For even Fushi himself needn't transform himself anymore as there are no threat or danger that has met him within the past 4 wonderful years. This is a testament to how relaxing and joyful it is for the Old man, Pioran, Fushi, Gugu and Reane were. With Reane's 16th birthday on the horizon, marking a pivotal moment of her life when she will forcefully be married, it too is a pivotal moment for Gugu to make his move. A coming of age story for the man, the chad himself, Gugu. Even the Old Man sensed that and made him a fitting mask with a built-in combustion mechanism because every hero need his trusty tool. Everything is progressing as it has always been for the past 4 years, until the inevitable catalyst arrive upon the distillery doorstep... Gugu's former brother, Shin is here to reconcile with his younger brother whom he had previously abandoned before. What did he expect of Gugu? Forgiveness? Pity? Respect? He shall have none of that, a thief will not have the pleasure of being treated as he hoped would be. Shin's only worth right now is to return the ring and to redeem himself to Gugu in someway, but let's return to the ring for now because that's when EVERYTHING changes between Gugu and Reane! The first real move Gugu made was his accidental confession to Reane 4 years ago, and now as she's approaching his birthday, the master wingman Fushi smoothly yet effectively linked her need for a boyfriend with the mutual affections Gugu and Reane shared for one another. But the most powerful aspect to embolden this relationship is the arrival of Reane's old ring, with that return, she now knows that the boy from the market is the same Gugu that she has known for years. With that, queue the hilariously lovely interaction between them both! I love their chemistry, such a charming relationship and attitude, it honestly warmed my heart up knowing that they both are aware of the other's feeling for them, but a vast obstacle must be scaled for them to truly be a couple. Now the ring has set things in motion, the second and final key is the purple flower, a beautiful flower associated with melancholic memories. Everyone knew of the day Reane was hurt, but it's finally time for the man to spill the truth and it's an absolute chest lifter! Finally... FINALLY!!! Reane has finally found out the real truth behind everything. I cannot help but teared up upon witnessing such a majestic scene, the atmosphere is so mystical, the emotions waft freely through the air and strings of relationships that were previously jumbled up knots are now untied. There is no greater chance for them both to get together than now! But life is never easily for only the most naive of fools would believe in such ridiculous illusion. The episode ended at a literal cliffhanger. Just as soon as everything, utterly everything is progressing perfectly, the cliff itself crumbled, separating Gugu and Reane once more. It's as if the world itself is actively rejecting such perfection to not occur. I've had reasons to dislike the Nokkers before, but to non-challantly ruin the divine happiness that awaits Gugu and Reane, I now despise the Nokkers. |

| When Rean finally understood that it was Gugu that day and it wasn't someone 'hating' her.. man the feels are real and then the episode ends with a Nokker's attack :S |

| if this is how the show is going to be then i'm going to avoid anything else by this crappy writer the whole thing was kind of messy but it was finally wrapped up well enough, with an emotional ending that was ruined just because the writer has to make everyone fushi comes across die in completely unnecessary ways just to send the message about people living on in your memories, which is a cop out the writer seems to just get off on it. 1/10 so far since episode 1, which itself could have been a full length majesty of a movie that would have made the author's point so much more clearly without all the pain porn. |
