Pacing was tragic, about an hour could've been cut and nobody would have noticed. The parts about the biological dad and Uesugi's childhood friend were just confusing, should've been cut as well. Also at the beginning when the bride talks I clearly heard Yotsuba, not sure if I was imagining this or it was really her, would be a very odd choice to spoil the bride right at the beginning. I liked the ending but the rest was pretty average. |

I have a question Q: Does they mention the reason, why yotsuba want to be different than her sister, anywhere? like on ss1 or ss2. In manga: I know it is because she shock from futaro misunderstood her sister instead of her when they were a child. But do they mention it anywhere on anime |

Watching this movie was a weird experience. They had to cram a lot in to get to the ending, and in that sense it felt really rushed, yet at the same time the pacing absolutely dragged and it felt like a slog to get through at points. In that sense, this is a pretty bad adaptation in much the same way as season 2 was. The difference, however, is that season 2 adapted the best parts of the manga, while this adapts the absolute worst. When I rewatched season 1 and watched season 2 after reading the manga, I was able to see the foreshadowing for the Yotsuba ending and it was very clearly planned from the start. However, that being the case doesn't actually make it any better in execution or concept, as Futaro and Yotsuba have no real chemistry in the present day despite their past connections and those are basically the core of her victory. On top of that, we get my two biggest problems with this stage of the manga: first, not enough is done to show that Futaro and Yotsuba actually have any romantic chemistry in the present and so their relationship still feels forced and unnatural; second, the fact they're all still obsessed with him and haven't moved on by the time of the wedding feels seriously insulting to all four losing Quints. All in all, this ending is one of a number of reasons why I largely loathe the childhood friend archetype and the whole "past promises" thing that so often comes with it: a past connection is not a substitute for present romantic chemistry. 5/10, bad adaptation of the truly terrible manga ending. |

-"Did you win?" -"Yes." -"What did it cost" -"The whole development lol" Even as a Yotsuba fan, this felt so fucking forced lol, they have 0 chemistry Nino got done so damn dirty. Besides, the movie was too long. So much unnecessary stuff, bloat. Doesn't even feel like a movie, just a too-damn-long-episode. |

The movie was rushed. Many thing weren't explain well and lacked some bridges between skips. That the major reason I cannot give more than a 8. Anyway, the last 30min of the movie were worth and beautiful. A shame that they didn't did do one more season and finalize with the last hour of the movie. They could do it for sure and then with slower pace and more explanation maybe, maybe we could see a 9. If you like the anime and didn't read the manga is worth it. |

Season 2 was a solid 8 for me, this had the potential to a whole grand finale but it felt like that only in the last part. It's still the prosecution of a good story, so it inherited some qualities, but instead of adding more to that, it comfortably stayed on the same level, with weaker moments, luckily balanced by more emotional parts with a stronger storytelling. This results in an 8 again, a good result but still a lot of potential wasted, it could reach an 8.5-9 if it was more consistent throughout the whole duration, but eventually stuck to 8. Several times I watched movie sequel of TV anime and I gave +1 to the score, and I hoped this would have been the case as well, this is why I am slightly disappointed. Fuutarou old friend and sister's biological father popped up from nowhere with few screen time and 0 impact on the story, so at this point better using that screentime for other scenes that were rushed, for example the part before the timeskip, where Yotsuba talked with all her sisters, which has so many cuts that it was hard to fully understand what was happening. Probably a full 3rd season would have fulfilled the big improvements that were missing. Beside that, it was still a pretty emotional run, it got me I must say. It was still hard to believe just one has been chosen, considering the unique chemical Fuutatou had with the sisters as single and as a whole, but It felt like the story grown up from a shounen boy fanstay to a mature romance who takes its responsibilities with an actual decision. It still hurts to see the others fail, but the narrative solution of the flashback (Yotsuba being the first to encounter Fuutatou and giving him the motivation that changed him forver) made the outcome more acceptable. It was painful but necessary, it made me really sad for them. Miku is my favourite and I rooted for her, but somehow I dealt with it. The last 20 minutes were perfect, it was the final packing of the story, with the sisters having been through more development and personal growth but at the same time keeping some of their trademark personalities, as individuals and as a group (one last game / let's stay all together, even in the honeymoon) which was part of the essence of the (manga/)anime. Definitely a conclusion that leaves a bittersweet feeling in the heart. |

Man, I really felt that when Nino was crying being held by Miku after she told her his selection was over... As an amine-only viewer I still had a pretty good time but after learning they had enough content for at least another season or so, kinda feels bad. Idol Nino was ❤️❤️❤️ |

Ok this was totally unexpected for me. The background sister who probably has the least personal development and in her relationship with Futaro wins. No really, Miku and Nino were the most popular by far with the fans (me included) so I thought that would be one of them. In short Yotsuba is a good girl but nothing justifies her being the chosen one in the end. |

One of my all time favorite romcoms comes to an end, what a great movie. The opening scene at the water park was awesome, I wish we coulda saw more of it lol, that was some premium swimsuit fanservice to start out with. The entire school festival arc was really nice, love how each girl got their own dedicated mini arcs with Uesugi, call me biased but my favorites were definitely Miku and Ichika’s bits lol. And man, the moment of truth where each of the girls went off throughout the school in separate rooms and let Uesugi choose was the moment this really started to feel like the finale, very heart pounding lol. And I’m sad to say I already knew who would win before starting the movie because I got randomly spoiled back around Season 2 airing, but it didn’t stop it from being a fantastic moment. Yotsuba is not my favorite, but I’m still really happy for her because really all the girls in this show are amazing, and after seeing more of Yotsuba’s backstory it helps show that she deserves the win, really loved seeing Uesugi chase her down and have that moment with her. And I’ll say, even tho Yotsuba won, this movie was incredibly satisfying as a fan of Miku and Ichika, every girl had amazing moments and at the end it still showed all of them spending time together with Uesugi, so in a way they all won. It does surprise me in 5 years none of the other sisters found other love interests, but maybe that just shows how strong their love for Uesugi was, the fact they can all still chill together is a wholesome way to end it. Yotsuba’s wedding was really nice as well, and having Uesugi pick her out of all the quints looking identical in wedding dresses was a nice touch, it also gave us great final moments for each girl. Also I’m jealous of Miku and Nino’s cafe lol, I always thought it would be cool to own one so that was really nice to see. And the only things I have to complain about with this movie is the stuff with the quints’ biological dad and Uesugi’s childhood friend. The childhood friend ended up being relevant at least but the biological dad stuff felt a bit forced to me, like unneeded drama. But besides those negatives it was such a good movie, it felt like a super long episode instead of a movie tho, which is one of the reasons I think I would have preferred a 3rd season, but still absolutely loved this. I hate to say goodbye to the Quintuplets but this is the end, been following this series since Winter 2019 so it is heartfelt lol. I definitely plan on rewatching from the beginning soon and I’d also love to read the manga and see what the anime skipped. |

Yotsuba should not have won. This should not have ended like this, I am fully going on pure spite. The three viable choices in my opinion were Ichika, Nino, and possibly Miku, cause of the rooftop scene, in this order. The story was too fast-paced and their relationship going into this movie was at the bottom in every possible way (romantically), compared to her sisters`. Until this movie, we have not seen more than once that Yotsuba likes Uesugi, and that one time she played off as a joke. The bit about their biological dad deserved more time. The animation was great, the visual storytelling was amazing, and conveyed very well the emotions of the characters. Some will say that it could have been better but what we got was pretty good too. The future designs of Ichika and Itsuki could have changed a bit. I don't mind Ichika`s not changing cause at the end of high school she has already realized what she wants to do in life and is already doing it, but Itsuki`s should have been changed more than a pair of glasses. She basically looks like her high school self with a different outfit. The voice acting was great too. I liked it and don`t have any complaints I can think of about it. |

Just got back from the theater and MAN... That was quite an ending! I've been anime only this whole time and the wait was definitely worth it. So far the ending makes sense but I can understand everyone being salty (myself included). Definitely go see it in theaters if you get a chance, the banter we had after the movie was pretty dope. |

Yotsuba is the lucky one let's goooooooo!! Best girl did it! Kinda makes sense why she was the least developed quint by the end of S2, and everything came full circle with this movie. This was a pretty long movie, but it needed every single minute of it. This would have been better as a S3 that fleshed out some things better like the real dad plot point, but it's not a big deal for me. Overall I was satisfied with the ending and where each girl ended up at the end of the story. Was very satisfied with Miku's growth the most out of the 5 despite my Yotsuba bias. It's been a fun ride and I don't regret watching this show at all. |

Was doubtful on this weird flashforward/dream premise, but pretty sold by the end with decent arrangement. Good it's not all 'dream', got some important backstories, old side cast, and mcs development. Seems the 5 what-ifs can actually all happen, and each segment reveals shared events gradually, like the burned takoyaki stand, and how Yotsuba/Miku etc reacted separately. Quite interesting directing like seeing new layers of the same onion. Sister Nino with worst relation to dad Nakano. Great how mc pushed to mend their relation. Nakano very cold aloof, but shows 'sneaky' care like giving Nino some tools. lol right behind dad's back, talk about boldest sis. Miku mediated the warring girls pancake vs boys takoyaki factions lol. Making pancakes a compelling plot point & her life goal is quite a feat. That osananajimi was funny. Big character development from Yotsuba's childhood wanting approval as the best, to being the busy supporter, nice how it ties with many plot points. But Fuutarou's choice of Yotsuba contradicts everything of her new supporter personality. That was some date in da hood. Itsuki they're kinda funny together just silly banter, and that rando mouse lol. The whole sudden biological dad Mudou was weird, lots of unanswered questions. Timeskip? That's some nice career paths, and wedding trolling. Not sure I agree with his choice but it does match his original 'Rena' admiration & it's quite a well made film. |

But there is one sad thing.... ***If you didn't watch the movie then don't touch the 'Spoiler' button otherwise you will regret*** Yotsuba won in the anime too😭😭😭😭, the studio didn't change the ending of the Manga, I was expecting an AOE but it didn't happen...My favorite Miku didn't win😭💔.. And I just see Yotsuba as the anti-thesis of the entire series' main goal, which was to have all of these characters break away from their past ideals like how the idea that none of the quints could do anything better than the other sister, as Yotsuba is the only character that is stuck in the past, both with her feelings for futarou and her idea that all her sisters deserve to be happy over herself, and yet somehow futarou falls in love with this girl over any of the other sisters how? bc she was the childhood crush? There was absolutely no reason for him to fall for Yotsuba over let's say Nino - and no I am not a fanatic Nino-loving nazi, the girl I thought should have won is Itsuki - who does everything she does better, and so much more. But still it would've been a great thing, but idk if I would say would've been the best harem show of all time, just would have been one of the greats, but it fumbled the bag...BrewderMagno said: Lousy ending, worse than the manga, all super rushed. First of all, my girl didn't won but that's not gonna affect how I enjoyed or disliked the film, I read the manga so I know what is going to happen. I would have preferred if they just made this a 3rd season instead of a film. The what if scenarios for each girl was nice giving us some back/side stories of the girls and the Nakano's in general but I felt that it was rushed or cramped just so that they can fit it into a 2hr film. Great character development there for Yotsuba which she didn't had much in the two seasons. This is one of my favourite harem romcom series next to Love Hina and Yotsuba was only my thrid girl with Miku on top followed by Nino but I do accept that she was the one chosen by Futaro. I did enjoyed the movie overall so I'll give it a 8 out of 10. And CR was giving away random shikishi cards when it screened here in Australia. It's supposed to be one per ticket but for some reason they gave me two, what's even good to that is that I got my girl Miku and my third girl Yotsuba shikishi borads. |

after watching the movie, It feels like the author chose the winner based on who fans would predict the least. I feel like the author wanted to troll us!! btw, I have a question. Why should Futaro choose one of the girls as his bride? I don't remember Futaru making such a promise with girls in the previous seasons or having romantic feelings for one of the girls. Did the girls want this from Futaro or was it another reason? |

What a shame. Even the accessibility is quite difficult to get ahold of in my search to watch the eng dub at all of my nearest theaters during the weekend. After the opening Week 1 showings, it seems they pulled the plug on a normal schedule for both languages. Not even Belle had anywhere close this bad of a disappearing act for audiences when Quintuplet showings are available on selected random weekdays. This is my attempt at a rewatch on a bigger screen after a disappointing experience that not even the great 5 voice actresses from the original cast can salvage. I was at least hoping for an on-screen 5 quint musical number since my 8.5 rating expectations were shattered ever since the original 7.4 rating and it being a crammed-into-one movie from all the early viewers and predictors. Can't believe I'm saying this but I seriously would have rather watched Dragon Ball or One Piece despite not having any sort of consistent binge with either of them. At least avenues would've been opened up even with the spoilers. |

fabistat said: THE WORST OUTCOME POSSIBLE WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU CHOSE HER THE WHOLE CHARACTER DEVELPOMENT OF YOTSUBA WAS FUCKING HALF A MOVIE MIKU GATHERED THE STRENGTH TO CONFRONT FUTAROU IN 2 WHOLE FUCKING SEASONS AND NOTHING NINO TURNED FROM PURE GARBAGE DRUGGING HIM INTO BEING BY FAR THE MOST IN LOVE WITH HIM I WAS SO HAPPY AFTER THE ENDING OF SEASON 2 FOR THIS PIECE OF HOT GARBAGE, BIGGEST FUCK UP IN HISTORY OF STORYTELLING AND ANIME ENDINGS, I'M NOT MAD BECAUSE MY FAVORITE ONE LOST IT BUT YOTSUBA IS BY FAR THE LEAST INTERESTING AND HER ONLY DEFININIG TRAIT IS THAT SHE IS THE DUMBEST OF THEM ALL LIKE WHO WAS THINKING THAT IS A GOOD ENDING AFTER 2 AMAZING SEASONS FFS Nah Nino was the first one to properly confess her love for him which wouldn't have been easy at all to admit due to how much she hated him prior. She overcame her biases and swallowed her pride in the most direct manner possible. Nino should have been picked. |
