| Seeing them all perform together certainly was a treat and kind of a surprise as well. It was an audition, but still wasn't expecting any kind of performance until later. So beautifully animated as well. |

| Bocchi just gets more and more precious each episode. Also I think they used cgi for that concert but it was so well merged in that I barely noticed until I thought about it hard. Its great to see how far cgi in anime has gotten. It seems the best progress of it has been from music anime like love live. |

| I swear to God if MP100 S3 was not airing this season this would have been an easy AOTS for me. This shit is so fcking good! It really makes you feel that this is why we watch anime. The crazy and expressive animation combined with random real life scene inserts like when Bocchi was puking lol. I like how the manager knows Bocchi is a good guitarist I loved the whole segment when Bocchi was having her inner dialogue and scenes were changing throughout until the end of their performance, speaking of their performance, When Bocchi started thinking she wants to shine but this time not just her but with her band and suddenly went ham on her guitar catching the attention of Ryou and Nijika made me proud, she is having a steady character development! Keep the episodes coming! |

| Great cig during that performance and the exaggerated expressions mainly from Bocchi continue to amuse me. In fact, every episode they go even beyond with her reactions and their corresponding animation. Good shit. |

| This show really is quite impressive. I really like how inventive they are with the art styles and direction; it really adds to the some of the jokes/gags. I liked the effects when Bocchi was trying to figure out how she was going to reach a quota of bringing five people to their concert (and she was already counting her dog), and I think I laughed out loud at the cutaway to the various dams in Japan. Also, not for nothing, the title/lyrics to the song were something else. Overall, they took a rather simple, but charming property and created a thoroughly enjoyable anime. You could not ask for more from any kind of adaptation. |

| That was fucking awesome! I've read the manga. It's okay. But five times every episode, I think: "How did they take that average manga and turn it into this fucking brilliant show!?!?" Anime of the season and it's not even half over. |

| I like them in their casual clothes, so stylish. Not sure why this isn't more common in most shows, but they should dress characters like they would dress in real life. Ryo and her Ampeg bass amp just sounds incredible, my favorite bass tone. |

| late to the party, but these episodes keep coming out amazing. i love the attention given to fleshing out the side characters; it just feels so damn real. While i'm a fan of shows going over everyday life, most of the charcter dynamics in that genre seem static and tropey. But in Bocchi the Rock, we have both Nijika and Ryo serving as fantastic characters that just play off the characters and environment really naturally. They are the backbone of the show. Ryuseishun said: There's an identity to our main group beyond just the cute girls' gimmick, they stand out much more as individuals here, which is made more apparent with the highlight on Nijika this time around (HOLY HELL THAT EXPRESSIVE AND FLUID ANIMATION IN THAT ONE SCENE WITH HER, just encompasses her entire character without needing extra words or whatnot). Also caught that scene! So damn good, replayed it 3-4 times. As a side note, it's been too long since i sacrificed my sleep for pretty much anything. It was 1:20 AM where I'm at when I started watching the episode and 1:17 AM as I'm posting this. These episodes fly so fast that they starting to go backwards in time xd |

| If this episode hasn't hooked any doubters of how great this series is right now, I don't think anything else will. It was really impressive! =) As usual, Bocchi's expressions and thought process had me laughing, with the biggest laugh with how CloverWorks used clips of IRL dams as she threw up on stage after the band's audition performance. XD Of course, the audition performance itself was a showcase of how much the group have improved so far. The typical cynics might complain that it's taken five episodes to get to some actual music from the band for a music anime, but their impatience simply blinds them from the bleeding obvious that seeing the band slowly, but surely improve and showcase that improvement with their performance has a far better AND more satisfying payoff. Going by the reaction of this discussion thread as a whole, the vast majority would agree with this. The production quality during the performance was great, with constant fluid movements. I'm certain that CGI was used for some character movements (and the instruments, of course), but ignoring the CGI haters, I think it was well integrated into the animation overall. Very impressive indeed! I do look forward to seeing the band perform in front of a crowd now. The only obstacle now is the ticket quota, but I'm sure the girls can clear that hurdle if they work hard enough. |

| man this was such a great episode. best one till now hands down. loved all of it. this week's been such a banger. we are getting great episodes in all the animes airing right now. laughed a lot this episode and got teary-eyed during the concert when Bocchi started going all out. she's starting to understand that she will have to get over her fear not just for her sake but for the whole band's. it's so nice to see Bocchi forming bonds with everyone. everyone is so nice too. the dam part though lmao. it was so random made me lol. onechan is a little tsundere haha. the performance wsa excellent. i'm sure it's gonna be even better during the actual concert. the new challenge is to perform like they did in audition in front of many people. | Kita could sing AND play the guitar, which shows a lot of progress from the most inexperienced band member. It was no surprise that Bocchi would be good with her guitar, but I liked how everyone noticed the change of atmosphere. Everyone did their best and I was on the brink of crying, seeing the successful performance and positive emotions. Seika is terrible at finding the right words and doesn't even notice it "now you know what kind of band you are" = you passed. Or "Kid, I see you' lol wtf. This was all too much for Bocchi, the poor girl vomited on the floor. I really hope she can change into a less pityful person, after five episodes most of her problems hurt me. I don't mind her staying awkward forever, but at least with a little self esteem. This episode was very powerful and lifted the anime to one of the better emotional shows this season. |
