The issue isn't that you're missing some deep, compelling reading of the series that causes all these people to love it, the issues is that you just don't like it that much, and that's completely fine! For me, Bleach means a lot. On one hand I have the nostalgia and 'connection' with the story and characters from it being one of my first anime. This definitely helps me overlook some of the flaws Bleach has, of which there are admittedly many. On the other hand, I enjoy Bleach more or less exclusively on it's surface level. For the characters I know and love and their interactions, and the great fight and conflict scenes we have. It seems like it just isn't for you. So instead of wasting your time trying to approach the series from several different angles to 'make' yourself enjoy it, just move on and find something you do actually like. |

| Absolute insane episode this week. Just the announcement of Ichigo being on his way to help the Soul Society lifted the dark atmosphere by quite a bit. Right when Quilge wanted to start his attacke he just gets killed. But by who? The red shimmer of that attack which cut him in half, reminded a lot on Urahara's Benihime, but as surprised as he was it can't be him. So who's left? I have some people in mind, but can't pinpoint any of them. Hopefully we get to see it next week. Such an depressing part with Byakuya. When Nödt was talking about Byakuya feeling fear towards him, I repeated word for word what Renji said shortly after. From there everything went further downhill. The Quincies not only being able to steal a Bankai, but even use it is crazy. Renji got sent flying, when he was about to activate his Bankai. Rukia got inured in the try to get to Byakuya. It seems no matter how hard they try, they're no match for the Sternritter. I also think I've never seen Byakuya so defeated. Please let him still be alive. Zaraki's first real appearance and it instantly makes you laugh. He just casually kills 3 Sternritter and challenges Yhwach the moment right after. What a beast. The shear amount of despair in Ichigo's voice, when he finally realized the seriousness of the situation for the Soul Society gave me chills. Morita Masakazu did such an outstanding job, my god. Not in a million years had I expected that Sasakibe had such an outstanding and strong Bankai. I loved the little backstory between him and Yamamoto. We never really got much of his character, but this gave so much more weight to his death. What happened next was just ridiculous and made me shake my head, because I couldn't believe my eyes. Not only did a furious Yamamoto burn Driscol within in instant into nothing, he's now also making his way to begin his slaughter on the Quincies. The way they animated those scenes was magnificent. I now understand why people were talking about "peak Yamamoto".   I can't even imagine how amazing Yamamoto vs Yhwach will be. The 2 giants on each side are finally clashing with each other. |

| Bleach might not be stellar in terms of writing but the weight this season has built up over the years, the quality of its production and the sheer amount of hype and stakes presented here make this a potential shounen masterpiece. |

| It's such a pity that Byakuya was defeated like that. Kenpachi still a badass killing 3 Sternritters with simplicity. It's also nice to see Sasakibe's Bankai got animated and his backstory about his dedication to old man Yamamoto. Finally, a cliffhanger on the confrontation between Yamamoto and Yhwach. Looking forward to the next episode! |

| We got 3 mins of recap last episode but now we jumped straight into action. Studio Pierrot needs to have some consistency here. 6 chapters in one episode is so full of content, I would've really like if they slow the pacing down a little but I can't complain since bleach just finally came back and I don't want it to be as slow as one piece. Byakuya getting defeated with his sword shattered was hard to watch. Dang, old man Yamamoto unleashing his wrath gave me some chills, looking forward to him vs Yhwach. Sasakibe's backstory was kinda nice addition in contrast to the intense fighting scenes. Kenpachi is still a beast, I was hoping to see more of his fights just like before only to be stopped by the enemy's leader. What a cliffhanger tho |
