I see, it seems very ambigious and open to interpretation. Normally I am not the biggest fan of ambigious endings, but if its done right Ill def enjoy it,. Dont waste your time on 1999 version, its not too faithful to the manga, except perhaps the 1st chapter. But everything in 2011 version is better imo.

Its on my watchlist, apparently the ending to NGE is non canon. But the movie justifies it. Oh and I see that you have both hxh 2011 and hxh 1999 in your watchlist. I recommend watching the first episode of 1999 before completely moving onto the 2011 version. For some reason the 2011 version lacks the introduction of an important character in the series. The 2011 version is a remake of the 1999 version. Not going to shove the concept of watching the most influential shounen manga/anime of all time down your throat, watch it when you get bored of shounen as a whole and want to move on to something slightly different.
