Nah, it's trash. I think you could potentially enjoy it if you shut your brain off and go in with 0 expectations. I've read the manga to know that nothing will happen in the next 12 episodes with the MC being a waste of oxygen and endlessly simping over girls that he has toxic relationships with (minus Sumi). I'll follow the comments sections because they're ultimately more entertaining than the actual series.

Shame that there's not much to offer this summer in terms of anime.

show is better then most of these children on here say it is and it ain't for the fanservice which is why they said "watching it for the girls", won't claim its a masterpiece buts it's definitely not trash, so sick of hate on animes that aren't some action packed fight fuel show, there are plenty of good romantic comedy slice of life animes that are great for the laughs, the stories, and the overall concept, people need to broaden their pallet when it comes to anime, some animes can even be peaceful good for the soul type animes, if idiots that only want the same repeat style anime had their way then the everything would be gone

The animation is really Good, the voice acting is amazing, the character design is good, funny situations, just the story goes downhill after 200+ chapters, till that it's awfully good.

As someone who watched this show on the day of its release, I really enjoyed this new harem. And this is a lot better than DxD.

WISHED I COULD ALSO GET TRANSPORTED TO A WORLD FULL OF MAGIC And DUNGEONS, please take me there too if you could (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡

I’ve enjoyed the first season and look forward to seeing season 2. The characters are likable. It’s a romcom, so the episodes are fun and silly, and the animation is good.

I haven’t read the manga, but Kazuya and Chizuru are cute together and I’m rooting for them. If you feel this or any anime is garbage then don’t watch it, but if you’re interested then watch like 3 episodes and then decide if you want to waste time with it.

I like ecchi, harem, romantic and drama. And I don't think that Girl for Rent is garbage for girls. I'm a guy, that hated anime for his life, but after watching Yosuga no Sora(incest anime with cute loli sister) my world changed. I watched about 100 anime titles for 4 months in pleasant rush. I'm from Ukraine, so sorry for bare English.

I really thought the first season was okay, not great but enough to make me look forward to a 2nd season atleast. Talk about the characters, they don't really annoy me that much. I hate Mami but I don't know why some anime fans can't figure out that just some characters in any fictional story are just made to be hated. The MC is a douche but I'm expecting some character development. Not too positive about that though because I've noticed the manga readers don't seem to be happy about it.

It's trash, just call yourself a simp at this point, kid. The writing is mediocre to the point where tumblr fanfics are better. So many coincidences or conveniently timed events just serve to prevent the main characters from communicating properly and ultimately just lets the author milk out as much content as he possibly can. And when the characters actually do communicate, they have the communication skills of grade schoolers which just milks this garbage to the max. You talk about repeat style anime but this one is just as guilty of that.

Characters are also so poorly developed and portrayed. Every single male character in this series only exists to think with their dick and endlessly drool over the main girls when they take a step outside. Literally every time they step out, a random passerby has to comment on how hot or good looking the girls are as if its the only thing on their minds. If you're a male character in this series who's not in a relationship, you're also automatically rendered as a loser. Interesting. All of this is so mundane and repetitive that if you took all of that out, you'd only have about 20% of the series left.

Now, the girls. Written ultimately better than every single male character and actually have some depth to them all while still being trash (except Sumi). For this reason, I'd get why you may only watch for the girls but even then, the only thing that keeps people watching this series for them is ultimately the fan service. I'll tell you now that nothing happens in terms of plot progression over the next 200+ chapters of the manga.

So how do you keep selling poorly written trash with no progress? You make sure your art is so good that the fanservice brings the horny crowd in like hotcakes. Main girls in a cute outfit? Sold. Beach episode? Sold. The main character's pathetic imagination of himself sleeping with the girls? Sold. The art is the one thing I can commend this series on, but its the only thing that keeps this trash relevant. Have a good one.

I'll watch it because I like the art style and the aesthetic of the show. I wouldn't watch it just for the girls, there are better female characters to look at.

Kazuya is a legendary bruh moment. This new season has my favorite arc, which is going to be fun before it gets to one of the most boring and trash ones. Chizuru is a obvious reason to watch the show develop somewhat lol. Ruka gets lowkey a little too much hate, I understand she is needy and annoying, but isn’t that something that can be considered a really cute flow. Mami is a great villain, until you find out her true reasons in the trash arc. Yeah that’s about it.

No. That's not the case. It's a poor show with a loser MC and garbage writing that frankly only gets worse based on what I've heard about from the manga. If anything Rent A Girlfriend does NOTHING to prove itself as anything remotely broadening-of-the-palette material. The basic brown haired girl wins, as usual, and the anime MC is as always an anime MC. There's hardly any poignant exploration of insecurities or characters in this show, and aside from Mami almost being an interesting antagonist its conflict feels forced and repetetive. It's not a good show.

I just find the complexity of the relationships and the drama interesting. I don't really have any waifus from the show. Although I do like Ruka in personality. The only reason I see for people watching in spite of them considering it "garbage" is that they have nothing better to do with their time and like watching/ reading shows they don't enjoy for the sake of complaining. On top of the fact that it's a popular series and they want to weigh in their opinions.
