| @ginf no, this thread is just hopelessly written and predictable. Well, it turned out that the witch were the detective's adopted sons, cool, but it wasn't grounded at all and didn't evoke any emotions, the detective and her sons were empty dolls, just like those policemen created by Ashaf. |

| The grimoire definitely knew Kieras kids would be perfect wielders. It was The Witch's Pastime after all. But now i'm curious how brutal a grimoire that doesn't receive its sacrifice can be. What has Ashaf seen these cursed items do? |

| So a grimoire can make someone as strong as a witch...for a price. Hopefully this isn't a one off and the author explores this idea again but better. |

| That ep was pure trash. Peak trash. Her adopted sons show up and find books she didn’t even leave and then she kills them for being witches? Oh boy. Seems like she was using them to show her boyfriend how to love? Completely absurd. And then puts them down like dogs. That was total stupidity. Adopted children would merit more than dogs who bit a stranger. This show has totally lost me. Time for the next episode. |

| Oof, the writing is so bad it could be funny if it wasn't for how long it takes for stuff to happen and when something happens, its handled so quick it just bring to question what was the point of making two episodes for this case. Blondie is insufferable, going on and on and on and on about killing witches made me think he truly deserves that curse. That Rueben guy was not the smartest, what was even his plan, his head getting smashed by that big flying brick was hilarious xD This lady talk about her sons' death being this BIG heartbreaking moment in her life just to latter reveal is was all about Rueben so they can get screwed up, also she has not idea how the grimoire ended up in their hands, not her fault, let alone her problem, I think that was the actual twist instead of the sons' goal in life being wanting to bang their adoptive mom lol |

| so i got multiple assumptions wrong: the perpetrator is not an old hag nor a witch, which explains a lack of intervention from Paladin Corps. also, female victims are not exclusively targeted to prey on although i blame the show for subjecting them to brutal death scenes. It turned out that it was Keira's adopted children who were responsible for the serial murders through the influence of grimoire, which just spawned out of nowhere it's ridiculous. i wager they had cut corners in the latter to conclude the story's final act at the expense of - well, everything it built up to. Keira's tormented backstory was hardly justified in that half-assed confrontation, even alluding to quasi-Oedipus complex relationship with her children, but its executed poorly that i'm the one analyzing nuances that don't exist just to compensate the lack thereof. she killed them fast too, i forgot she is their mom. devoid of emotional impact. |
