| Maze - the plan to kidnap the child emperor and use the underground maze to escape. Compared to the OVA, they've added quite a few new scenes. Let's see how the kidnapping plays out in Reinhard's favor. Next episode title: The Die Is Cast. Surprisingly, this episode only adapts a part of episode 37 of the OVA. The rest of that OVA episode's content should be in the next episode of DNT. OVA episode 36 was last week's episode of DNT. I also believe that this season won't be enough to get to where part 2 of the OVA ends, as there's another 17 or so episodes remaining, so they will most likely stretch this season out and episode 48 will be Phezzan Occupied, and S5 will be the continuation of Operation Ragnarok (or they stop part way through like they did for S3&4) |

| I think the Boltik guy - was nice. Don't remember the old OVA version of him anymore though. But the face design and voice acting - nice. Also Kessler looks nice. Nice that he is getting screentime in this arc. The dialogue with Oberstein was great - where he hinted that he happily would give his life for Reinhard. |
| So they kidnapped Erwin, finally. I remember seeing the scene on the opening for last season and thinking "was this so soon and the story??" and no, it took 16 episodes to get here lol And yeah, I was thinking we don't have enough episodes to get to the end of S2 of the OVA, which is a shame. I was so looking forward seeing that! I hope and pray we get a new season announcement as soon as this one ends! |

The kid is extremely angry. What did the teddy bear do to you? Good thing the maid passed out, she would’ve been another innocent victim caught in the middle of conflict. |
