Think about it, what redeeming qualities does this anime have besides being able to relate the the biggest losers on earth ? This show is basicly wish fulfilment story for self loathing losers who completely relate to its main character.

It’s hella entertaining if you make this a drinking game. Take a shot for every cringeworthy moment and you get hammered by the end of Episode 1.
Yes, it is wet dream fulfillment. Let’s not even try to deny it anymore.
Is it entertaining? More like guilty pleasure and nowhere near the masterpiece most adamant defenders try to make it. It’s just shit. But people like it so it will continue to sale.

I wanted to see Mamis downfall 😊🤞🏻 I hate her sm shes one of the worst anime characters like yall broke up and now that hes potentially getting with another girl and is surrounded by femals now ur going into crazy exgf mode , also Kazuya is so cringy at times and sometimes disgusting but this show is hilarious

I liked it cause it was funny and the idea of it and the waifus. I agree that it does downhill later cause of the MC which I hate him a lot but I am fine with anything else but the MC is such a down fall. I also dislike some scenes where they both fail at talking to each other. I really understand why people hate it and I see why.

This is my first time type typing on someone’s post but I just finished this show 1st and 2nd season on the 24th after I had dropped the 1st season at the 2nd episode because it just didn’t seem like my cup of tea. Even tho I have watched plenty of anime like this this was honestly a decent watch genuinely entertaining to me in many ways and was a truly enjoyable besides the cringey amount of money my the mc spent on the the main lead

The theme of this story is that you don’t need to be anyone special to be able to be there for someone in a relationship. Kazuya is supposed to be unlikable and Chizuru is supposed to be very likeable. They’re foils of each other but you don’t need to be anyone special to be there for someone, you just need to be there. You could say Kazuya’s sole redeeming quality is his tenacity to help Chizuru, to be there in her times of need, and that’s enough. Many men put women on a pedestal and I think Rent-A-Gf aims to disillusion those people.

It's one of the shows that are cringe as hell but when you pull through it becomes enjoyable because you're just mocking the mc for his stupidity.

By the way I didn't pull through. I unfortunately lost my ability to enjoy the cringe dropped it halfway through
