Well, if we consider the experience gained... Pikachu is definitely his best pokemon. Other than him, Greninja and Lucario were pretty strong too

Just wanted to start with..
At the start of Sun and Moon, he's 11.

Anyways, I voted Lycanroc, because of what happened when he was a Rockruff.
Would have voted for Mr. Mime, but I consider him to be Dahlia's pokémon before Ash's.
Didn't finish the show yet, but I don't think another pokémon would beat them, given that I only have a season left.

Edit: I voted for best as in, not the strongest, nor the most prominent, but the one that I felt had the most natural journey with Ash.

Ash Ketchum, the protagonist of the Pokémon anime series, has owned and trained many different Pokémon throughout the show's history. However, here are some of his most memorable and powerful Pokémon:

Pikachu: Ash's first and most iconic Pokémon, Pikachu is a loyal and powerful companion that has been with Ash since the beginning.
Charizard: Ash's Charizard was originally a Charmander, which he caught in the Kanto region. It later evolved into Charmeleon and finally into Charizard, becoming one of Ash's strongest and most beloved Pokémon.
Sceptile: Ash caught this Grass-type Pokémon in the Hoenn region, and it quickly became one of his most powerful and dependable companions.
Pokemon White: These are the primary distinctions between Pokemon Black and White. Because it has more Pokemon, White should be considered the best option.
Infernape: This Fire-Fighting type Pokémon was caught by Ash in the Sinnoh region, and it quickly proved to be a formidable fighter with its speed and power.

Definitely Pikachu. It did beat Leon's Charizard after all. As for other aces, anybody from the Journeys Team, Charizard, and Sceptile are beasts.

@RioFS Hey folks,
It's tough to pick just one as Ash's best Pokémon, isn't it? So many great contenders! While Pikachu is undoubtedly Ash's iconic companion, I've got a soft spot for Bulbasaur. Always reliable, ever loyal, and let's not forget that epic Solar Beam!
And to throw a curveball into the mix, I think Goodra deserves an honorable mention. It's not often you see a Pokémon return to the wild and then come back to help out in a league battle.
But at the end of the day, aren't they all the best in their own way? After all, it's the bond between Ash and his Pokémon that truly makes them special.
