Damn, these villains really out there trying to make a point and prove himself, even Mr Compass.

Hell of a way for the villains to make a comeback and Deku looks beat down again from all this fighting. Seeing all the heroes and pro heroes down or injuried was also painful to see. This season is notkidding with how the battles have unfolded.

This long battle is finally over. But who really won in the end? Both sides suffered heavy losses. There was a large scale destruction of cities, countless lives lost, so many injured and even society's faith in the heroes have hit rock bottom. This whole liberation war arc was awesome and sad at the same time. From here, we'll be entering a pretty depressing arc imo.

Finally all of the fighting ends. Everyone is pretty beat up with many heroes and people losing their loves. This season has been so much different from the MHA we were used to watching... I don't hate it though.
Hopefully Deku can get patched up after all that beating....

It's showman Oji Harima's great-great-grandson Atsuhiro a.k.a Mr. Compress's time to shine, and his time starts with the League of Villains at the CRC: the Creature Rejection Clan, annihilating religious people, after their fallout with Overhaul at the time when they were poised to merge together with Shie Hassaikai. The rag-tag villain group made up of misfits like the once-cosplayer Spinner, once struggling to make a living for themselves, now face themselves in the predicament of losing against the heroes. But with Mr. Compress, his escape party is yet to come, and his magic show starts now.

Unfortunately, Mirio cut him short before he could even have his time to impress, and all hope hinges on Spinner being able to revive Shigaraki, which he does under All For One's overwhelming posessed command with the Nomus all coming towards him to make an escape. And as everyone recouperates in the loss that has claimed many lives both heroes and villains, this Paranormal Liberation War is one memory that will not be easily faded over time.

What an end to the 1st half of Season 6, already VERY impressive than everything we've seen so far of the series to date.

In conclusion to the battle: The league wins

This episode was the gorest episode in the season (yet) which I think could have been gorer.

In the end all heroes are injured, dead or eaten.

Compress's determination wasn't as good as twice's but was still impressive.

I totally forgot that today was MHA day. LOL. Well, some backstory on the villains and props to Mr. Compress for standing up for all the villains and Shigaraki. And, finally, All for One woke up inside Shigaraki, and then there was just carnage again.

Damn, that was an incredible finish to the mid-season! When people were calling this arc to be the best ever, I honestly had doubts considering the dip the series had in Seasons 4 & 5 but this is definitely in the top three of the series thus far for me, followed by the Hideout Raid and Stain arcs.

Non-stop barrage of one fight after another, one revelation after another and more importantly, it was fantastic to see devotion and heart from both sides of the party. Definitely thought Shigaraki ended up being too much of a plot device though but I guess you kind of need it to keep the stakes as high as it was. All for One pretty much bossed the entire fight when you look at it from a general POV, looks like he continues to remain the main threat and probably will continue to be so. Deku's danger sense ability will prove to be a deal breaker in the coming arcs, I can feel it.

Really liked how the episode ended there with the ost leaving me speechless by the end. Heroes will have a lot of soul searching and "cleaning-up" to do to ensure the public's faith again, let's see how that'll go. New Op or ED in the episode preview seemed pretty nice, looking forward to the 1:30 version. Going to miss the ED theme though...

Solid 9/10 for this arc, here's to hoping the series won't go back to regression now, lol.

Aaaand that's a wrap on the first part of this season. Quite a good one I must say, the stakes have risen to unprecedented levels with various revelations, losses and lots of damage. Now to wait and see in 2023 how everyone recovers from this. I'm surprisingly looking forward to it.

Wow they actually went back and adapted the CRC stuff that was supposed to be part of last season's butchered MVA arc. That alleviates some of my concerns about how later developments will be handled.

The arc still has like 12 chapters left, but the action has ceased for now, allowing us to see the absolute carnage that resulted in plenty of bloodshed and sacrifices. Everyone is heavily wounded, and I loved that last minute of the episode where it showed the scale of this war's destruction as that OST played. Very beautiful song that added to the emotions of the despair and desperation of that scene. Now we await the aftermath.

Pretty solid ending to the main part of the war arc. Quite the destruction that the villians caused throughout the country which caused many casualties and hero sacrifices. The first 3-4 episodes were the best in terms of quality afterwards it dipped massively, but the events and character developments were just great, so you could kinda ignore it. Well, let's see what the heroes will do now.

Its over. All For One has taken Shigaraki into a forced retreat, leaving behind many comrades whom fought valiantly in this battle. The heroes have suffered heavy losses throughout this whole conflict. Dabi big reveal definitely hurts them all. Endeavor will have to address some things once he's recovered from his injuries. Many have been pushed to the edge in this arc. Deku left nearly shattered, literally, at the end after trying unsuccessfully to stop All For One from leaving. Deku, Endeavor, Hawks, Bakugo, Shoto, Erasure, Mirko, Ryukyu, Midnight, Kamui Woods, Mt Lady, Majestic, plus tons of others along with the Class 1A and 1B kids all contributed to this result. While hero society will be forever changed those heroes I listed stopped it from being destroyed. Not a victory really but they stopped this battle from being a total defeat. Shiggy and All For One were pushed to their limits and made to give in considering Shiggy body wasn't complete. Which makes this battle feel satisfying while teasing the next battle once he's actually completed. This whole arc has been a non-stop thrill ride, not letting up for even a half second. The pedal has been on the floor the past couple months watching these episodes. I've loved what the anime did with the arc, I've loved seeing this arc animated. Very excited for the second half of the season to show even more how things will change.

Damn, they had to end the episode on such a sad sounding OST, didn't they? =(

Thanks to Mr Compress, he gave his team one hell of a lifeline, even if it heavily injured him in the process. However, when Shigaraki regained consciousness thanks to Spinner placing a hand on his face, it wasn't actually Shigarai talking, but All-For-One. The sly bastard had control of Shigaraki, but he initiated a retreat with the help of the remaining high-end Nomu that weren't already killed off.

You have to give credit to Deku and his resolve in not giving up, to the point of using his mouth as a way to use his darkwhip powers in a last gasp attempt to stop the League of Villains retreating, but it was all for nothing in the end.

With that, comes the end of this war, as well as the first half of this season, with the next episode in two weeks time. Dealing with the aftermath of this catastrophe will be a herculean task for the heroes, as well as trying to stop their reputation and trust with the public from going down even further. I highly look forward to seeing how the second half of this season will play out. =)

So this is how the battle ends, Mr. Compress face reveal as he saves his teammates (and he’s a handsome lad lol) as well as finally getting the bit of Spinner backstory they skipped back during the MVA arc in Season 5 regarding the CRC, I’m glad they finally included it here although I don’t think it was that great of a flashback. And after Spinner puts one of the hands back on Shigaraki’s face he awakens but not as Shigaraki, but as All for One, I did like the design used for their fusion, he looked pretty scary and cool. And that results in the villains getting away, which I figured would happen after everything that’s gone down, and then we’re left seeing a bit of the aftermath of the battle which was indeed massive on the heroes’ side. The insert song there was nice as well.

And looks like this ends this war arc, and the first cour of Season 6. It was awesome most of the time, really enjoyed it every step of the way, there was pretty much never a break in the action except for flashback scenes here and there which I also appreciate. My biggest issue with this arc tho, is the lack in art and animation in some parts, of course it’s expected a little bit but it just seemed pretty noticeable to me this time, especially during that one Bakugo development episode which imo was the worst episode so far. And I know people have issues with the generic blue sky, I don’t really have an issue with it but I wish it would change sometimes lol, I would like if this fight had stretched to the late evening to give us a different sky, that is a very minor gripe tho.

But besides that, I really enjoyed this arc and Season 6 so far, really looking forward to the next cour and arc next year for Winter 2023! The OP and ED of this cour were absolute slappers as is the usual with MHA OPs and EDs, I hope the next ones are killer too, that may have been a sneak peek in the next time segment of this episode, if so it already sounds good.

Dang what a bitter episode. No one really won this fight, everyone's hurt beyond repair. So many innocents lost their lives in this battle. And for what, for a failed attempt to change the world. The faith in heroes is now lower than ever. The league of villains, despite their loss in numbers I can imagine more will rise for Shigaraki. He has now made the closest attempt to destroy the heroes.

So that's how the arc ends? It feels a bit contrived. Looks like from the preview of the next episode, the image of "hero" has taken a decline but well, let's see how the show handles this compared to the few times the same concept has been handled previously in much shorter lengths.

Finally the end of the Paranormal Liberation War Arc.

I am absolutely pissed that they moved up that flashback of the League to this episode when it should have been in the LAST SEASON. It feels so forced and not nearly as impactful when they reveal how low they were when they were living in that house NOW when they should have done this character building like forty episodes ago by now.
