| Heh, a magic class with a bit of shenanigans. This was an entertaining episode to see how Chise's school life is like. It's great to also see Elias back and taking care of business, in time to make a timely save in that class too. Good to also see Alice and new faces this season. I hope everyone in that class learned a lesson, and that magic and creatures can be dangerous if not handled properly. |

| Chise saving a frail maiden on her first day in college, what a champ, eh .. just don't listen to Elias regarding the compensations for your help, deer dude's always giving the best kind of advices, lol. Hoping that our Chise will slowly be making first little friendships amongst her peers, something she never really had before. JUST DON'T TRUST THE BLOND GIRL, SHE HAS "IM A BITCH" WRITTEN ALL OVER HER FACE. The first day was a success for our heroine ... something we can't say about Elias's first day, lmao. |

| The girl that fainted on Chise's arms, Philomela may look a bit anemic, and Chise gave her some herbs to calm her physical being down. More than Will-O'-the-Wisp taking a liking to Alice, it's overcoming her fears of the past life. The classes begin with Professor Narcisse Maugham proclaiming his greeting, and it's just like any other class setting, but with magic. Elias dressed in his human self to teach magecraft as a proper teacher, and both Alice and Chise are chosen to do a demonstration with Renfred supervising, though in their various ways. And when the other students try out, one engulfed the salamander in anger to almost be eaten by it, revealing his true nature and only to be lectured by Renfred. Though one student of affection, Rian Scrimgeour wants to leaarn from Chise, and the secrets of the magic academy begin unlocking its doors. Good progression, at least for now. |

| Hold up, what? It was 10 minutes long I swear. Elias is looking kinda fine ngl It was really interesting to see sorcerers practice magic. The subtle difference between magic and sorcery is quite fascinating. I really like the music in the next episode preview for some reason |

I mean you see that frail girl, I bet her being that way has to do something with blondie. Elias's cover blew up real quick lol, though that doesn't surprise me much. Now one thing more, some real strange kind of class this is, or more like it's the kids who look that way. |

| The world building was really good in this episode. Did a good job of explaining how magic and sorcery work and just how dangerous magic/spirits can be. Idk why bro thought yelling at the salamander was going to have any type of positive effect lmao. Next week’s preview looks like Joseph is back? And that ending was pretty sinister |

| Welcome to Hogwarts, the College, where magic and sorcery are learned. It was a nice day for Chise, getting accustomed to the school life, and she met a couple new characters in the process. Philomela looked quite mysterious to me, I wonder what her deal is. Students will always be a bit difficult to deal with at times, but they seemed to learn a lesson, at the cost of Elias blowing his cover. There also seemed to be some dark secrets in locked doors, and the mystery builds from here. Episode flew by honestly, and it was quite good. |
| Yea I'm definitely not trusting that blonde chick Veronica, she didn't have much screentime but already seems shady as hell. Elias' class got pretty intense with that kid pissing off the salamander, and his true form was exposed lol. Quite the eventful first day of school. I'm curious on what that cliffhanger was all about 🤔 |

| This was a great episode imo, it gave me the same feeling as many of the earlier episodes, that pure feeling of magic and learning about the world of magic within this show. Very untrustworthy of a few of these new characters... particularly Veronica, and Rian gives off some mixed signals for sure. |

| A pretty good slow-burn episode overall, felt refreshing seeing this kind of setting for this series where Chise can bond with folks her age while her and the viewers get to learn more information about magic and sorcery as well as just the overall world building as a whole, mixed in with a few interactions with characters to build on for the future episodes. Was dope seeing Alice be a big sister this episode too with Chise and helping her adjust to the college, while also being a sorcerer with her own contracted familiar in Will o' The Wisp. The episode was pretty simple but flowed well, and was pretty informative too so solid stuff as a whole. Only negative is that there was a heavy usage of panning shots that did feel distracting at times, and did look weaker than the first episode as a whole, but given the kind of episode this was, by no means a deal-breaker. |
| One heck of a greeting from Narcissist. That and Elias saving the arrogant boy from the salamander were the most energetic moments in this chill episode. Nice follow up. Chises's school visit started off interesting and she already caught the eye of many students(more so than your average visitor would) Theme songs are growing on me |

| Oh boy you know you're enjoying yourself when you loose track of time, episode felt like a breeze. Nice to see returning characters start trickling in, i'll admit i have gold fish brain so i vivdly remember much. Likewise i want to say s1 visuals weren't all that bad, but honestly i'm still excited to see what visuals s2 will have, this episode alone had some pretty outstanding VFX. Honestly didn't think Elise would take the mantle of a teacher at a college considering he's lived a mostly secluded and lonely life, but he did a pretty good job at the explaining part. His practical seems a bit questionable, but kudos to him. |

| After this episode, I'll make sure to never anger a salamander ever again... XD Putting aside that incident caused by the bratty student, this was another chill and informative episode, seeing Chise dealing with the pale looking Philomela and having a decent conversation with her before she parted ways. It's also nice to see Chise and Alice getting along pretty well, too. Elias' disguise was amusing and oddly fitting for him, but thanks to that salamander incident, he dumped his disguise to make sure no one got hurt while dealing with the issue almost effortlessly. Hopefully there'll be more screentime for the other students in the upcoming episode, especially with Veronica. I don't think she's 100% trustworthy at the moment, so it'll be interesting to see in future episodes if she's hiding something or is genuinely a decent girl. |

| Small detail to note in this episode: I don't know if this would be important in the long run, but the contract Alice has with Will'O'Wisp is sort of different than Chise in that, they are not bound to each other in life like Chise is with Ruth, and left some space for each other if they want to back out. Although Will'o'Wisp did call Ruth stupid for binding himself to Chise so easily like in the manga, by omitting to explain the loophole part of the contract, the anime gave me the impression that they are also bound by life, since we as an audience do not know there could be different kinds of contracts. Again, it's a small detail in the manga, but I think it's still important enough that they should have emphasized it in the anime but didn't. It's just a few lines of dialogue anyway, so even more confusing to me why they didn't add it in. Curious if the anime only watchers here also got the same impression or is it just me? |
