| Damn, what an epsiode. From the amount of complex feelings to a thrilling ending. Even Narcisse knew the danger at school. The transformation a character can go through in this season is hideous and frightening. It's also just sad to see how much a character can change. |

| When the beginning part of the episode happend, i have wished it would be a little bit longer. Anyway, back at school, our dear Chise and Lucy experimenting with some girl on girl action for the first time, i mean mind reading techniques ... but that one also came and went, like a wind. But never mind all that, cause it would seem like shit is finally happening, like actually stuffs going down after all this time ... whaaaaa. |

| Joseph! Oh, I remember them! In the first season they briefly appeared for a couple seconds, but in the manga Elias and Chise were hiding from them and it was much scarier. iirc the woman is a goddess of some sort. I neves skip this OP. Love it. I'm guessing Philomela cursed herself or something. There are some confusing things, like why is the book in Alcyone, but I'm sure it'll be explained by the end of the season. I guess Joseph, Silky and the goddess from the start of the episode will come into play later. Things became more intense! Love it! |

| Took a while, but maybe finally things are picking up with Philomela's curse. Hope they keep up this momentum, after quite a few rather boring episodes in my opinion. |

| Deep dark fantasies |
| The opening at the very least, it paved for some ominous foreshadowings to come. Chise being able to dive into others' memories, trying out Lucy's for a start, it brings back the scene of her being in protction from the werewolves, but that the outcome was a rather vague message. In contrast rather, the College still remains closed for the Christmas party, and whilst this is creating more problems for Philomela, Chise creates handmade rune charms for everyone as presents, though she meets Alcyone sensing that it was Philomela's scent. As things take a darker turn, Chise trying to figure out her curse, as much as Philomela could not be bound to withhold her curse from long, as Veronica pops in to check on her. As for Rian, he's still stuck out of bounds from the cat guardians, and Chise is alerted to the Testament with Philomela completely transformed into the corrupted entity of the magic book. Now is of itmost importance to retain the spirit as Rian fights Philomela to stop her with the Christmas party underway...and it's going to challenge everyone in the the College to fight aginst her. Finally, after being in limbo for so long, Philomela is the culprit who had the Testament of Carmichael all along, now ready to take her revenge on her oppressors. She finally serves as a plot pointer in this long-edging College arc. |

| Finally... something! Its been too quiet for too long with no much happening, but it seems we're finally hitting an escalation point! Looking forward to the next episode. Also seeing Chise and Elias around each other again is such a great feeling. I miss them having time together. |

| I miss Silky so much, I'm glad we got to see her if for a moment and man, those poor werewolves, her "sin" of sparing Lucy ended up being their downfall, everything happened this episode, I also worry a lot about Alcyone, I can't imagine she is going to be able to repair that hole. |
| Finally some action! So the attacker was Philomela, and she was hiding the book inside her fairy. And she either stole the book herself or had her fairy do it. But of course the one who forced her to do this is the old hag. I did not really see that coming, but in retrospect I should have. It appears the Principal and her aid were suspecting Philomena, which is why they talked about her, the evil hag and her fairy earlier. The Principal's goal when she sealed the school was not to keep the book thief from (re-)entering the school but to prevent them from fleeing with the book. She confirmed via those two witches a few days after sealing the school that the book was still inside after all. The hag ordered Philomena to come back a while after stealing the book and after she had collected a certain amount of magic with it (perhaps to use it on her son, to force him to return). Now the book is in control though, so Philomena was exposed. The Principal played a long game, waiting for the book thief (or the book itself) to lose patience. What is still unclear is who are Philomena's parents. Her father looked a lot like that werewolf witch, and the fact that they concealed his face suggests they might be the same person. But if Adam is the werewolf father and Philomena one of his three kids who were abducted that would mean the old hag is not their biological mother/grandmother and that Philo is also a werewolf. Perhaps that's why the hag hates her so much. |

| Well I certainly have some questions. So the book was planted on Philo's maid right? Like would she have actually put it there herself? Idk. Philo was feeling like shit because the curse was all coming back to her. Basically by caterpillar boobs was saying to Chise about how if you curse a bunch of people, the curse will come back to you. Still was Philo really cursing all the students intentionally or with malice. Idk... |

| After years of abuse, neglect and torment Philomela's pain finally overflown. It was inevitable. I feel so sorry for her. Calm down there, Eren.  |

| Although she only appeared for a short time, I'm happy that we got to see Silky once again. I'm guessing that the character that appeared before her and Joseph will have an important part to play later in the series, so I'll look forward to seeing that soon enough. =) This episode itself was a long time coming. The slow pace of this arc, which I didn't mind at all, finally got into action with Philomela losing control of herself completely. The stolen book was surprisingly inside of Alcyone, but Philomela ripped the books from the insides of Alcyone easily and went on a further rampage. Rian did his best to stop her, but the comparison of strength was stupidly huge as he was taken down too easily. Eventually, Philomela ended up at the Christmas celebrations, where mainly the students all fainted due to their magic powers being sapped away, leaving only the teachers standing. Looking at her expression, the Principal herself knew that this was going to happen sooner or later after playing her long-game tactic of a while and she doesn't look afraid whatsoever. With Chise and Elias working together, I can only hope that Philomela can be stopped before more harm is done. |

| This was the best episode so far! So many things were explained, I am speechless!!! Love it! And the Animations were amazing! And the last frame of the episode was sooo nicely drawn! I love the concept of the "new" Philomela! |

| That happens when you leave depressive people alone for too long, it was obvious that Philomela has strong issues. She even ate Chise's christmas present which was kind of surprising. Veronica deserved it because of her ignorance and Alcyone did nothing to help her master in any way. Ah, there is the book lol was probably grandma's plan. |

| By the midway point, I love how strange this show is. Every episode feels like I'm watching a dream. Even when "nothing is happening" I'm just soaking it all in and enjoying the experience. Even the episode's intro oozes atmosphere and mystery. A weakened, one-eyed immortal child and a Silky are standing on a winter field, when a black-haired, grey-eyed lady appears, on the back of a masked centaur (?) holding a spear. The lady asks for "the maiden". The Silky covers the child's eyes and shakes her head. Without a word, the lady and the centaur disappear in a storm of crows. It's just so weird and cool. Still, good thing the plot is moving along by the end of the episode, after stewing for so long. Really hope they can deliver on the mystery and the drama, without sacrificing its unique style. |
| Veronica's constant knocking on the door while going off, "Philomela, Philomela.. Philomela?", like a broken record had me dying lol. She's a crazy chick. Would've very much preferred if Philomela succumbed to that form and went off to put her grandma to her place, but okay, she finally seems "free" enough. |

| Aight I'll give them that one, didn't expect the twist that Alcyone had the death book in her, i did theorise that Philomela's increased absence was equating to the longer the uni was closed with the death book somewhere in it, but did NOT expect the end result to be her merging with it. Ngl i was probably as shocked as Veronica was, when Philomela zapped her, i fully thought she was into the idea all along since her character still felt so mysterious, but guess not. On one hand i just want Philomela's suffering to end, on the other I'm also fully down with Philomela going full Fate/SN Heavens Feel Dark Sakura route and letting out all her suffering by creating hell around her and killing those that wronged her, quite literally slay queen. Do kinda hope Chise can pull a Shirou and save Philomela still, with the slim chance she'll get pardoned for what she's about to do next. |

Silky's too cute when she's pouting! Who's this ominously sexy monster?    Really, right out here in public ladies. 😏  She's making friends! Adorable!  Alcyone is going through her own "become human" arc right now. She wants to comfort her master as much as she can but she's too afraid and unsure of her own feelings to take action.  So that's why Philomela's so weak. She's been corrupted. You guys don't understand that when I say I want this bitchmade grandmother whore to die a dog's death, I'm thinking of things that I can't even say on this website. I hate her so much. Fucking witch.  I hate when my parents knock on my door constantly but this feeling of imprisonment must be a hundred million times worse. I don't blame her for hating Veronica and Rian.   |
