It’s fine. Most of the hate is from people who are waiting week to week for the translations to drop and are salty that their past year’s worth of real time only equates to a few weeks in the story And thre has t been a ton of development in this most recent arc. I read 1-210 all at once and have only been weekly since then and i haven’t had a problem with it. Sure it’s slow but it hasn’t been any kind of dealbreaker.

So if you carry on from where season 1 left off, it will be fun for about chapters 50-90 with some funny and cringe scenarios, and then about 100-150 I would say is good cause it covers a really solid arc and it actually made me cry at one point. then 150-190 just goes back to the funny and cringe scenarios which would be fine if we didn’t have an actual good arc before it where we saw what this series could of been and then they go back to the meh/bad bit.
Then around 190+ is the “final arc” which was good at the start but then a theme started to recure. At the end of almost every chapter there would be some kind of cliff hanger and the next chapter would not deliver on this by just having some anticlimactic conclusion to it or just ignoring it and running away from the problem in general.
Then there is the chapter 218 incident. Which basically just throws away any sort of development we thought kazuya got. And now we are probably 5-15 chapters away from the end and unless it changes drastically it’s not gonna get much better.

So in conclusion, don’t read this shit. Watch season 2 and if you really like it and it’s finished by then. Binge it in a week rate it a one and never look or think about it again.

I’d say read it some and dont feel bad if you drop it. Read what you want and if it hooks you keep reading. If it doesn’t then there is no shame in dropping. I was hooked on Magi and dropped it after getting pretty far.

Please don’t read this manga, the beginning in the anime is okay as well as a few chapters after season 1, but the rest of the manga is basically just repetition where the beta protagonist tries to do something, fails, and gets depressed.
This repeats for 200+ chapters and there is no development, despite clear opportunities (movie arc). Check it out if you want but I didn’t enjoy it

The anime itself was basically just a classic harem plot, so if you liked the anime, you’ll like the manga. The manga also has more story, for example the movie arc, so I would say manga is worth it if you liked the anime.

As a weekly reader of the manga I really enjoyed it. My only complaint is the latest arc, which has been going on for over rhalf a year now has been drawn out. I would definitely give the manga a shot, either start from the beginning or where season one ends.

If you want to feel disappointment, then yes, it is worth it. But being absolutely serious, there are some good volumes, especially these right after, where anime ends. Recent chapters are getting worse and worse in my opinion. Also it is kinda boring already after 220+ chapters, with absolutely no character/story development.

I don't think you should read it , just stick with the anime it will neglect most of the trash from the manga and provide you a better version of story at least that's what i think .
