| The text bubbles kinda serve as a punchline of sorts. It is also easy to take the ridiculous in manga/anime and think it might be more normal in that universe. The bubbles help keep our understanding of that universe somewhat grounded. That is my understanding/reasoning at the very least. I might be wrong though, so tag me if you have constructive feedback. |

I'm not asking anybody to justify their love for this series or whatever, just expressing my own inability to have a positive experience with this show. 22 and it’s a entertaining show. It’s wholesome and it’s a switch up from the Normal degenerate main character who wants to see the main girl nude. The quest for someone else then the main character to get 100 friends and the care to give most of the side characters screen time is appreciated. By no means is it perfect and i wouldn’t say it gives much room for creative interpretation, but it is entertaining and has solid quality. I’d give it a 7 to a light 8. Dude, it's a Slice of Life. How many SOL MCs act the way you described? You're confusing them with stupid ecchi fantasies. Tadano is as normal and common as it gets in SOLs. I find the side characters to be positively appalling with their sexual-predator behaviour. I pointed this out in a previous reply, but the whole 100 Friends shtick is pointless, since everybody already thirsts for her like crazy. The fact that she's being pushed as an 'underdog' despite being the most popular girl in school makes me laugh. All in all, the show had a decent premise and MC/FMC dynamic but the execution is god awful imo. The only saving grace I see there is the animation. |

| Demographics is one of most irrelant things in anime categorization. Shounen, shoujo, josei, seinen and kodomo are manga demographics. Anime has two general: Daytime for general audience and late night for adults and otaku. The second division could be for adult males and adult femalas. |
