| Kinda satisfied with the ending. Better than what I expected cuz I thought Hiro would die sacrificing himself and Zero Two would return to her body on Earth. I just wished the writers went on with their squads promise, that they will return back to Earth. After all, they all died without knowing if Hiro and Zero Two would return. And that's just sad. |

| Rewatched this series after nearly 6 years after being present in the shitstorm and chaos it was when it was airing while I was still in high school. I remember being such a huge fan of Trigger before this aired and how I lost hope after being frustrated with this for so many episodes lol. Well knowing the chaos that ensued and stepping away from that for many years, it still sucks but it did not irritate me as much as before, especially since I didn't have hope like when I first saw this time at the start of 2018. It just became such a mess towards the end, and I wish some of the earlier episodes that had either had nothing happen or crappy melodrama be replaced to just pace the ending portion out a bit better, but it is probably not enough to save it. Regardless, the series and the final portion still sucks really hard. Zero Two's design looks really good but looking back at her character, besides episode 13 and saying the word 'Darling', she didn't really stand out much compared to what I would expect. Looking back at how much protagonists like Ryuko and Akko from Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia shined with so much charisma, Zero Two fell really flat in comparison. Design is good but the rest, not quite as strong. Action is fine but not that great either, especially with how much standards have improved nowadays when it comes to action on display. |
| really good ending, nice, feels good man safe to say this anime was far too ambitious for its own good, but it did do a lot of things right. it just often seemed to do them either out of order, or far too jarringly in ways that felt rushed despite being a 2 cour show. it would have really benefitted from having been either a trilogy of movies or just one very long movie, like close to 3 hours. then it could have paced the whole thing in a way which was able to hold the viewers attention and dumped much more budget into important grandiose scenes. would have made everything much more impactful in the end looking back, it seems to have been a great lesson on how to execute great concepts in not-quite-correct fashion. but yeah, it's still a memorable and worthwhile anime |
| had this in my watchlist for years and all of a sudden 6 years had passed. Thought I'd give it a go. Ending was okay but man, it just wasn't in keeping with the rest of the show and it just dropped off. I could've bought it if there was a cliffhanger season end at ep16 and then they came back with the space battle in S2. More character building, more political drama, more Klaxosaur & Human cooperation, more ZeroBlu etc. Shame how this went. I still changed my desktop wallpaper to a Zero Two playlist though. Ep - 4/10 due to pacing and cliche Show 1-16: 7-8/10 Show 17-24: 5/10 Whole show: 6/10 |

| i don't get the hate for this series, i found it to be quite enjoyable yeah, it had some flaws, but i have to say, the characters really did stand out :D |
