you should read prunus girl, that's a good manga talking about trap, better than this.

Interesting anime about a dude who gets forced into cross-dressing but the anime itself was alright. Not normally my type of anime.

Although I feel it could have been like a normal 24min episode.

I could not wait who knows what from this latest episode, but the hope is the last to die, oh well! Nothing sensational, an open ending, even on this harbored different hopes, now seems to be a classic of all the anime series. A tip for those who want to see it: watch it only if you want something different than usual, or else avoid starting it.

I finished this when it was airing.

I really wanted to like this show.

But considering almost every episode was almost sexual abuse of the MC, I couldn't.

Shit was fucked.

I watched this because I thought it would be really funny, but no, it wasn't.

I would gave this a 7-9 if the Student Council didn't exist or if they cared for Hime since the first episode. I hate 18+.

I liked this show because it was ammusing in itself, but also it got me to read ALL the Himegoto manga, and obviously that was more satisfying character building wise.

Also bought the pillow.

Terrible. Inoffensive runtime, but everything was fundamentally rotten. Many manga do this "cross-dressing guy in girls school" plot better (and the school isn't, which makes the show even more ridiculous). Unsure why this certain one got adapted, but what I do know is that it's a huge waste of time.

I'm really breaking my leg here by giving this show a 7, mostly for the good animation and the pacing wasn't bad either. So it gets a plus on the technical level, but that premise was hard to swallow for my tastes.
I like me some ecchi school anime, but then it should be creative and show some decency. And guess what this show was lacking. Anime like that kinda feel more like a feitsh than banking on a niché and I'm not just saying this out of homophobia, but rather the opposite. They gave all the crossdressers female voice actors and just like Hoseki no Kuni's "unsexualized" characters it doesn't work the way they say. If you give a crossdressing chrarcter a female voice actress then that character is just female, no matter what you try to make everyone believe. However they still tried to push their feitsh and it didn't work. It's god the show was so short, because I wouldn't have been able to sit through this sharade for 20 more minutes per episode. So, in the end it was just not my cup of tea.

Well, it was my first heavily focused trap anime really.. Encountered them before, but it wasn't the main thing.. It was.. an ok anime.. Could be better, though.. But for the first, I'm satisfied, I think.. But also kinda not.. So.. I'll think about score, might change it in either way..

I originally started to watch this from a JonTron meme I saw and I thought it was about a gay boy who cross dressed. Turns out it’s not that at all, but is actually about a boy whose parents traveled around the world ranking up debt to multiple people and end up making their son pay for it. People were going to sell the boy for sexual pleasures for people who have trap kinks. Then the student council saved him, but when they found out he was a dude, they basically forced him to join the council and continue to be a trap. They would harass him about it multiple times. Then during episode twelve he tried to stop some other students from peeping, but ended up getting taken advantage of and molested. The student council girls hid behind a bush and watched it happen. Thankfully when he was saved by someone else, he came to his senses and left the council after realizing that they were absolutely screwed up. 18, who was the one that was truly in fault, thought of replacing him instead of apologizing. As the trap walked home, the peepers grabbed him and attempted to molest him again. Luckily, the council was looking for him and came at just the right time. They then cried and apologized to him, and I’ll admit, it felt good to see them so upset after seeing what they made him go through. In the end, 18 didn’t even apologize and he rejoined the council. I think it would have been 10x better if he would have said something along the lines of,”I cannot accept your apology after what you’ve made me go through. I will not rejoin the student council. Please, leave me alone. Thanks for saving me from those guys this time, but they might not have come back if you had done something about them last time. Goodbye, and I hope to never see you again.”

In the end, it was an alright show. It could have been better, like an anime about a gay boy wanting to cross dress. I would have liked it if there were a season two which took place after episode twelve and episode three never happened. This anime is actually the reason why I created a screwed up meter because of how many moments were just so messed up. I rated each one, and the highest it got was a 8.6/10.

Overall, I give it a 3/5 on the enjoyment rating and a 6.5/10 on the screwed up rating.

I am so glad this series got an anime adaptation, the manga is fantastic. This series was the first Trap focused anime I have seen, and it set a good example. I mean the plot is predictable and the characters are shallow (what do you expect from a 13 by 4min episode show o_o) but it was overall a great show, seeing everyone interact with each other in motion rather than drawings (not saying the manga drawings are bad, because they are quite the opposite). 7/10, purely because of its length, putting it higher than that would feel unnatural.

What a beautiful message sent to the anime community. People need to take Himegoto much more seriously considering its deep philosophical ideas.

Joining the student council once again isn't a good choice on Hime's behalf. Though it is what it is.

10/10 anime.

Did they really think that they could cover such a serious topic in just two episodes?
Why didn't they decide to keep the ending light and fun?
Not all finales need to be dramatic.
That was a real shame.

It started off similar to Hayate the Combat Butler then it quickly became a non-stop trap ecchi. Even though I am a trap appreciator, this anime was absolute ass ngl. 4/10
