Even though the cast is all young characters, this anime is actually aiming at older audience instead of young audience. Some scene is very complicated and I don't think teenager will understand that, just as they don't even understand themselves.
| @phantomfandom I don't know why you decided this show was too difficult for a teen audience. This is an adaptation of a shoujo manga for teenage girls and the theme of losing close friends due to the start of a their romantic relationship is quite close to both boys and girls. Not to mention that the "character realizes romantic feelings for their childhood best friend after they start a relationship and grow apart" plot is pretty typical of anime and manga in general. |

@RobertBobert I refer to this anime in general, not just this episode, but even in this episode there are still some dialogue that teenagers won't fully understand, like, when getting older will have less friends/less time with friends, even if some of them assume that this statement is true, they won't fully understand since they haven't experience getting older first hand yet. There's a big difference between "yeah I know this even if it doesn't happen to me yet" and "yeah I've experience this before"
| Um, but adolescence is broad enough to understand that. I think that girls of 15-16 years old will quite easily tell you that as you get older, you will be too busy with real problems to just spend all your time with friends. Especially during the start of preparation for final exams, which is also shown quite often in anime. I was a teenager myself and went through this phase myself in high school. |

| Well personally I have never had a female childhood friend with whom i am close with so this is foreign to me which just makes it more interesting though I don't like cliff hangers |

| Another absolutely beautiful episode. Uta and Minato’s relationship was on full display this one. I loved the gradual build up to Minato realising he has feelings for uta. Ever since she got introduced I knew this would happen at some point. When you’re that close to someone for that long, it’s inevitable that something changes and things get romantic. The best relationships start off as great friends and Uta and Minato have that. I’m really looking forward to seeing how things turn out with the two of them. You can tell Uta was feeling some type of way when she brought Minato the oranges when he was sick. It’s only been like one day but she already misses him lol |

Another absolutely beautiful episode. Uta and Minato’s relationship was on full display this one. I loved the gradual build up to Minato realising he has feelings for uta. Ever since she got introduced I knew this would happen at some point. When you’re that close to someone for that long, it’s inevitable that something changes and things get romantic.
The best relationships start off as great friends and Uta and Minato have that. I’m really looking forward to seeing how things turn out with the two of them. You can tell Uta was feeling some type of way when she brought Minato the oranges when he was sick. It’s only been like one day but she already misses him lol

I would have liked to ship them, but after the segment with their older brother's social life, it seemed to me that the author preferred a platonic setting. |

I hope it goes romantic, but I feel like they might laugh at the idea of dating each other and continue as friends. I feel like the next episode could start with Minato laughing at the suggestion to date her.
| @Marinate1016 Well, out of the 2-3 shows where I saw childhood friends discussing the idea of romance and abandoning it, in the end only in one show it actually end up as "just friends" and not "we just lied to each other." I still ship them though, lol. |

Yea, I hope it goes that way but the focus does seem to be on the familial relationship and just a single man trying to raise his family so it wouldn’t be too surprising if they stay friends.. for now at least

| @WaffleMaster89 The only thing that confuses me is that Minato seems still too innocent and young for such a rapid development of the romantic subplot. But this is shoujo, so I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple of episodes they're already in charge of the romantic fluff in the show. At least Uta is charismatic and interesting enough to not be the formal love interest for male MC in an all-male show. |

| I do ship them but if they stay as friends is cool too, their bromance is awesome too. Still this was not going to end anywere with uta and that guy, uta would've felt the same way if that guy started to say something about minato or don't let uta hang out with him. Uta would feel sad if minato got a girlfriend and then they stopped to hang out. I highly doubt they will date in the next chapter just like that but it may be open for the future. |
| well duh! that was the obvious conclusion, but minato's too naive & innocent to even consider that he should take over as uta's boyfriend instead of some other guy whose name she can't remember lol but i have a feeling they'll both say "nah" to dating each other, but we'll see lol |

| wow such a great episode! for me it would be better if the stay as really good friends. i just want to see a girl and boy having a good friendly relationship without this romantic crap everywhere. but of course if they will end up together I'll be happy too. and in the end it's good to have a good friendly relationship at first and then build a romantic relationship between partners. they have great connection as friends so maybe they will be a great couple as well. but sometimes it doesn't work like that. we will find out in the next episode :) |

| I know that Minato is just a young boy who still doesn't understand that not everything will became as he wants to forever, but not going to lie, his action is started to irritated me. Maybe because I also act like his way a lot, and I didn't realize it myself, but from now on he is the one I most want to get some real development, starting by this arc maybe. Overall, just like always, they treat everything in this anime nicely, the cliffhanger got me too lol. |

| It was refreshing to see the actual friendship portrayed between a girl and a boy, how instantly supportive and excited Minato got was really sweet. I don't think they should date just because they want to hang out together more. It's totally fine if they gradually develop feeling when they are older, but I feel like such friendship is often overlooked and an example where it's made possible would be really great to see. All those problems and potential jealousy should be solved with finding a right partner who would trust them and accept their friends, not just by jumping into relationship with each other. Especially when they're clearly too young for that or don't even have any romantic feelings yet. |

| Uta and Minato may be childhood friends, though a friend and Mikoto doesn't want to be included in their stint. Uta getting asked out by a guy, that's usually a confession of sorts, but Minato is too blunt to ever see her as a girl. And cheekishly, Uta acccepted just like that, while Minato went with the flow, just like that. And as much as both Gakuto and Waka are watching their plan, asking someone with experience is better, and that relayed them to Hayato to give them some good advice. But with that effect comes Uta not being able to spend as much time with Minato, and he suddenly feels awry, not to mention a fever out of a sudden, all from the prospect that he doesn't want to be separate from Uta. Sure, Uta prepared some fruits for Minato, and that stemmed from the very first day that both of them met and became best friends. But the thing that Minato wanted to stalk Uta's date with her boyfriend to break up their date, he's desperate to do so but without a reason why. Nikaido hitting back that the "what ifs" if Minato had one as well, it would spell hell, just like he did before. The thing is, like adulting, everyone will soon depart from each other, and to Minato, Uta has been his best friends for like forever. Nikaido has a solution for Minato: to date Uta then and there, that's the only way to do so. But will he...? |
