| It was... okay. Liked Tsubaki more than Akane. Wouldn't mind a series with a lead more similar to her in the same setting. I do wish they put more into the gaming side of the story. Will probably forget about this show in a week or two unless something happens like another season. |
| Tsubaki's love and her confession was so beautiful! I felt happy for her to Super glad they didn't over-dramatize the rest of the episode, it conveyed some feelings I've experienced before and it was nice to experience those sweet feelings again. |
| I thought the confession was going to be moved to a later season. Made this feel like a finale. If they're making future seasons, they should absolutely proceed to adulthood. I mean, it does feel like someone's fantasy after all so it wouldn't hurt. |

| I know for myself that the rejection scene with Tsubaki was done by many other shoujo series before and watched them myself, but it really still hurts to watch someone got heartbroken. At least our couple are now official, so good riddance. 6.5/10, good series but not does not have really outstanding elements to the show. I might still continue with the manga. |

| Even when confessing, Akane remained herself, bakadere til the end. Yamada chad with his response. Amusing and wholesome romance, exceeded my expectations. Otsukare! |

| as a romance anime this has failed miserably. but i enjoyed the anime. it was fun. the way they realise feelings for each other was kinda lack lustre, there were no deep emotions or mental battle etc., very poor execution but still i'm happy they got together. the cafe scene was genuinely hilarious, got me good. at the end this was just another romance which ended with the couple getting together and we don't see anything of their actual love life. in the previous episodes i don't think anything much hapepened which can be called "romance". it was enjoyable nonetheless and i'm feeling very giving today so i'll rate this 8/10 (i originally rated it 7 idk why i'm increasing the score). a season 2 would be nice to see them both acting as a couple and progressing in their relationship but well that's not something anime does so i guess we won't get that. |

| Final episode done. The contrast of the rejection and confession were just were well done to also show the parallels. We start with tsubaki (finally find out her first name yukari) thinking she thought love would be fun and enjoyable unlike this. The young experience of romance is something else truly. Also tsubaki without glasses and hair down is so pretty <3 Meeting up with yamad and she pours out her heart everything from top to bottom, the little details regarding his gaming or the little actions with his personality, habits and behaviour, some might think this as some non important stuff but tbh these little things mean a lot especially in relationships and the fact tsubaki loved yamada for such things cements her feelings to be more genuine. Thats why it hurt even more with the rejection and the fact that she knew it was coming. But more importantly glad that it was a burden off of her chest that relieved her and she had no more regrets. I am kinda proud of yamada that he let her down gently as possible and gave her the proper words as rejection for her feelings, a big accomplisment for someone like with that past. Also the fact she couldnt see him properly while all this is happening which was sad and her tearing up but she did see the drawing on his hand and knew it was akanes work cause she met her and relayed that it was the person yamada liked to which for the first time we get the confirmation from him that he does like akane, which again was another blow for tsubaki. i just felt for her so bad at the moment personally since going through a similar phase, just wanted to give her a hug. She kept putting a brave face while tearing up saying shes not that weak and i respect her highly for that but the reality is the pain inside wont stop so easily. Atleast she was happy to have loved someone like yamada who treated her right till the end.  I hope she will heal over this and move on with her life & one day find her own happiness and someone who will cherish her. Shes a great girl imo. Moving on we have a guild meetup hangout hosted by our very own wholesome kamota san, who is apparently a big shot amongs some very rich people which is kinda based and i love hes still so humble & down to earth, looking out for everyone. Ruri was being adorable as usual with her meat love and cravings. Eita still poking around akane about yamada and playing the casual wingman. Yamada arrives finally to find a drunk akane who had too much sake. Cant believe runa threw her in the restroom floor for being annoying but the way she was snuggling with runa was adorable. Anyways eita sends yamada to drop off akane for obvious reasons. The entire scene of then walking from their was mesmerizing, yamada insisting on taking her showing his protective side, holding hands the light vibrant colors popping off quiet music, the little cinderella heels scene with yamada kneeling to put it on for her while akane stares at him and yamada a little surprised, lot of mental gymnastics going there without any words and a bit of tension in the air especially when he holds her hand again gently and leads her on. it was just lovely. Finally we reach home and akane about to say goodbye, but dont know if it was the liquor or her thinking it might be the right time straightaway asks the big question of whether yamada likes her then after an awkward pause with yamad giving a intense stare and akane flustering about, we get the response about getting exposed from him and with the most unexpected smile/smug. I was laughing at it while enjoying it, that was a rare moment in between one of the biggest climax moments.   m uploadThen finally we get the confession from yamada confirming akanes feelings about the vibe she was getting from him. But not only does he confess but reaffirms with her that even if she forgets he will come by and say it again until she remembers it properly and even further when akane has self doubts (Cause due to her past relationship) my boy comforts her with a hug that he will calll tomorrow in the morining as well. A really beautiful confession with the right touch of realism. Next day we see a nice first awkward convo between them. Momo wants to hear the juicy details but also is dejected being the only single girl in the group now, but the fact she also saw yamada akane being a couple because of not akane but yamada being the one attracted towards her. Well surprise surprise. Then we hear from akanes friend that its usually the older one in the relationship who has to be responsible and mature, but akane fails in the approach as yamada is mature himself but also has the rizz to compliment akane and fluster her easily. xD Final scene was cute with them taking baby steps in their realtionships starting with holding hands communication which was cute and then the last scenario with yamadas first meeting with akane with his pov, what was then and how it is now which was kinda a nice touch to end it on. Good final episode to end the season. loved every bit of it |
| The anime wasn't all bad but to be honest it really lacked any depth. If you would ask me why the characters fell for each other I wouldn't know. And I can't help but feel uncomfortable about the fact Yamada is still in school while Akane is already a student. I'm aware their age gap is around one year but it kind of sits wrong with me. I feel like among these two characters Akane is more fleshed out but still got only a little more than one dimension. But except for his looks Yamada falls completely flat to me. There were some interactions (especially in this last episode) that made him react and I know he doesn't have any experience but I don't buy how Tsubaki said she saw him slowly change. Overall it was okay but there are shoujo animes that did this "guy has a I-don't-care-attitdearound him" a lot better while still giving him a personality and make him feel something. In the beginning it might have been part of his character but even at the end delivering his lines without any emotions was a little painful to watch. So I'll give this anime a 6/10. |

| Received little-to-no characterization throughout the season yet Tsubaki managed to give way more reasons to like Yamada than Akane did in 13 episodes. Yep, said reasons still being rather superficial but guess it's better than falling for someone ONLY because of their looks. Very bland romance overall. It was practically your average shoujo story with wish-fulfillment elements about a girl who is a mess falling in love with someone whose only character trait is being good-looking. All very shallow and uninspiring with some cheap drama to make the plot move forward. Now that said, it could have been worse. Yes, both story and romance were incredibly poor but at least the comedy and some side characters made the whole experience less tiring to get through. The chibi comedy made the artificially tense moments more bearable and characters like Eita, Kamota, Runa and even Momo gave some needed contrast and variety to the always cliche Yamada x Akane interactions. And yes, despite her introduction, I gotta say I really REALLY ended up liking Runa. Her appearances after she apologized to Akane were very enjoyable and the twist of her becoming someone akin to a little sister to Akane was indeed pretty cute to witness. 5/10 - By the way, OP song is a banger. Really ended up vibing to it during the last third of the show. |
| I just really like how Yamado was the one who ended up confessing his feelings first lol. Also I really respect Tsubaki for still confessing her feelings and getting everything of her chest knowing he liked someone else, it's not easy doing that and usually when you don't you end up rotting yourself inside thinking about how things might have turned out different if you'd confessed. I love this anime so much and I'm most definitely gonna read the manga now lol. |
