Aliens are so weird in this show. I swear, some of their personalities are just all over the place. Good to know about Mira's mother and her past though.

Somehow, Tomihiro ends up being one of the most hilarious character in this episode. Mira also continously show that she cares about Takumi although this episode is much more than about their relationship. What a weird episode.

Really enjoyed learning about Mira's mother this episode and the fallout from Takumi learning about who Mira really is.

Hilarious episode, I cannot believe THIS would be the episode where Takumi gets his misunderstandings corrected! I love the humor generated from that so it's somewhat sad to see it go, but bug munching Aoi is here to keep the spaghetti spilt. Also enjoyed the insight we got into the previous owner. Quite the ladies guy who loved to eat breakfast!

Like I said, Tasuke was from earth and they were lovers but got torn apart. I sure hope that won't be the case for Mira and Takumi. Please realise your feelings for Takumi already Mira, don't be late. Also 1 year on earth is 3 years on wido? So each planet has different time progression in this anime. Btw Mira's mother guessing what Mira would say at each step was hilarious.

So we get to learn about Mira's mom in a most hilarious fashion although it was very cliche. Takumi's is reeling from the shock that Mira, Shion, and the dog are aliens from planet Wido. Aoi invites Takumi to the insect festival to cheer him up.

There was a Terminator 2 reference at the end of message from Mira's mom.

Somehow I just feel like their relationship won't work out, there's so many obstacles. But the ED has me thinking otherwise.

Another very good episode!

I see two couples in the future, Takumi and Mira and Shoin and Aoi, and I see Aoi becoming the queen of Wid in the future.

Mira is lucky that they have a matriarchy (it seems so), otherwise the fact that she is not the emperor’s blood-related daughter could end in very strong political instability for everyone. Also, the sci-fi elements in this episode feel like one big love letter to 80s sci-fi anime.

Such an unexpectedly good and refreshing series. The plot is interesting enough, but this is the kind of series which I feel could very much function well as just a day-to-day shenanigans Slice of Life apart from and beyond all that (the plot is just like another flavoring or layer added atop the cake), and even if the main plot itself concluded in 12 episodes or however long, I definitely feel it's a series I could watch many more episodes of the aftermath of just the SoL stuff of this group of colorful (figuratively and literally - I like the actual color scheme and art style given to this series too) misfits all doing their thing and hanging out.

This reminds me a bit of if Lilo & Stitch were a romance anime.

Aoi-chan is somehow giving that Shinobu vibe from Love Hina. That Christmas special OVA/episode where Keitaro was down and Shinobu tried to cheer him up by inviting him to a date.

I don't know why this show is so underrated. It's not a masterpiece but it's enjoyeable.

Wait, Mira's actually half-human? Wtf. But Ig it makes sense. Didn't think Tasuke would be her dad tho.

Mira's mother's video mail was pretty funny. That Terminator reference was so random but funny lol. I also liked how the flashbacks looked like an 80s anime. That was really cool. The creators of this anime really love old-school anime.

Ig Mira's mom was actually using an avatar of her younger self as Naosuke said. She's probably pretty old by now.

It seems like Tasuke was quite an interesting fellow when he was alive. He seems like he was a very good-natured and humble person but he also had a bit of a naughty side. No one is perfect lol. It's a shame that he passed away. It would've been cool if he could at least see his daughter all grown up... Man...

Takumi finally learned that Mira and her friends are aliens. That's so much to take in alone. He should've talked more with Mira. But it's understandable that he might be scared.

A date with Aoi, huh? The preview suggests it's going to become a double date. That's gonna be fun.

So, it seems that even Mira's mother is also a victim of the political marriage, and crashes on Earth, only to find the old Astro Lodge and Tasuke, only to fall in love with him, and forget all about her royal life back home as Queen. If only fate could have her life stated as such, and her leaving the Key to hopefully one day come back and see Tasuke, it's just a tragic love story, not to mention the Hubby stealing the message away from them, only to be drowned in curry. Other than Takumi being nonsensical and finally seeing Mira, Naosuke and Shoin's true origins, the clue being the yard is their only best knowledge so far.

Asking everyone what they know about Tasuke, from memories to food taught to Wakabayashi, plus Filipino food and babes that caused him to have both arms fractured, what a man who's quite adored by the community around him. But the talking point is Takumi, who still feels down after learning of Mira's true origins, and rescluses himself. To that extent, Aoi taking him out for a date to an insect festival to cheer him up...that's freaky.

How will Takumi recover from the entire affair?

Fun episode, Takumi finally gets few of his misunderstandings cleared
I don't get why Naosuke wants Aoi and Takumi paired up tho, like what's his goal there

Because if he gets involved in a relationship with Aoi (or anyone else), then he'll be distracted and off doing his own thing with that, so he won't be bothering and distracting Mira anymore. Naosuke just sees him as a distraction and hindrance to Mira when he wants her 100% focused at all times on finding the key and getting back to their home planet to assume her role in political office.

It was weird seeing Wakabayashi being a productive adult.
I know it was only cooking, but that was higher skills than I had thought he was capable of so far.
