Well, it looks like anyone could use a life coach these days, at least in this show.

Hanabi is the latest example and at first, she seemed rather irrelvant until getting picked on. I do like how the episode portrays her in the most human way possible. Even though she isn't as sociable as some of the others, this episode allowed her to open up more to others. That's development imo.

Konno was annoying enough in the first season, but in this season, she's just...

Due to confronting Konno about her harassment, Natsubayashi has become a new target. However, without breaking, she continues to stand up to Konno. In the ongoing daily arguments, an atmosphere begins to emerge in the class, suggesting that while Konno may be at fault, Natsubayashi is also not fully aware of her surroundings. If Tomozaki could change, maybe Natsubayashi, who is similar to him, could change too. Natsubayashi, guided by advice from Tomozaki and Aoi, makes efforts to change her expressions and tone, aiming to become more approachable.

It's nice to see that Natsubayashi has friends who truly care about her at this stage.

Many people complained about how the class acted in the previous episode, but I think it's just cultural differences. Japanese are really obsessed with this "reading the room" stuff.

Recording conversations and listening them sounds like an effective method to improve one's way of talking, but if I actually did it I'd be creeped out at myself lmao
両手に花 (ryoute ni hana lit. flowers in both hands) - two blessings at once; flanked by two beautiful women
I relate to Tama here, I really wasn't interested in my classmates and couldn't recall their names in my school years... Yeah, hopefully I'll get better from now on
It's like Tama got herself a reverse harem at the end there lol
Good episode

Compared to how he was initially Tomozaki really had changed a lot. Its good that Tama herself wants to change though. Man Tama's bluntness really is off the charts. Bringing in outside help was the best choice here. Still to think that Aoi's plan was to convince Erika's own clique to help rein her in. It does feel like Aoi's wariness with Tama changing is because she wants things to remain as they are. Even with all this this i don't see Erika letting up with her bullying at all.

A lot of great progress. Nothing too deep or complex going on but I like this social engineering aspect Tomozaki is adapting from Aoi and how we see it in action.

And whether Aoi is doing the cheese thing on purpose or not was a great question being asked, It would defintely make sense for her, consciously giving herself a endeering quirk like that.

Tamaya!

Lots of intrigue going on here. In hopes of solving her bully problem, Tomozaki is now giving Aoi's lessons to Hanabi and enlists the help of the hair care products guy. This leads to an amusing situation with Hanabi having a whole otome reverse harem deal going on. I'd play that VN. Meanwhile, Aoi has run some groundwork talking to the class, and has even reached Erika's own circle. The class now has many secret Tama sympathizers, which will no doubt come in handy in the revolution against the tyranny of Erika.

Good developments with Hanabi. In the first season, her whole character was pretty much just Mimimi's friend and that's it. Now, she's working towards becoming more friendly despite her blunt personality. I will call her second best girl!

Nice to see Tomozaki evolving and becoming leader in his own way and not used by Hinami, but the ep was a little boring or slow.

Another episode of peak let’s go! Tomozaki’s growth is on full display now. The student becomes the teacher

Tomozaki and Tama’s self improvement sessions are going very well. He’s already done a good job identifying some areas Tama can improve on. Connecting with others, the way she talks to people, etc. All these things will help get people on her side.

While Tama improving herself is still good for her own sake, it’s ridiculous that no one in the class is publicly standing up to Erika, like she’s some goddess or something. You have 20 people in that class sitting by idly while she just abuses another student. It blows my mind. They’re all as guilty as Erika

Assigning a training buddy to Tama to help her make a new friend was a very smart idea by Tomozaki

Aoi’s socially engineered “quirk” about liking cheese paying dividends I see. Mizusawa finds it cute and endearing lol

Speaking of Aoi, she’s really showing how much of a hypocrite she is. So she wants Tomozaki to change, but when it comes to her own friend, “I don’t want you to change” 😂 yea while you sit by and let her get bullied every day. Sure, she’s going behind the scenes and talking to Erika’s friends, but this could literally all be stopped in one day.

The dispute with Konno continues as this time Tama is trying to change in order for that stupid dispute to not bother her. Seriously, what's that girl's problem, just cut it out. But at the very least this got her closer to the rest and made her start to realize that she'd never shown interest in her classmates before. The setting might not be that realistic but in that sense I can relate to it.

Tomozaki improved a lot. He's now basically the leader of Tama's self improvement and it's growing.

Konno is still annoying though.

I finished my rewatch of Season 1 today (minus the OVAs) so I’m now perfectly ready for this season, and great timing that it’s on episode 3’s release date. We got a bit of a full circle thing going on here with Tomozaki being the one to change someone for the better like Aoi did for him in Season 1, I’m definitely a fan of that and Tama is a fitting candidate, only other character I think that would fit would be Kikuchi but she’s already perfect, she needs no change lol. Aoi seems to think Tama doesn’t need to change tho, an interesting take and there’s probably personal feelings in there, but it’s as Tomozaki said at the end, was that just another mask? I’m starting to wonder if the version of Aoi that interacts with Tomozaki regularly is also a mask, masks within masks if you will lol, one of the world’s greatest mysteries.

And not only has Tomozaki helped change Tama, he also amassed supporters with Mizusawa and Takei, Army Boy has got his own army now lol. It’s safe to say Tama is on track to defeating Konno at last, but I’m not sure if we’ll see another curve ball or not, we’ll have to wait and see. I also want to mention the talk they had about charms, I didn’t think about the fact Aoi loves cheese that way lol, but once again you gotta wonder if that’s purposeful or not, the enigma that is Aoi is super interesting for sure. And lastly, it didn’t take long for that ED to grow on me, of course I liked it but now it’s a full groove, I prefer Season 1’s still of course but it’s a vibe and a half too.

It’s funny to see Tomzaki in this role now, he sure has evolved a lot from the first season! Tama is amassing new boys on her side every day 😂 she will defeat Konno soon now and I can’t wait for the atmosphere to get better in the class.

I'm truly wondering how this series keeps treating some characters Tomozaki used to talk with every day as if they no longer exist.

I thought it's obvious, it looked clear after Aoi's conversation with Mizusawa. And I can guess only now Tomozaki saw how her mask started cracking after Tama's conflict with Konno or maybe it's just another mask, I'm confused a bit😂.

All first season I thought this would turn into the male version of Nobuta wo Produce (a J-drama). This episode brought that thought back into my head. Aoi shows nothing but masks. If/when the classmates come to that realization she's going to need Tomozaki's help.

@FutoiOtaku There is nothing absurdly extraordinary about the changes that Tomozaki made or proposed.
It's normal as you get older to understand certain social dynamics and adapt to them. Of course, in this show this is described in detail, which may give you a strange feeling.

I love how even though they are focusing on helping Tama, Tomozaki is still given a little advance.

Who would say that the weird guy would even form groups and lead them with the intention of helping him in his ideals?

@Embient I get it, the time is precious, but at least they should show that Tomozaki says hello to them. I mean Fuuka is practically his girlfriend (not officially but I guess that counts anyway), isn't that the good reason. And instead of it we just get scenes like this:

Yeah, but I meant not a whole season but a specific arc, where mostly it looks like Tomozaki just pauses his communication progress with some of the characters and then when arc ends just continues like nothing happened even if several days or even a week passed.

Tama looking up to Tomozaki for help since he has literally upgraded his social skills to teach her, though still not quite the perfectionist yet.

The dispute between Tomozaki and Aoi: changing Tama, with the former wanting to change her, but the latter not wanting to. Instead, letting things take its course with Erika...seems to be working in the short-term, but the long-term of changing the environment in the class is a rather unpredictable move. That's where Mizusawa comes in marching on them to state his position in the class, and Tomozaki has a good idea for her: try to make friends with Tama, since they did not get along well in the past.

And so, trying it out between both Tama and Mizusawa, it sure gets awkward when Tama's into love and romance. Mimimi comes along and chides herself as the party of the group to help them out as well. Mizusawa ropes in Takei for help, though he's just being the chess piece that rolls around making schemes that would help Tama and keep this issue under wraps. As expected, Erika's attacks continued on Tama, but while everything is going acertain, the variable factor is Aoi and what she's trying to do on her side. Hearkening back to the sports tournament, Takei being the class idiot and Tama being the unsympathetic classmate, there exists unique charms on everyone that could make or break the class dynamic. But a big part of Tama is that she doesn't really talk to the others, something which Tomozaki did and learnt a lot about improving his social skills that way.

Soon, it becomes a Tama project led by the Brain Tomozaki, but that Aoi is still sticking to her own selfish trait of not wanting Tama to change, which the former is trying to help her with all he can.

Project Improve Tama, on full course!

Sorry, but this mask theory or whatever the name goes around, sounds cringe as hell. She doesn't have a not-so-normal personality, we get it. It's normal btw, no need to glorify it as something which needs a case study on.

Anyways, Tama's previous approach to bullying was right, I feel, but let's see what this no reaction/no action approach does.
