It's too bad Shun's team didn't win. Being a runner up and receiving prize money isn't as satisfying as being the absolute winner.

This was also a time for Shun to re-evaluate himself and think what he needs to do next in his life. He went out with friends to a local festival and enjoyed time away from a competitive environment. It's good for his physical and mental health if you ask me.

This anime honestly isn't that bad, story wise. This is I THINK is a first anime revolving around true E-Sports, not some virtual reality crap and I can see there will be more titles revolving around E-Sports, I'm not gonna get surprised if Riot or Valve actually fund an anime revolving around their games in the future.

But the gameplay of the game is still bugging me honestly, I just can't ignore it.

Also there are some inconsistencies with the animation too, this episode feels like a different studio handling everything because characters faces looks different from the older episodes, also Yuu's mole always switching places.

My hatred towards Mutsuki was starting to grow bit by bit. He's not a gamer at all, he's just someone with a game addiction who needed to touch grass real quick. I really hope Shun will not join on his side.

Rox is onto something about Syun, and I think there's some truth to it.

Everything is just absolutely soulless, it's like if an AI is writing it.
Only reason I hadn't dropped it yet is because the milquetoast-ness of it all made it unoffensive enough to endure through.
The bullshit with this Mutsuki guy might be the final straw though.

The ending of the episode is probably the worst part of the anime so far. Just casts away all subtlety and have this goofy as mf do an exposition dump of almost everything we already knew. Just ruined the end of the episode and was waste of time for the most part.

Their eyes look weird, hell, they look weird. They somewhat made them look horrible.

Nonetheless, the ending is insane, Rox seems to have a reason for trying to get Shun to "join his world"

This is where it might get bad. Looked good so far - I had expected overly dramatic stuff regarding the sister. The background here felt pretty tame. Understandable that the main blames himself.

On the other hand the other char (the curry guy) ... seems evil and I bet he also was the one that harassed Yu. Depends on how they deal with it now. If the main goes crazy and the force a lot of drama here - it might bet bad. There still are hopes though since the main has a lot of support from the other team members + also talks to Explosion-kun. (I bet they will wait until the very end for her to reveal herself.)

Shun's team may have been runner-ups, but that's no consolation as they did not win, and for the time being, that prize money is sufficient.

Shun still in the dark about the identity behind Explosion-kun, it wouldn't be for awhile until he will learn that he's been chatting with Yu all the time being. As a child, Yu retreated to the world of the internet and played Xaxxerion, only to be betrayed and played by the same troll players, with Shun standing up for her in a game, which makes her look at him as her hero. The reason that Shun quitting eSports for his sister, and Naito too also has an obsession of him, though it's of cyber stalking.

Of course, when it comes to Mio's rehabilitation, cost comes into play that the family could not afford to. Having Mio meet Yu and the entirety of Fox One in person celebrating a festival in their yukatas, it would be a whole lot better if the accident did not happen. Despite their fortune-telling, for Naito to come finding Shun, armed with his information, he's just beigning that both him and Shun are the same type of people, though one can agree that his cyber stalking defintely sent Naito too far, though to Shun, it's the reality that he can't accept.

A life being bound to the internet and gaming, would Shun take Naito's plunge?

@Dw00010 @Lanz

These peeps are 100% correct!
This show started out promising but this whole episode felt like AI or just bland generic dialogue you see everywhere.

Shun -I'll work hard to save mio, Mio -No y'all work too much for mio......how about y'all actually talk and say....look yes we are working our butts off but we love you and if there is a way to help you we will do it, but I understand your concern and promise not to go to over board......nope to logical!
I get the plot and I'm fine with it but when you start getting that mega bland back and fourth you lost me. Hell it was almost better and more realistic with them both kinda not talking about it and them just trying to do their best for each other in silence....at least that is something different. This episode made me lose some brain cells....

Then there is that dumbass ending! Hey Shun cast aside you overworked mom who loves you, your crip sister who loves you, your childhood friends who love you.....fuck them cuz GAMES am I right!

Such a fucktard turn for this show. It was interesting enough with the dynamics of him trying to balance work, school, life his wants with his families needs and all while going through some romantic entanglements......why did they put this fucking lame ass shonen style evil villain in! That's so over the top goofy.
Next thing he'll do is kidnap the younger sister and hold her hostage unless he plays in the big game......are you fucking me like Will Smith in a backroom....hard, cause for real this is fucking dumb and makes me wanna drop it. What's next say to the girls he has fighting over him.......

I am the last one watching out of all my friends and family that gave it a try most dropped after ep1 with the shit ass game and the rest dropped last episode cause of stuff like this.....I mean the evil guys room looks like some organized crime hacker set up where he's taking over the world in a shit shonen jump anime.....ugh please stop.

Oh finally Shun was fine and relatable and real at first but that ending with him screaming YAMEROOOOOO like it's some power battle anime.....God dude all he did was tell you shit you already know cause it happened to you.....how about be a normal person and go yeah well I'm not gonna throw my family into the actual gutter where they will be without my paycheck cause.....GAMING!!!
How about ask this supposed big time gamer "ok I'll come game with you, just give me enough money to get my sis into rehab and my mom can get by since this is some weird ass business proposition"...... instead we get this donkey ass joke of an ending.

This is my first look at the forums and no wonder interaction is so low in these threads. It'll drop even lower with this shit plot......

Ok rant over, but this kinda anime makes me want to Jerry all over the place!

why does Mutsuki say to Shun to ignore his sister and work and study and only play video games, Shun did that in the past and now he regret it. And it was the first time that Shun was angry at someone/And is Mutsuki the main villain of Bokura no Ameiro Protocol?

EP 6

Really curious though. while its been a fairly slow first 6 eps whats going to happen next. i mean we know they're going to compete more i guess

Anyway cliffhanger. Things became really weird in the last few mins.

So far like, I feel if I had to wait a week for each episode the pacing would have been really slow. It's ok I guess.

This is what happens when you eat nothing but curry. It does things to your brain. Guess that's the tradeoff for clairvoyancy.

Fox One is still in business. The team hangs out with Mio. Yu is maintaining her public image in front of Mio, while Daneko points it out. Shun decides to get back to gaming for Mio, to help her get the rehab.

Mutsuki meets Shun and tells him that he dug up his past. He wants Shun to abandon everything and join him. Like that'll ever happen. But we have a clear antagonist now.
