark on my soul.

But anyway, a lot of Anna (and her thighs) this week, a lot of her and her surroundings, bunch of new characters around here too .. but only for a bit. And also a music shop that i never even knew existed is now closing apparently.

I understand the motive behind it, i do, but that shop should have been like a hang out place for the group to have the impact its closing is supposed to have.

Feel so bad for Anna having to lose the place that means a lot to her. That Engrish was quite unexpected.

Anna is carrying this anime. She is such a Nice character. people thought she would Just be Just a 1 dimensional character with a single function for the rest of they cast. Thankfully they are proving the trope wrong.

Anna focused episode I am so moved. Best girl and character and she makes every scene she’s in better so of course an episode surrounding her would be the best so far.

Stout Records means so much to her and I totally understand her feeling lost and defeated about them closing. It’s a place where she can connect with music her father loved, reminds her of Brasil and where she learnt to come out of her shell. The sentimental value can’t be measured. Seeing her break down, lashing out and even reaching out to popular customers for help was rough 💔

Anna’s been a great friend and always there to cheer everyone else up so it’s only right the girls come together and help take a burden off her shoulders. Like Obunai said, the name of the cheer channel is literally stout records. Can’t let them go out sad like this! Cheering/singing for the shop to stay open and raise money should be fun. Can’t wait for the next episode .

Nossa!
Anna speaks Japanese, Portuguese and also English. It even seems that the anime portrayed the parents of the seiyuu Larissa Tago Takeda.

Another very good episode!

The Blues enter the scene.

Some scenes are outlined in red; others, in blue. I think it is not for nothing... I will pay more attention.

I like Anna. Not because she is a fellow countryman. She is neat.

Today's biggest revelation: Nodoka's entire character does a 180 when she hangs out with Anna and no one else is present.

An episode focused on Anna was pretty enjoyable, although it opened up to how tough her issues are. Her personality now is completely different to how she was when she was younger before she became friends with Nodoka. Speaking of which, I did find it amusing to see Nodoka acting more lazily and blunt when she's only hanging out with Anna, but not with the rest of the group.

Obunai did the right thing in finding Anna and giving her the verbal boost she needs to get motivated in her attempt to stop the Stout Records shop from closing. It would be sad to see the shop that Anna used the name for her video channel to close up, so here's hoping the girls will formulate a plan to help keep the shop open.

Anna is good on her Portuguese English, but the amount of Engrish is too hilarious to not call out.

Stout Records, the music store that she frequents as a co-worker, is a place she knows well because it's vinyl music of DJ-esque songs that she so loves quite a lot. But the store itself, managed by YJ with the dear Portuguese friend of Mia, is on the cusp of shutting down and all of his records being given to a collection shop in Tokyo to see wider range. Something...which Anna is clearly not happy with.

Nodoka being the closest to friend to Anna, that the latter couldn't be swayed from letting the shop close down, it's all she has, since she couldn't live a normal life after the passing of her father. More than just Nodoka, the retro music store is also considered her second home in Japan, which YJ gives in the effort to take Anna in when she was young, and liatening to her father's last form of music: Latin music. Obunai giving Anna a piece of her mind, and since their cheer group is linked to the store name, the only thing to do is to cheer and keep the legacy alive.

When one door closes, another opens, and hope that's the case for Stout Records.

Definitely my favorite episode so far. Anna is the best! Anna is life (of the anime)!
Anna is my favorite character and the main reason I'm still watching this.
I cried laughing when I heard English with a Brazilian accent from a Japanese VA 😂
Also the running joke of the grandmother responding slowly was so funny to me for some reason.
Overall, I love that they found a way to make them have to do cheer other than for videos.
This could have easily turned into another youtuber anime and I'm glad they don't seem to be going in that direction.

All in all, great episode. Can't wait for their performance next week!

An entertaining episode... Nodoka's sleeping habits were quite a surprise, and who would have thought that the most cheerful of them all had so many problems since childhood.

Now, on the serious side... it seems inevitable that the store will close. Many businesses suffer in the technological era. Nowadays, many people buy vinyl records because they are unique souvenirs or because they always found them interesting, but it doesn't escape the reality. Nobody feels the need to buy vinyl records just to listen to music. It's sad to see those bright, shiny records gathering dust in their own history, giving the sense, or rather the fact, that it's all over. YJ knows this, knows better than anyone that continuing the business won't be profitable. I feel for Anna, but there's little we can do against reality. I sincerely hope the business prospers for a while longer, and I'm sure the girls will do something to help.

The first part feels like slice of life and for some reason, it doesn't involve the usual characters. I also had thought that it doesn't have much drama to hook me on, but boy I was wrong.

It hit in the middle of the episode. The recording shop Anna is working for is closing, and we get to learn more of Anna, that she did not always behave as extrovertedly as before.

Also, we are now hooked into the next episode on how the cheer team will save the shop.

Anyway, I don't think one cour would be enough to fully flesh out the story of this anime.

Unfortunately for Stout Records this show is made by PA Works which means "they tried hard but ultimately failed that's just how life usually is kids!!"

Well, at least the animators know how to animate an "au" and not simply made her do a cartwheel instead, since most non-capoeristas thought of them as the exact same thing. Although the use of an "au" for a forward movement is kinda dubious, since an "au" is mostly used for a lateral movements/setup instead, but oh well.

Hearing them speak English sounded a bit strange, to be honest. The Japanese accents were still very much there. Also, it's quite surprising that Nodoka sleeps while doing the splits 😂

Well, this episode was certainly better than the last one. It was focused on Anna, that is arguably the best character of the anime, and not only that, they gave her a really interesting backstory too, I think that was the best part of the episode, alongside the visible effect that the shop that was so dear to Anna closing down. I honestly think this might have been the best episode story-wise, because of exactly this, we got to see an Anna that we haven't seen before.
Curious to see what the "cheer" dance will do, because honestly it will be a bit weird if they do a cheer for the store, and they're like "oh well, with that dance I guess I'll have to remain open and lose more money until I go bankrupt". Maybe they'll do a video cheering for the store and it will catch enough attention for the store not to close down?
Como to think of it, the determination of Anna on making videos and get popular was also explained this episode, since she wants to get famous to bring more people to the store.
I knew this episode was going to be better, just because it was going to be focused on Anna, and I wonder how the anime will go from here, we are 1/3 in.

Why would they try to save the shop? It's the owner's decision if he wants to sell it. The girls should just help Anna move on; she's already got a group of friends to hang out with.
