| Usui heading to the pleasure quarters to fulfill Isarizawa's request, and the folks over at Chinatown looking for the Satsuma samurai Kurima to settle their disputes with him, it's a grave situation where even a mention could get them killed. Kurima staking on his life to find out why Chinatown is so obsessed with him for the goods that was left of Matsumine, and he's like the kidnapped victim to be tortured without trial, in the presence of the Chinese. To that purpose, the rest of the Revengers assisting from the sidelines, but not killing because there was no bitten gold coin to begin with. The real group that isn't in collaboration with Matsumine, thinking that they knew that Kurima was involved in the opium business, but it was debunked that it was not, and that it's still somewhere within Nagasaki, the plot thickens. |

| It's so annoying when a show sets its own rules and then proceeds to break them. How did that guy manage to teleport behind main character, fuck knows but it needed to do that so the story can progress. We shouldn't really be thinking too much apparently, but at the same time they are asking us to do so. |
| I love the middle episodes that sometimes seem to slowly crank the story forward, so many beautiful details in this show. The Revengers' overt restraint was fun. I also liked the steak-eating fish at the pajama police's matcha party, not to mention that wild-looking monkey. Solid drama in this one. |
| Goddamn lin is a problem. Bro just instantly took out Kurima. Then again Kurima clearly wanted to gather Intel so it’s hard to say just how strong he is without seeing him in a legit fight. Souji such a tsundere. Dude acting like he don’t care what happen to Kurima and ends up being the first one running in to save him lol. At least everyone knows Kurima isn’t involved in the opium plot anymore. But that’s an insane amount to be hiding in the city. |

| So, the protagonist isn't a master of iainuki (quick draw). As a sword is long and heavy, it's hard to draw quickly. Be careful not to harm anyone around you when you draw a sword. right example (iainuki) wrong example (friendly fire slash) |

| Halfway into the series, it seems there is finally some plot development! Finally no longer just gore and villains of the week! And Souji was such a tsundre this episode! I actually had to remind myself this is not a BL when he saved Kurima. "You alive? Say something! RAIZOU!" I think, even a series as edgy and dark as this one, can use a this kind of comedy once in a while. |

| Alright, it looks like we'll be dealing with this stash of opium that is now hidden somewhere in Nagasaki for the rest of this anime? Did I get that right? We've been mostly jumping around to different plots throughout this anime but it looks like we may be sticking to this one. Not that I'm complaining ofc! I was kinda bored in the first half but I thought the second half was kinda interesting, but at the same time idk. That felt like it went by kinda quick and like not too much actually happened. That could totally just be my mind being somewhere else though! |
