| This episode had a theme of revenge, stemed from an event some 4 years ago. It's not a bad idea to team up for this exam though. Even Sentouin D is in for the plan. I'm still very curious about Sentouin XX. They really seem to be building her up for something bigger this season. |

| D is fighting for survival, while XX is just chilling and knocking on doors because she's bored. Four years ago, Kai lost his brother, who was a member of the Dragon Keepers, was killed to an invader claiming to be god. Determined to avenge his brother, Kai aimed to pass the qualification exam to become an official Dragon Keeper. On the second day of the exam, Kai teamed up with other candidates from different groups: Eigen Urabe, Angelica Yukino, Soujirou Ishikawa, and Renren Akebayashi, with the goal of passing the test. Meanwhile, D, who had been planning to manipulate the candidates, decides to cooperate with the remaining candidates instead. Sesera wants D on her team for reasons related to brotherly affection. On another note, despite XX's enthusiasm, she's terrified of her master to the point of wishing D would flee. It's interesting how the Blue Ranger girl views the rest of the class as desperate as D. D's decision to reveal himself to Ranmaru was bold, considering they both share the status of "Rejects," but it may have been the shock needed to refocus him. Also, that scene in the end pretty much confirms that Yumeko not only knows Hibiki is actually D but also has a huge crush on him. Looks like we've finally got a definitive best girl in this series. As for what Peltrola means by "granting salvation," only time will reveal the answer. |

| Back to the exam. Another episode of peak. If you haven’t noticed by now, one of the biggest themes in the early going of Sentai Daishikkaku is how no one can be trusted. Everyone’s got a mask on and those that don’t, end up like the Blue Ranger who tried to help Sentouin XX did. After the ass beating that they took last episode you’d think Shion be a little nicer would try to work with D more to get the keys, but nope. Even after that fake ass bonding over mutual trauma he still showers his ass in the exam by ditching D and siding with the other examinees. It’s a cold world out here, but at the same time you can’t feel too bad since D was planning to betray buddy anyway 😭 gotta be faster my boy. No good deed goes unpunished as they say, feel pretty bad about the blue ranger getting killed by Peltrola there. Probably been the nicest full fledged ranger we’ve seen yet and it earned em a laser hole in the stomach. For doing so much talking about killing humans XX sure froze up when someone pulls up and does it lmao. You know Peltrola is trouble if even she’s afraid. Suzukiri screen time I’m moved as usual. She’s so fucking chaotic and I love it. Pulls up, shows how much stronger she is than everyone and then just gives up the key, truly a chad move. Ofc she did it because of D, but still hilarious that she pretended it was all due to someone saying “anyone can be a ranger” 😂 Classic shonen trope of something going wrong during an exam arc, but I’ll take it lol. Peltrola and XX on the loose next week is gonna be great |

| Damn. There's a boss-type monster that's still alive. I wonder how it avoided being killed by the Dragon Keepers. Felt bad about the blue ranger who got killed. He was very close to Sakurama in terms of his thought process. Too bad he died right before he could help XX. The fight with Suzukiri was pretty short. But it was pretty entertaining. We need more screentime with that girl. I wanna know what makes her so crazy. Of course they didn't win on the 2nd day. If they win it'll be on the 3rd day. Otherwise, the exam wouldn't last that long. So, it seems there aren't enough keys for everyone to pass. Makes sense. Too bad Suzukiri's key was casually taken by the asshole cadets. So, the Mineta looking guy now knows Fighter D's secret. Wonder how that'll play out. |

| typical shonen exam arc, i really don't care about Shion and the others. Kurusu was very stupid and weak, really annoyed to see his behavior. i'm really curious about the real purpose of this boss monster, Sentouin XX is my favorite character so far. better than the previous episode at least.  |
| Imagine getting the dream job you're massively unqualified for just because your examiner is curious enough to see how far you'd go. He's probably too tunnel visioned on his goal for this but it'd be interesting if D forms a deep enough connection to any of the humans he's met to spare them from monster domination if (or when) he actually gets the Dragon Keepers on their knees. Maybe with his current squad of underdog cadets? |

Suzukiri is really going to let them pass and it seems like she jsut happens to materialize shields. Does she have a thing with D as well from that one frame? Not sure. |

That one completely took me out by surprise, it felt like it was missing a “translator’s note” at the top like the fansubs of old, explaining the difference in formality between the two and explicitly call out the character’s verbal ticks, instead of just using both “me” and “I” like a normal translation would and should do. But funnier still, I switched to the Hebrew subs to see how the translator handled this line, out of curiosity, and “ore” was translated literally from English, so it used a word meaning “mineral deposit”. |
| Having noticed Tokita only has one key, Fighter D has figured that the individual examinees are competing with the one they are paired with, not ones for other colours. D comes close to breaking his cover multiple times, from using a pronoun Hibiki normally wouldn't use in front of Aizome, to showing disbelief at Shion's elder brother being killed by an Executive as recently as 4 years. Shion would be right and D and the Dragon Keepers who dismissed him were wrong; Peltrola, the same executive who killed Hibiki and Sesera's parents, is alive and XX is colluding with him. While the no-colours are taking an exam where Rangers play invader, Peltrola is inside the dragon's nest killing rangers already, having taken the life of the ranger who repaired Hibiki's laptop, himself reluctant to fight an invader such as XX. Aizome is bearing witness to this. With Shion having formed a team of 5 with the likes of Yukino etc., Hibiki forms his own team to compete for the keys. In their encounter with Suzukiri to get the yellow key, she teases them with her immense abilities, she takes the comment that anyone can be a ranger to heart. She is well aware the Hibiki that knocked her away is indeed Fighter D. |

| A lot happened in this episode, but seriously, how could he release the key so easily? I hope D can fix things. And with the arrival of Peltrola, it gets more and more interesting. One thing I didn't understand is why Koguma didn't say anything and acted naturally when he saw D regenerating. |

| I feel like every time an episode starts, we are skipping a minute forward so I have to double-check if I'm watching the correct episode or not lol Leaving that aside, I like how these guys betrayed their partners so early on, that was unexpected. I feel like I won't be interested in the boss monster. Also that kind megane kun getting killed was unfortunate. Yumeko is best girl :D |
| I'm still pretty into this and want to know the mystery of D's faction not knowing about the boss and where exactly XX fits, but there have been a share of moments that needed more explaining. Why is Afro guy okay with finding out about D? Did we know anything about him that suggested that? Even if he is sympathetic, as we're learning a few rangers are, why didn't D look worried? I feel like I missed something. |
| Things are really getting more chaotic as a blue ranger maintenance guy got murdered (and possibly others) and the competitors turned on each other. Also with that god-like boss Peltrola on the loose I wonder if any of these people are strong enough to take it on plus D and his group still need to gather the keys from their partners, chaotic indeed. |

There was actually still Boss Monsters around... even tho the Rangers said they cleaned house and took over the main Monster spaceship And RIP that actual good natured Blue Ranger janitor... would have become a good ally for D... guess not... And I guess Suzukiri is going thirsty for D? (pun intended? LOL) . That Boss monster tho... went on a rampage in Rangers base... yet... no one sound the Alarm? . But the main question is... why was XX hitting the pipes to call for help in the first place knowing she's in a RANGERS BASE? And only to reget calling for help when actual HELP ARRIVES? Is she retarded? |

| Another good episode but I'm still like, "Are the Dragon Keepers that bad?" I'm not getting enough here to see that outside of two or three things. I know it won't be balance but I don't think it understands the other side is still kind of cold blooded monsters that want to rule the world. So you have to do more than go, "This guy is a jerk. He isn't a REAL hero!" Like the current boss monster just casually killing innocent cadets who are not even that much of a threat. Does this author still want me to believe the only bad guys here is the Dragon Keepers? Also look Fighter XX simply existing is causing problems for D. Who would thought this character could run the risk of fucking everything up? This is why I say D's plan is doomed to fail. |

| I felt relieved because I was afraid that XX was the boss who attacked Hibiki and his sister but just got nerfed or something. It's all because of those "tattoos" on her neck and the pattern in hair. I took a look at the manga to see what the adaptation material looks like and I see that the anime is of course a bit different but overall it all seems to be happening too fast. Manga did better job to deliver the story. And on the one hand, I'm glad that the plot is moving forward quickly, we have quite interesting situations, such as XX running away, a boss appearing in the fortress. D reveals his face to Ranmaru. I'm definitely looking forward to the next episode. |
