Are you seriously comparing on of the best chapters of all of aot, with GOT season 8? Broo, just go and dwell to titanfolk

Yeah the allies reasoning makes no sense. Its just bad writing like the final season of GOT

I understand you may not like layered characters but the alliance's contradictory and hypocritical behaviour is EXACTLY what's being addressed in this ep, and will be in future ones.

i'm so proud of connie's development this season. we just seen him offering falco, a child, to be fed to his mother and now look at him, killing his old friends so they can fix what's wrong. i love this series so much because of the way all the characters are written and developed perfectly.

we got to see annie's titan animated in cgi, i didn't notice anything wrong with it. i was super hyped seeing her and reiner transform together again, it felt very nostalgic to the earlier seasons.

only two episodes left.. i'm guessing a certain scene will be in the next episode since i've read the manga.. not ready for that one. honestly i'm just not ready for this show to end as a whole :(

How cute, Connie and Armin allying with Magath, Annie and Marley to kill their paradisian comrades who they've grown up and fought with. The impact an overnight stew can have on your decision making and allegiance is truly underrated. Oh well, it resulted in the best scene of this episode yet I still dislike that moment.

MAPPA didn't even show Kiyomi grabbing Floch's arm to flip him on the ground while he wasn't looking, only the aftermath. They can't stand the Floch slander from Isayama, bless 'em. That whole moment is devoid of logic anyway, Isayama writing yeagerists to be the dumbest jocks alive.

For a show that has really lacked any contrivances for almost it's entire run, the Yeagarists stand out like a sore thumb. I mean really these guys have all grown up and trained and fought together their entire lives but ONLY Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, Hange and Levi have a problem with what Eren is doing. It just doesn't make sense.

Okay, but i'm surprised that you invalidates and dismiss everything "good" about him just because he's lunatic as you said. Kinda childish if you ask me. I see you do this thing a lot of times, so yeah, youre not even telling that youre in massive confusion like i did when i analyze Mikasa, youre just simply expressing that you think certain character is something and refuse to elaborate further, so yeah, i really should stop taking you seriously since you just not worth to take seriously. Adnan can do better.
very lovely fight I say. Too polite for spicyness.

Reiner and Annie's transformation scene looks terrific!

As expected, almost half of the episode is spent on talking, apologizing, more talking. Does a build up lead to anything in this season?????? Last episode ended in the same way, too. Something finally happened but guess what, when there were only about 10 minutes left before the ending song plays.

We get more depth of the characters yeah sure, but at the cost of 2 boring episodes in a row

I honestly don't mind them. It's their opinion and they're entitled to it, but I mind the tone. Some people just explain what they hate, others want to convince you with their opinion and make it sound like everyone who likes the show is dumb. They basically provoke fans to get a reaction.

Probably my favorite episode so far this season. So happy to see Annie's hot titan finally unfrozen and kicking butt with her taijutsu moves. She is not the best looking girl, but she is the best looking titan.

War is just so sad. When Connie and Samuel are arguing its left me crying. I cant imagine how people in Russia and Ukraine killing one another when both countries spoke Russian, some of them consider their neighbour country as brothers.

Who is right? Who is wrong? I wonder. But one this is for sure, in war everybody lost.

Absolutely loved the scenes with Armin, Connie, and the two Yeagerists. The tension when they're pretending to be on the same side was insane, and the moment Connie decides to kill them made my jaw drop.

Imagine being told back in season 1 that we'd be cheering for the Armor and Female Titans vs a bunch of scouts.

the concept is pretty great so far,It's just build up for It's climax chapter 130-131 and this season is the best for the story and adaptation imo, even previous eps when people just talking bitch about the tree the dialogue itself is superb.

This episode was so tense and has such a scary atmosphere, of what might come.
Armin did a great bluff, i wonder that the plan went that far tbh but they still managed to get the place, but now i wonder how much was already destroyed by the titans.

But for sure nothing beats the Conny & Armin scene, those 2 guys had their own vision and it was such an intense moment, damn!

Eren's thinking is lacking in complexity because of his lack of awareness of other human influences over his suffering as well as unwillingness in the parties of the story to understand their power in a sociopolitical context together.

I doubt Eren, or anyone in his world, really understands how the real villain behind this is class/hierarchy. To fault him for faulty thinking there seems a little disingenuous, but still, I agree. Genocide is still always bad. In this case, I feel like Eren was forced to do it, adding to his character, but not retracting from the horror of it all.

ngl the animation in this ep was pretty inconsistent like eren's forehead wtf

Connie moment hits hard! the irony, bcs Sasha saved Samuel in S1 (ig), but now connie killed him. And connie used to be the one who always go against the thought of betrayal (belthloldt, reiner, onyankopon, eren) now he he get to experience that himself.
I just cant-- this is so cruel.

Yeagerists are clowns, they were always depicted as such in this series, even in the battle in shiganshina they were worthless and had to release the avengers for those to actually help Eren, because they themselves couldn't do it.
And that's a bad thing. Isayama spent 10 years showing both sides of every conflict properly, and then went on to depict one of the main sides of the final conflict in his series as absolute fucking buffoons, both when it comes to their capacity and how they are shown aesthetically, it was even worse in the manga. From an old lady humiliating Floch to avengers charging in heavily controlled enemy territory and well if it isn't obvious what's going to happen next, then you haven't been paying attention where this series is going.
Samuel and Daz were a cheap addition in a cheap attempt to create a cheap drama for the sake of the illusion that there is an actual struggle between our old heroes, but they're insignificant background characters, nothing else. Because Isayama didn't have the balls to create an actual divide, a schism between the actual characters we were following for 4 seasons, can't have Mikasa kill Connie after all, that wouldn't look good. Instead all of Eren's friends are on one side, and that is the side you the viewer is supposed to support and cheer on. And if you're on the other side - you are watching this anime wrong, STOP, you are not supposed to support the wrong side, stop watching this series wrong, it won't end well for you.
This was a prime avengers episode, i don't like the avengers, 2/5.

These last 2 episodes were pretty meh, heavy dialogue episodes, and the dialogue wasn't that interesting for me either but I already expected this, AOT started going downhill fast after the rumbling (it was slowly going downhill before the rumbling too), to top it off the faces of the characters looked weird in some places, I know this will be fixed in the BD version but in the TV version, this was a bit distracting.

I give these last 2 episodes a 2.8/5, the episodes are not horrible, they are simply... meh.

All in all, it's still a decent season, no way in hell it deserves the current rating though, I still wished it dethroned FMAB since FMAB is the most overrated piece of crap I've seen but too bad that crap won't be dethroned in another decade, oh well, whatever.

I give this season a 7.5/10 so far, it's decent, but I haven't seen anything to make me go crazy like the previous seasons did.

“gladly” is the wrong word to use here because conny screams in anguish at what he’s done, clearly regretting that he had to do this. Eren would not do this. Eren would be proud of himself. And anyway these are the antagonists for a reason, why are you mad that they’re opposing eren? That’s their job.

Also genocide is wrong, but in some cases, it’s justified, like a certain character from Land of the Lustrous, that character is 100% justified in wanting genocide, but eren has no justification. His own stupid actions in Liberio are what caused the rumbling to be his only option left. He had plenty of opportunities to stop and take another route, but he didn’t, he kept digging a his grave until he had no other choices but to use the rumbling. Liberio was the final nail in the coffin for peace for all of humanity. Genocide wasn’t forced on him, he made it the only option. Because he’s a psychopath, and he’s a greatly written character for it.

Most people where? on MAL? The episodes and adaptations pretty much got similar scores, just with smaller sample size for manga. No exponential improvements, with exceptions albeit, same 119-ep3, which i myself enjoyed the adaptation of, although i still have my gripes. Or are you talking about general hype surrounding it?
Also, whether most manga readers really did enjoy the adaptation better is irrelevant to my point. The adaptations of those episodes definitely could be better, much better when it comes to some of them.
