What a pointless topic. Why 100 doesn't fit the harem standards, why 10 is necessary appropriate , who decided it should follow some made-up standards? It's all depends on which story author is telling, there is no hard rules. Point about not being able to decide "objectively" best girl doesn't make any sense, why I can't decide or more importantly, why should I even do it? Couldn't care less about picking best girl, especially in a series with no competition where every girl win. Last is just random opinion, for example I don't find DxD better, 100gf is way more valuable to me.

Feels like a bait instead of wanting genuine discussion.

The parody excuse is really weird. Almost all harems have comedy, and this is no less a harem vs any other one. I think the author should do what he wants though. My biggest problem with it so far is the girls being very bland, and can`t ever can do much outside worshipping the mc. It makes the romance part pretty non existant. I generally prefer romance with more back and forth and a few moments of tough love. The light hearted tone makes it impossible here. I think the enjoyment of 100gf heavily depends on how funny you think it is. That is the difference between seeing it as 100 concubine worshippers of infedility vs a comedy 100 waifu of the week type series.

by parody People mean that the show is just comedy and Never takes itself seriously at all, while shows like highschool DxD and Nisekoi do take themselves seriously for example

anyway it's a dumb unfunny show for the reasons you said ( bland Characters and no romance ), there's no more nuance to it

You're 3 episodes in mate... If you expected the characters to be developed atp then you seriously are as backward as they come

I saw your review and I feel like you should've at least given the series a chance, 3 episodes is not only not enough to judge anything but it's also so little that you judging it already is hilarious

I recommend you stick till the end of part 1 of season 1, if you still think the characters are bland by then, I'd say drop it, but judging a series this early on by how bland it is, that's just judging a book by its cover

I get what you're saying but why are you thinking it a reality? Or comparing it with other harems.
Animes should be unique, that's what makes it interesting to watch or gives people a new attraction. You don't enjoy the same type of story everytime do you?

Even DXD is not real and it was good for ecchi parts this on the other hand does not have ecchi parts. So as none of it is real how can the concept of having 100 girlfriends be too much!
Some of you may think how can the MC Rentaro handle 100 girls when some others guys can't even handle one. Well that is for the writers and animators to think, don't think too much and let them do their job. You just enjoy the show and see how it goes.

You need ambition OP. Can't let some little number get the better of you.

With such a silly (yet somewhat ambitious) premise, the absurdity of it all, self awareness and comedy are what makes the show enjoyable to watch.
You don't have to worry about stupid cliche drama or the MC being dense for 54723 episodes before he figures out (anything) about a girl.
Just enjoy the absurdity of a plot that gives no fucks about previous established rules for the genre
