That's really funny. Also I find it sad how many people hate the new show for being a slice of life comedy and not being filled with action every single episode when the original wasn't either. Pure nostalgia based off false memories. If you don't like comedy then why are you watching this show, it's clearly not for you.

i still like the show but frm wt ive seen, most ppl just hate the new studio's adaption. the art style and animation is rlly not it.

99% of the hate comments I see is that's there's no action. That doesn't really have anything to do with the art style. Even then that's just a personal preference and not really a critique. People have this false memory that the original was Dragon Ball Z and they hate the new show because it's "not like the original" when they're exactly the same lol.

If someone doesn't resonate with a particular show or genre, it's perfectly valid for them to express their opinion.

Agreed. i gave Season 2 a 6 because i didn't find it as interesting as Season 1 (a 8) and the animation quality dropped but not necessarily because it didn't have any action.

Havnt seen this season yet but as last season goes I wouldn’t say it has to do with the story more the quality of the animation also mal ratings don’t really matter lol I liked the last season but it was clearly under budgeted

I love the comedy slice of life aspects of this show, my problem is the action and plot is too convoluted for no reason in this version, it gives you more questions than answers

also I agree with most of what other commenters are saying- I don't want more action or anything, I just miss the original character designs. I can't tell if the animation quality is lower or not otherwise, it's been too long since I watched the original.

Didn't expect to be better, I mean the Story is a mess, atleast in ecchi or heram animes they have something to make up for the crappy story, but here nothing is happening. Exact reason Spy x Family cour 2 has let down many watcher's - No Story, I mean what the hell Re watch Spectacular Spiderman from Sony XD rather

But that ain't no free pass to belittle others. The disdainful comments usually generalise their opinion on to the masses. In contrast, opinions are supposed to be personal and limited to the individual.

it just wasn’t as funny to me. Tbf I was newer to anime when I watched the first season and I also watched it dubbed instead of subbed so that could have changed some things for me.

Definitely could be. Like I said I have no issue if you don't like because you don't like it, I just think the criticisms are hilarious because it's exactly like the first season. The art style is quite different, but the comedy is the same and the original never had much action and story either. The criticism is from people who have false nostalgia and are misremembering the original as something it never was. That's the only thing I'm talking about.

As for the dub or sub, I mean I personally think the dub is funnier for this one so that could certainly be it. I was also new to anime when I watched the first season and I don't want to switch dubs when I start one. But I rewatched season 1 when season 2 came out and other than the art style it didn't seem any different to me.
