I'm enjoying the story and the dynamic between Yuuya, Luna and the Princess, but man! I thought there was something wrong with my stream when it kept just showing still close-up drawings of grass during the herb collection scene.
It was "ok" in earlier episodes where it was a bit of a slide-show with voice acting on top, but now they didn't even have time/budget to animate any of the characters which is a shame.
this didn't get really interesting until nearing the end when they faced off against the prince and the eventual big bad of the series. majority of the time i just wanted lexia to shut up and be left alone in the castle so yuuya & luna can sign up as adventurers at the guild.
Zaxphred said: visualwise this was a major downgrade in the last part it was hard for me to watch it till the end but the first half was good until they went to subjugate the prince form there it went downhill
Same. The first 2/3 was fine, but I have no idea what was going on during the last 1/3. It was like the anime was on pause but the words could still be heard. I was very confused when things were "happening", especially when the arrow was launched and I didn't see anyone get hit.
Wow, that whole 2nd half of the episode was very rough, huh? Did they suddenly lose their budget? Or are they just focusing everything onto the final episode?
I've been enjoying this anime so far, so such a huge sudden downspike is disappointing. It felt like the episode was just... incomplete.
Idk if it was just me but this episode felt off. Like there were a lot of moments where the scenes just felt really slow and nothing was happening, idk.
Edit: after looking a bit thru this discussion, it seems I'm not the only one lmao.
What happened to the budget for this anime it's like just got drained at the 12th episode I mean the quality was decreasing but it just took a Sharp turn on the 12th episode
its kind of funny how lexia and luna are like barely holding together the whole anime. hmmm
soo the plan(?) is while lexia and luna show yuya around town they also draw attention to try to lure the assassin(s)(?) into attacking them. i mean well, its something i guess, so its not completely without merit
gee, i thought we went enough episodes without the public comments but they're back again, alas.
it feels really weird though, its LITERALLY ep 12 and we get the lol yuya registering with the guild. i mean i have no idea where it takes place in the novel so if its like vol 5 out of 20 it might not be so bad, but eh who knows
luna does bring up an interesting point. i mean its already ep 12 so i highly doubt we'll see any new characters unless s2, but like, bodyguards, hmmm. lexia hasnt shown any ability to actually defend herself so far though
i was about to ask how yuya is able to but i forgor he has the literal hax ability, so presumably it extends to WRITING the languages as well. dont ask how, magik is magik
speaking of magik, luna hasnt actually used any i think? she's just a physical combatant so far. while yuya uhhhhhh tbh most of it is physical as well, but eh, at least we know he has the option to. though i dont think he's used very advanced magik ASIDE from teh convenient teleport
yeah to absolutely NOBODY's surprise, yuya broke the crystal
apparently magic is so rare to the point that even just writing three elements puts yuya, but oh well, i mean, isekai shenangians
its kind of weird because usually the receptionist introduces themselves at the start of the conversation
i wasnt quite expecting the episode to be so uh...carefree, considering how last episode ended, but maybe its intentional
ah yes picking herbs. and how convenient. i mean i dunno, this is dangerous as heck
lots of convenient shots of the plants are convenient....is it really such a big deal for the budget?
anyway convenient mid episode plot twist
one brawl in the dark later, night and akatsuki (kek) are pretty handy in such a situation eh? yuya be flexing his max skills as usual
ookay, i sure wasnt expecting the girl to literally crash this, i thought she would show up next ep but i guess they decided a cliffhanger this time would be more interesting
soo. either something is going to happen next ep and/or the girl is just a small preview and something else will be happening, whatever that is. i mean anything could still happen really.
The animation on this episode feels jumpy. Disconnected. Like the studio didn't have enough time to make the episode properly. I still liked the episode, but didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
It's the 12th out of 13 episode but so far it has the lowest of the low quality this anime has ever provided. This is Millepensee when they did Cop Craft, using still images and sceneries and panning them left and right, zooming in and out then slapping voice overs on top, like telling the viewers "just imagine the scene".
It seems by this point, they are already at the bottom of the barrel of their budget.
This is the most painful anime episode I've ever seen...EVER.
At this point "watching" the MANGA would probably be less painful than watching an "actual episode" cuz of all the random disconnect like "We're going to watch static scenery of trees during this whole back and forth conversation"
I almost wonder if what we're watching is actually meant to be for cd dramas but some self-taught animators just hijacked it or something...
//
That aside, was that seriously the prince? He seemed so bad@ss during his first appearance that I almost thought it was an imposter pretending to be him in this ep until they zoomed into his eye and we saw hints of his weird skin condition.
The other thing that seriously bothered me was when mystery girl was running away it looked like she shot one last arrow after which it looked like the guard (was his name Owen?) was shot but no body else reacted.....Yuuya meanwhile is just standing there like "who was that girl" ...so did that arrow hit no one?
I’m a really undemanding watcher but the battle animations were just too bad, and the random forest scene during the dialog was like wtf? Is it something with my video? Let’s see the final episode.
the first chapter i hated it... the powerpoint animation and makes no sense in the last fight with yuya xD yuya have the speed and power and do nothing?
I knew the magic ball would break when Yuuya was having his magic level checked because its Yuuya we're talking about here. Btw Glena is a hottie that who knows if we'll see again but it sure made Lexia go crazy lol.
The young looking girl at the end, I remember seeing seeing her before in a previous episode when she disabled the white rabbit guy. Luckily (for her) she was low on energy and had to recharge so she bailed. Besides the couple of minutes of landscape views when some characters were talking I thought this was one of the better episodes since the storyline progressed a bit and the prince was captured.
With what I have seen now, it seems to me that they will settle everything in the kingdom on sgte cap, then Yuya will return home, meet with Kaori, and to top it off they will leave an open ending to give rise to the second season, I pray because be so.
The story itself is ridiculous, but good drawing is the only + and then let in clearly half-finished series, the entire segment in the forest just did not have time to draw or animate it just inserted static screenshots of the forest = well, and disgusting people)
Quality jumped off a cliff, so many random scenes as well as the animation was really lacking. I actually like this anime but this episode so really hard to watch

Yes, exactly my feelings about this episode, that scenes were really weird, pure talk and they didn´t know their faces, when Lexia is speaking, for example.
Not to mention the action was rushed in the end, the brother was a villain and in 10 minutes, they showed the reason about why he was tricked....
Really weird episode.
The worst possible part so far. Showing landscape pictures when they talk? Did he really run that much in terms of animations? The action scene was quite lame at the end and the reactions were as if you were getting them from a puppet. In essence, the half part is practically an empty bin.

Good god, they are scrapping the bottom of the barrel with their animation budget. I guess they are trying to stretch things to the last episode.
Frankly, it's disappointing. If they had just balanced their budget better we wouldn't have seen this dogshit. Honest to god they can't even afford to draw the characters for over half the scenes and resorted to generic background stills.
I think this is going to drop my MAL score at least a point.
yeah this episode was clearly unfinished, especially the second half when they started having full conversations over scenery shots and a the battle at the end felt like it didnt flow very well either, we heard action sound effects over still frames.
if they had to delay it a week or two that would have been fine with me.

Are you sure you watched the right anime? Cos that sounds like Aristocrat's isekai adventure one, which btw is still looking great.
As for this episode, I'm glad everyone else saw it too. I've noticed that the angles they've used aren't the best, but I thought it's just a new studio with too few professionals or talented animators/scriptwriters. However, this time I felt like it's more than that. Their budget is obviously running really low, and did their director just quit or what caused this drop in quality? (Not claiming there was much to begin with.)

Yeah they must've either run out of production time or something happened to the artist that was supposed to draw Owen. I'm surprised they were able to get galloping horses with all 3 of em but not Owen talking. They usually draw everything in parallel at the same time so something must've happened. Thankfully rare but disappointing nonetheless. I hope that doesn't spell disaster for the finale.
Luna convincing Lexia to become an adventurer, interesting
guess it's not only Anis the princess adventurer
ah yes, the usual magic crystal breaking lol also yuuya can't touch a ball without breaking something HAHAHA
oh a random new waifu appears
ok lexia is not an adventurer, but she is still excited to fight luna for herbs lol her dirty face is cute too
they found the other bad guy, and so yuuya leaves... i know luna is strong. but would she be enough to protect lexia alone if many bad guys came for her?
ah yes, the only place in the world that the guy could hide from the king... would be in a house that the king gave him? lol what?
that fight was kinda funny, the guy trying to bait them by threatning to kill himself
ofc, when in doubt, let Night defeat the enemies before they have time to react
oh, the girl who wants to destroy the world is here, let's go
her attacks, people thought there were many enemies outside, seems like she can also do some good foresights, knowing where the enemy will move
she was too tired to use her evil power, so the fight was postponed ...
seems like she knows yuuya, i wonder why
then again, everyone knows him :v
one more episode, should have some focus on kaori based on the title
i doubt this will get a 2nd season, but it sure as hell has a lot of possible topics to cover, like this evil girl, the bunny, Kaori visiting the isekai world ... or more ecchi scenes of Kaede LOL and ofc, all the possible stuff about his harem, or the model career
