And that wraps up the early-streamed episodes! Really nice, almost self-contained little start to the series. Looks promising.

The car chase scene was weird but I generally liked the overall feel of the show. Will finish the rest later when it's out.

Nice bait, champ.

There is no bait, it is singlehandlely one of worst anime ever made. Almost bad as Ex-Arm but atleast you laugh and enjoy Ex-Arm unlike this

- Terrible Art, No frames, No Budget
- Terrible Direction
- Terrible Voice Acting (English)
- Terrible Characters not single of them likable
- Terrible Plot
- Forced Plot
- Terrible Story
- There isn't any cool details. It is so empty.

I geniunely want to understand what people even liked about this anime? There isn't single thing you can like.

Its always the dudes who vote some creepy ass animes with little girls highly that come in and shitpost xD

I really liked the first three episodes, it had some wild energy, the vibe almost reminded me a little of Gurren Lagann kind of. Good animation, wild music choice. Its only 10 episodes so I will probably binge the whole thing later.

Really liked it, even it was censored version. Will binge watch it tomorrow :) Even makes me install Cyberpunk again, to do some netrunner build.

There were quite a few weird cuts direction wise but I think that could be down to the censorship they put in for the Twitch. You know, a man getting eviscerated in a car accident is fine but you can't show anything too sexual.

Guess we'll see tomorrow. Imagine I'll rewatch those first 3 eps in it's native audio.

the first paragraph has nothing to do with the criticism. he may say its trash but dissing him isn't gonna change his opinion.

people can hate on this all they want, i fucking love this so far its pretty damn enjoyable. i think its a little too fast for my taste though, maybe cause it was edited down for censorship but ill re-watch it tomorrow. this seems promising and I hope it doesn't fall flat on its face half way through!

That perfect representation of in-game vehicles physics in that car chase tho!

So far it's enjoyable. Better paced than most anime out there and so far no "anime bs tropes". Enough to make me watch it which is rare nowadays. Just hope Trigger doesn't fuck up the ending by making some convoluted final arc, because that's the only thing they've been consistent on their shows

David is part of a gang now and they are called CyberPunks while he declined the scholarship of his school

and that car chase scene is just standard wacky sakuga animation from Trigger so dont complain much about it dudes

Rewatched first 3 episodes in Japanese and it was miles better than the shit I watched on Twitch. Much better quality, no atrocious english dubbing, no cut scenes. Damn. I'm never making a mistake to attend a watch party again.

no bs anime tropes?

Main character does this because his mom died like most of shounen anime in existence lmao.

Most shounen route would be protag changing his whole personality to "I WILL AVENGE MY MOTHER". Here, it is just the kickstart of the story. Writing so far is good.

The gore didn't feel very "gorey", rather more on the side of stylish which kinda reduces its impact. Also, Faraday finally made an appearance which is good. I will watch the dub just to hear Gioncarlo voicing this character.

Saying this again, but this anime would be so much better if they timed the music better. The pacing is pretty fitting for a series with an aesthetic like this.

Not a fan of David or the story yet but the car chase, as bizarre as it was, delivered some entertainment for me at least. Stuff has just been happening all over the place in the first 3 episodes. If there's one thing I can give credit for, at least binging this feels like a nice change of pace compared to everything that's been airing recently with its presentation and pace. It's flawed in millions of ways but it's not just the same, old, same old, as what I'm getting from most of this Summer season.

So guys who Lucy invited to her house weren't really bad guys, even though first impression could imply something else, especially for David.

But what's more important... woah, those action scenes were poetry! :D

Going back to the plot, David made a decision at last about his future. He must've really enjoyed life of a cyberpunk.

No objectively it doesn't have good production values, you just watch wall for 2 minutes because studio didn't had budget to animate some scenes.

It has top notch production value. Nothing will change that even if you watch a wall for 20 minutes straight. Watch the whole show, it has great animated fights/scenes. The slow scenes dont matter because every anime has those even animes from MAPPA.

Is weird that in-universe someone doesn't know to to drive, like last episode Lucy and David had a joyride on the moon. So a racing simulation must be cheap.

Compelling and fun, it's always nice to see Imaishi be restrained by a more down-to-earth script, and without the usual cosmic anime battles his work usually falls in to.

They easily could've gone the lazy route and shown the tyger claw crashing into the truck off the road off screen somewhere, simply exploding, or some other vague method of demise. But no, they went through the effort of showing his body ripped in half and absolutely trampled underneath every wheel of that truck. Sure this story is a fast-paced one with nothing special to it really, but as pure spectacle? Rather phenomenal

It i nice to see something new instead of seasonals which give a little bit of new stuff but it feels like it is watching the same stuff again, won't say it is bad or good but seeing something different like Cyberpunk it is a fresh stuff. Did enjoy the episode and I appreciate CDPR for adding not only songs from the game osts but also completely new one. It was a nice touch to hear a Polish song in the background at the end of episode. Here's the song if someone didn't notice/paid attention:
