| Nope, not that I know of at least. It's just easy money. Also, it ensures that everyone has seen the content that the movie covers, so they can watch the Red Light District Arc without getting confused. That probably wasn't their intent though. They could've easily just put the movie on TV. So yeah, it's probably just because they want more money. |

But a few other reasons are that a few people did not have access to the movie and this made it more accessible for them. Also, anime usually do this to make it watchable in the long run. Like when people want to pick this anime up 5 years from now they much rather watch all the ep than hopping between movie and ep. But all of these are small reasons. The primary reason is to make money by by reducing efforts. Honestly, I didn’t mind it I just wish the next arc is not extremely small because of these episodes. |

This anime was made into a weekly scheduled to TV series for all those japanese who couldnt watch the movie due to tickets being sold out, corona or any other factors. I dont think they are trying to milk this series cause they movie already earned more than 500m dollars and this TV anime profit cant even be compared to it. The only way how I see it is that they are trying to make sure more and more people watch it and get to know kny just for future projects. |

It seems like most everyone in Japan knows about Demon Slayer's film, but there are plenty who aren't in the loop both overseas and domestically. By redoing the Mugen Train arc, fans will be able to enjoy the entire story through the TV series alone, and this will benefit fans in the coming years. Films aren't as accessible as anime TV series, so the redo is forward-thinking to those fans in the future who may not even know a movie exists. If you watch a lot of anime, you notice that movies are non canon and usually wrap up a series if they are canon. You can't go tv-movie-tv like that. They had to do the episode series if they wanted to continue the story. |
