THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This post will have heavy spoilers...read on at your own risk. It is a movie discussion so I don't really see the need to /put/ them in spoilers. The movie was amazing. If you are a fan of Aikatsu!, you will love it. The story revolved around Ichigo and her super live show, and it really is her movie. Akari is given some lip service, and almost every character (even Splash and Hikari) make cameos, but it is all about Ichigo. The movie actually is very plot driven. This isn't some filler movie. Unfortunately, there was only one new song (kagayaki no etude). It was a pretty good song, though... Anyways, the most important thing of the movie was that Ichigo finally surpasses Mizuki (for real). After her live she takes the top spot on the Aikatsu ranking. There is a really moving scene where Mizuki basically says that it is now Ichigo's era of Aikatsu, and Ichigo passes on those feelings to Akari too. The whole secne is playing with an instrumental of Shining Line in the background so it is really /symbolic/. The animation was amazing...we even got a full concert performance of at the beginning of the movie that was like 4 minutes. But mainly my favorite part of the movie was seeing the old cast back in action. Ichigo, Ran, and Aoi have by far the best friendship dynamic in Aikatsu, and it was so nice to see it again. Yurika was also hilarious...She got a lot of funny scenes. This really felt like a real bookend to S2 and the still in a way unresolved Ichigo chasing after Mizuki storyilne. I wouldn't be surprised if we never got this much focus on the original cast again =[ (I saw it raw so don't get mad if I messed up something~ lol) |

Pretty much perfect. Should be 10/10 but there was one shocking scene which makes it 9/10. The moment Seira appears, all the cosy S1 atmosphere gets shattered by the memories of the messy S2. Luckily, it was brief and the DreAca casts actually did very well. The OP sums up the movie perfectly, so nothing to add there except Mizuki was actually good. Still, I should not have needed to pause the movie to watch 2 minutes of Kuroko headbanging (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nW5CapRMkGQ) before continuing. |

I'm at a loss of words with the movie. It was one of the best Aikatsus since its debut. Ichigo being Ichigo. Honestly, Ichigo has such great friends. It showed here just how united these girls are. They may all want to be number one in the Aikatsu rankings, but these girls all make room in their schedules just to help their bestie Ichigo. That's one of the reasons why I adore Aikatsu. Every girl is such a hard working idol, passionate and caring. Aoi/Ran are such amazing friends. Ichigo is lucky to be with them. Besties in other words. Akari is also a great friend to Ichigo, actually going out to look for Mizuki with no guarantee of bringing her back, kudos to her. She also joins into the encore performance. What really made this movie amazing was the stalling. Ran/Sora/Aoi all going to great lengths just to make sure Ichigo gets her dress was truly outstanding. Not only that, but they were climbing with heels, they are lucky not to have fallen down. As for the performance, would have been nice to see Ichigo debut her Starmiya Festival with Signalize instead, followed by Calendar Girl, but that's just me. Overall she gave one heck of a show. Seeing Mizuki admit of feeling afraid of seeing a new era(Ichigo era) was quite sad. I've never seen Mizuki on the emotional side as she's been shown to be reserved. It was great to see Mizuki one last time on stage, and share her feelings with Ichigo and Ichigo's chosen girl to surpass her, Akari "Sunshine". As to where Mizuki will go. Most likely she'll still be in the Aikatsu career, being probably a producer or designer. Despite the DreAca girls not being well liked, they did one fine job, especially Sora. Yurika was hilarious here. The scene where she's chosen to count money lol. They even show a scene of her counting money with her hair down and with glasses, love Yurika. Let's not forget Kaede, the stuff she does alaways amazes me. Arriving to the meeting at night by falling off a plane and parachuting down a parachute with lights. Johnny-sensei admitting he called Ichigo, Starmiya, and Ichigo not remembering. Ichigo being Ichigo lol Well, it was worth the wait. Been waiting months to see the movie and it didn't fail one bit. 9/10 in my book. Would have liked to see the first OP/ED in the performance. |

When I saw the movie, I went kind of overboard and bought a lot of the goods at the theater (I was like...odayaka jyanai!). There were clear files/folders of Ichigo, Aoi, and Ran. Their autographs are written on the back. There was also a set of Mizuki/Ichigo/Akari, but I didn't get that one. The rice scoop thing is a pen. Then there is a cellphone charm. Then I got a...towel? lol but the design was cute. Then I got Akari's premium dress cards for the Aikatsu game (everyone that saw the movie opening day got them). I haven't actually opened anything XD. I don't want to get them dirty if I use them D: |

Just watched the movie. And man... do I miss Ichigo in the series... Ichigo is just so much fun. (sheds tears) And I am glad Ichigo wore Purple Dress for the Final. Cause Purple is my favorite color. Ichigo looks extra Cute in it. ___ ___ ___ Every girl is such a hard working idol, passionate and caring. That's why I love most anime Idol series. Cause they always have cute girls and all are passionate and caring. Unlike RL... man... RL Idols always tries to kill each other with threats or gossips because they want to be the "number one" Which as you can see in this series, the girls HELPS each other to be number one and isn't greedy. |

Really enjoyed it, but the writing isn't as good as it is in the main series. Maybe they had to tone things down to make it less kid-oriented? |

That really was such an endearing film. The references to past episodes were a nice touch and really sealed away Ichigo's era splendidly. It even made me like Akari a bit more, which is always a good thing. |

An amazing movie and a great way to wrap up Ichigo's story. Akari is such a good girl, always looking out for Ichigo. I'm really enjoying her role as the mc in Aikatsu currently and I can't wait to see how far she goes. Mizuki is probably my favourite character in the whole series. She's kind, inspiring and a hard worker. IMO she's so under appreciated and she gets so much unnecessary hate but I love everything she is. I really hope to see her again soon. Overall a 5/5 for this movie. |

I really didn't like the movie too much. I was waiting for something else, not a festival dedicated to Ichigo. I like that Sumire and Hinami appear on the movie, just like 2 minutes or less, but I like that detail. The dress that used Ichigo when she sang the last song (before the encore with Mizuki and Akari, but thinking it she used the same dress there) was my favourite. And finally the 4 girls from Deam Academy didn't make such an important appearence, I thought they will appear mopre, not only on Ichigo's festival. I put this movie a 7 of 10. The animation with CGI was really amazing. it was basically great animation. Comparing with the CGI and animation of the very first episodes, it is simply better. |

I'm kinda late but congrats to Ichigo finally! What a great way to finish the best character's story ( Ichigo ). Kagayaki no Etude and all the past songs coming back was amazing too. Honestly glad Ichigo's story was wrapped up very well. I'm so glad I finally watched this movie otherwise Season 3 with Akari woukd've felt really weird to me. Ichigo really is GOAT. She pretty much made carried Aikatsu for me since without a main character like her I would've easily gave up on this show. 9/10 |

On par with the better eps of the series. But what I really came to say is that I wish the entire movie was made with the retro graphics in the ending. |

This stupid maggot Akari ruined the whole movie. But i like the moment when she realized that Ichigo's mom is Miya from Masquerade. |

This movie was really good,it had a very similar feel to S1 which I consider the best part of the series so that was a really good thing. It did however have a few harder to get through parts as well. Enjoy all the cameos of old supporting characters until the DreamAca girl appeared. Was fighting back tears with everything leading up to Ichigo's performance. Loved that they had a song with Ichigo,Mizuki and Akari (though admittedly wasn't a big fan of the song but w/e) and how it was basically symbolic of the past, present and future of aikatsu. Ichigo passing off the mic/her dream to Akari (more symbolism!) Ichigo finally becoming the #1 ranking idol which was long overdo honestly, this should have happened way back in episode 50 during the Starlight Queen Cup (actually shed a tear over this). A high 7/10 or low 8/10 overall. |

God, this movie was just too good, it's all I wanted it to be. Organizing the live stage was so fun to watch with all the preparations and the search for the perfect song to play at the climax of the event, Kanon did such a great job writing it and together with Ichigo's appreciation towards Mizuki, it reached her to continue to move forward. Akari and the others also did so much to ensure that everything would end as wished, all the important characters of the first two seasons from both Starlight and DreAca joining together for these performances made them unforgettable The concert as a whole was amazing, so many awesome songs together with the fantastic CGI of the series for the dances made them so much fun, there is also the live drama played by the cast, I felt like I was there watching it with the rest of the audience, how they made time was risky as fuck tho, thank god everything went ok xD I love the theme of finding the inspiration for a dream thanks to another person that this anime has, Mizuki is so important for Ichigo after changing her life towards the world of idols, and now it's time for Akari to chase Ichigo the same way, she totally has the talent to do it. I really like pixel art and the movie caught me off guard with that ending theme, playing the main OPs and EDs that didn't show up before during the movie together with the pixel visuals, too good. I loved this movie, definitely one of my favorites. |

Wow, talk about timing to actually watch this on December 13th. That was absolutely wonderful. The Starmiya Festival really brought out the best of Aikatsu and the character chemistry was top notch. Ichigo's journey came full circle and this whole movie left me feeling euphoric. I've been watching Aikatsu on and off for over six years and this really does feel like a dream come true. After watching this, I certainly feel like I can set off to a wonderful future. 9/10. On a side note, I adored the little Ichigo icon popping in & out on the backscreen during the encore performance. It was a small touch, but it really added to the feel good sensation that comes with Ichigo's character. |

This was a very good movie. You could really feel Ichigo's appreciation towards Mizuki in the song Happy Crescendo. Kanon did a great job writing it. It was also nice to see Seira, Maria, Kii, and Sora, although they weren't given so much screen time. It's so odd that they are almost completely removed from the main series. Mizuki, Ichigo, and Akari's performance was very emotional. Hilarious Akari moments. |

I do have a really mixed feelings after watching this movie. I really like the opening concert the best where everyone perform together. It makes me really miss StarAnis so much. From the coreography, costume, the concert and the animation, all of them are stellar. One thing that I realise about why I love the series despite not liking idols to begin with is how much I adore the cast especially the friendship between the main trio. How much supportive and helpful Ichigo's friends throughout the show. And yet somehow I felt a little sad that her friends are really underappreciated for how good of a friend they have been. Ichigo might be the luckiest girl around. I know it's pretty much her movie but still... Mizuki got a good conclusion for her but it's long overdue. Now it's up to Akari to continue the path that have been set by her senpai. |
