| I see they're really pushing Kei to get involved with baseball even if he's not too thrilled about it. Still not sure how to feel about the comedy gags of this show but they are definitely taking the baseball games seriously. We even got some batting this episode. Some character rivalries seems to be building up too. |

| As usual, Kei continued to refuse baseball, but Haruka proposed a deal, reluctantly persuading him to practice batting. Meanwhile, Aoi Toudou and Shunpei Chihaya, who also harbored dreams of forming the ultimate battery like Yamada, were shocked to witness this scene. |

| Former opponents reconnect through spirit of competition, slowly moving their relationship toward more friendly ground is totally worth the watch. On the fun note, kei energy is through the roof in this one and Haruka brother being a physical porn collector is certainly something to wander about. Rip the dvd tho, must be rare one.  |

| Was happy after ep1 they didn't flip the names for the subs, but now they went ahead and did it, which never stops irritating me. On top of just... consistency, ffs, if you start something one way, just stick to it, maybe? Sigh. Like the new guys, makes sense others who gave up their baseball dreams would also come to a noname school and then run into former opponents - and promptly get back into the spirit of it, despite how they might never want to even see baseball again. Yamada's quips about how old habits die hard and all the training being hard to shake certainly are true. I also like how the gags don't seem to be at the expense of baseball itself, indeed the core of that is laid pretty bare in several scenes, in more ways than one - hell, the stills of all the used equipment almost make it tangible. Kinda wonder if Kei being a hentai is memory or if it comes as a new-found obsession after his amnesia?... lol |
| Voice acting is such an overlooked element when it comes to animation as a medium!! Normally, I would never be watching, much less enjoying something like this, but just the fact that the casting team has managed to pick out the perfect people to deliver this batshit insane silliness is enough to have me looking forward to the next episode as soon as one ends. I'm mainly here for my scarce seasonal Youhei Azakami crumbs, but it'd be a crime to not mention how much I've missed hearing Mamoru Miyano in more comedy-oriented roles! His presence really is defining no matter where he goes. |

| Aoi and Shunpei definitely liked it when Kiyomine recognized them. So far, no success in recruiting those guys into the team. Even Kei doesn't look very serious about baseball. Only Yamada and Kiyomine are giving their all. Hopefully, we'll see those two joining soon enough. Plus, it looks like some other schools are gonna try and target the Public School where the genius duo is studying. |

| So finally we are introduced to Aoi, the shortstop that happens to be a power hitter and Shunpei, the second baseman who can run the bases. Both Aoi and Shunpei were also victims of the Haruka and Kei Battery which lead them to quit baseball, but they showed that they still got talent when Kei invited them to play. However, despite Haruka remembering how talented Aou and Shunpei were, they refused to play with the Battery that crushed their dreams. Seems like Kei is starting to remember how fun baseball is thanks to muscle memory even though he continues to act like a goofy idiot with amnesia. Didn't know that Kei was a lefty batter though. |

| The way Kei acts is so goofy but at least he has his muscle memory plus he said that he enjoys playing with everyone. Also, with Haruka saying towards the end that he remembers the 2 guys' names I'm sure made them feel good so it's only a matter of time before those 2 join them although they will need more players to form a team. |

| I decided to watch this on a whim since Diamond no Ace make me interested in baseball and it's one of the best sports anime I've seen. It took me by surprise when I heard the character Kei talks, it's definitely Miyano without a doubt. Also, they really just go to amnesia, I'm a bit iffy about that part, it's the usual go to of third-rate telenovelas. Gonna keep on watching for now. |

| A gathering of geniuses. I'm hyped for this! Kei is so funny; his personality reminded me of Zenitsu: very talkative, freaks out every time, but still pretty awesome when it counts. Kiyomine's cute selfishness is already given as a pitcher, and the arrival of the two new members are already balancing the not-yet-complete team. I wonder though about the other players who are gonna join (if there will be?) 'cause I don't think you can play baseball with a five-man team? So there will be four more...? (Not minding the people degrading this show) I love baseball and this show is really good |

Voice acting is such an overlooked element when it comes to animation as a medium!! Normally, I would never be watching, much less enjoying something like this, but just the fact that the casting team has managed to pick out the perfect people to deliver this batshit insane silliness is enough to have me looking forward to the next episode as soon as one ends. I'm mainly here for my scarce seasonal Youhei Azakami crumbs, but it'd be a crime to not mention how much I've missed hearing Mamoru Miyano in more comedy-oriented roles! His presence really is defining no matter where he goes.

| I don't gravitate towards sports anime, but any time that ever clicked on a series' first episode (be it out of boredom or curiosity), I get hooked! One episode! And they turn out to be so damn good! I don't even watch sports irl! |

| Kei is still going around on his Nipple Hair joke as Taro needs to get his act together managing both him and Haruka in their respective positions. And soon, two more students arrive to see their playstyles: Shunpei Chihaya and Aoi Todo, though for both guys, they'd think that the Kaname-Kiyomine battery is quite the fearful duo that they didn't want to see them again, much less Kei's serious amnesia. But one push from Haruka, and it sets both of their hearts ablaze of cutting back from their memories of defeat. Aoi battering against Haruka while Kei takes Taro's spot to catch the ball, and for a sore loser like Haruka, baseman Shunpei is quite the runner. Still though, to get these two to join the baseball team, it's only a matter of perseverance and time. For now, it's a beleaguering of various figures within a public school. |

| I hope Kei becomes less annoying, although Mamo-chan's voice is making him bearable. I feel like they just said "okay just be your normal chaotic self" basically. |

I almost didn't even watch episode 1 because I don't like baseball, but something told me to check it out. The voice acting is perfection. |
| Unfortunately this is no good. I do not dislike baseball. But I usually don't really like the long anime with multiple seasons. MAPPA is a nice studio for original stuff and seinen or non-action stuff. Here we have a baseball anime adapted by this good studio. But I do not like the setting with the amnesia at all. Does not feel interesting so far. They are already super strong. (Growing slowly without having the amnesia thing would be better.) And the main chars are not interesting. Sometimes even annoying. I admit: The comedy is a bit fun. But this will get old super fast and the guy with the same VA as the main from Steins;Gate behaving in a similar obnoxious way than the main char of that anime ... really bad. This really might mainly be something interesting for younger people Just has too much of those more annoyign shounen stuff. With even the one char watching porn and jokes about it. I think I prefer more stuff like Moshidora. Compact and a good nice story in 1 season and also some interesting female chars. (Though full-girls-only is more annoying as only male chars. :D Mixed cast is the best.) Setting this to 7/10 and dropping. I might use my time for other stuff - watching less in this season. (Though one or another anime caught my attention. From what I have heard the one with golf - Tonbo - might have narration in a way that I prefer.) |
| This is certainly a change of pace from normal baseball anime. Accepting it as a comedy and it's actually quite fun to watch. VA's performance certainly makes up for the general silliness making it a better experience than it could have been. Hope Kei would realise he loves baseball after all despite all the reluctance, he's already in a 'can't let go' mode, even if it's mostly subconscious for now. |
